i remember playing this when i was about 6... man this was the best you could get back then... (only it was full version...) now adays you dont get that kind of feeling after beating the game

What a blast from the past. I remember waiting for that to hit the shelves.
Very exciting times. The first time I played it, my processor was a DX2-66
66mhz doesn't do much anymore. 8 bit graphics I don't miss.
I had just started programming, and John Carmack instantly became my hero.
Thanks Mike, its about time somebody did something for us old farts.
So...can we expect some Quake in the future? ;-)

Hahaha this takes me back. Just a shame you didn't port the original controls. Space is doors and Ctrl is fire, not the other way around. And strafes live in < and >. I'm guessing you changed so that it was more comfortable for todays younger wasd gamer. Anyway thanks for doing this, was fun :D

Playing this game was such a breath of fresh air after blazing through the new remake. So much nostalgia and good times. As soon as I saw the first secret area in the new one I thought "OMG, I wish I could play Doom 1 all over again." This flash version may have its limits but I still love every bit of it.

great game!!! never have been one for shooters myself, but to play the original in all it crappy glory, AMAZING!!!!!!! my only complaint is that i couldn't play the rest of the chapters!

For anyone whos wondering how to input the codes, just clock in the letters for a certain code quickly and it should activate without any problems. No console needed!

Its a great game but it has not aged well in the controls department, but I still had a lot of fun playing this classic

Good, but need change controls on keyboard+mouse & full screen. And if tie multiplayer it will be the best game on flash. :D

Classic game, it's good to back to the old games. Played it all the time when when I was young and I'm still loving it.
