Probably THE FIRST FPS if not THE FIRST GAME that I've ever played in my life, about 10 years ago. Biggest nostalgia EVAH!

Impressive, even the secrets are intact. I applaud the efforts that went into this. Doom is still one the best shooters you can play. While there have been huge leaps in FPS games there has also been some loss. Beautiful graphics and story are great things, but I really to miss the clever and deadly level designs of yesteryear. Not to mention the secrets; when did we stop putting secrets in these games? A quick note to the developer, I noticed a missing switch in the first level. It's not major, it just allows you to get the armor earlier in the level. The switch can normally be found in the room off to the left as you start the level. It's on the right side of the pillar on the right side of the stairs. Just a small nit pick, other wise Fantastic job!

Great game. Absolutely amazing work. Doom 3 sucks compared to this. Anyways this is not the latest version. The latest version has Hexen and Heretic. I dont know if the version I played was official but it did include Ported to flash by Mike, so I assume it is. You can play it at xgenstudios.com

More cheats (read FFsquall8's comment for the three other cheat commands) idclev1(1-8) EX: idclev18. Idbehold R=Radioactive suit, I=Partial Invisibility, V=Invulnerability, A=Computer Area Map, L= Light Amplification Visor, S= Berserk. Idchoppers gives you a chainsaw. Iddt once gives you the entire map. Iddt twice gives enemies and decorations and pickups. Idfa (like FFsquall8's example) gives you your guns and armor, but excludes keys. Idmypos gives you your location in coordinates. Idmus## is for the real thing, where it includes music, not for this flash demo. I hope this helps you. Vote up so others can see.

Dromane, you're the stupid one for thinking that's what he meant. He was talking about how this was one of the first in it's genre, which eventually lead to CoD and even some other FPS games.

if any one likes doom i will be converting doom 1 (all levels) on to kongregate.

For those who are not used to the flash version of this (because all the controls are different) Shift is run Ctrl is open doors Space is shoot and the number keys change your gun... and obviously arrow keys to move

W, A, S, D or ARROW KEYS – movement ;
Q, E – strage left, right ;
SPACE – fire ;
R – use door/switch ;
SHIFT – run ;
ESCAPE – menu ;
TAB – map ;
NUMBER KEYS – change weapon
also to move in the menu screen use your "arrow keys" and to select them press the "enter" key

You play by pressing enter or select
Controls
W to move foward
A to move left
S to move backwords
R to move right
1 or 2 etc. to switch your weapons
spacebar to shoot
CTRL to activate doors
Basically that is all you need to know

i remember my first time playing doom, on the first level i saw the imp on that tall platform and i was like WTF how the hell do i shoot him! then i learned what autoaim meant.
