You should make checkpoints. i was getting very frustrated dying over and over and having to start from the beginning of the course.

i've dodged lava balls to get deeper into a dungeon to bring gold to my king; to save a princess; for death and glory; to discover my past; for many reasons. but never before to read a conclusion to a completely unrelated story.

I really like the general concept of the game, and the music/art style adds a certain feeling that I also enjoy. However, some aspects of the actual game-play are a bit frustrating at times. For example, not being able to avoid the red orbs at certain points, you could make it so that William can duck down and dodge, perhaps? After all, there are only so many times a person can go through the same level without getting mildly irritated. Though as a whole, I certainly think it's an enjoyable game. c:

This is interesting but the controls are driving me nuts. The developer asked "Would you prefer jumping on the up arrow?" Yes please. AND Woo I killed the queen! I'm a murderer now :D AND Question: Is there just the two "William died" and "William is behind the door" endings? Is it possible to get the 'William behind door' ending without talking to the dryad? And the first time I tried talking to the dryad, it wouldn't say anything to me. Do you have to make it sparse before talking to her? Does picking 'Mother' or 'Father' change the storyline at all? Also, after beating the game, you should unlock a "Storyline mode" where you can click the words instead of platforming.

I hate that you jump lower when clinging to the wall. I love it, but a bit short. 5/5 from me. Maybe more than 2 endings next time?

The controls aren't touchy as much as it's just difficult to hit the top jump height at times (Especially when pressing yourself onto a wall.)

Really great game. Interesting story, executed in an interesting way. I would've liked for it to be a little longer, and the controls were somewhat annoying at times, but still a 4/5.

I'm a big fan of choose your own adventures, and this was fun to play, but i wish their were more endings, or that you don't have to go through the sparse, but you can go through the dense one.
(As mentioned by others) - the controls leave a lot to be desired. If I work on something like this again, you should find the platforming experience much smoother and easier to complete :)

I just wish my computer didn't fail so hard at flash-based platformers so I could actually finish this game. Looks promising.

Is there any reason why jump couldn't be mapped to W, Up AND Spacebar at the same time? Likewise for the other movement controls.
Yes and no. Technically, yes it could. However, I was struggling a lot with getting it to work in Stencyl without causing other errors and people were wanting alternative controls ASAP as I only included one set of controls to start, so I needed to hurry. Any game I work on from this point will include controls like you'd mentioned, or at least the option to change you control scheme in-game - I'd underestimated how important they are to people :)

the game is easy, the controls are hard -.- the sometimes slow upon contact with walls killed me more often than any errors i made or any true difficulty. the somewhat fixed jump height is really annoying as it makes precise jump almost impossible. again with the sliding on the walls, if the jump is one that you can just barely manage, moving to the side will cause you to fail since you'll slow down and not go as high as you should. 1/5 from me. the story was good, but nothing else.

A cool idea is that William died but as a final act to save you when you wake in the field the are actually Fey and you find a boy who has lost his memory and you can ruin him and make him forget all or bring his memory back and save him and you discover that boy is you at the end when you hear him say I will not stay

Doesn't really have multiple endings...unless I missed something, were those symbols that show up in the later levels supposed to be collectable?
There are two endings, unless you count giving up and staying in the Fey Realm forever a third ending ;) It's not much though, more a 'good' and 'perfect' ending depending if you explore everything or not. The symbols weren't collectible, but I might work collectibles into the next one. Is that something you'd like to see? :)
Thank you very much :) I've jut started a new job and am moving city, but once I'm settled I shall be working on another of these as people seem to like them so much! :)
Well now, that is an idea! I will be exploring a larger array of characters and choices in the next one. I'll make sure there are some evil choices for you ;)
