So much to say about this, I can't say it all... so beautiful. It doesn't "hold your hand" like a lot of games today. I had a hard time letting go in the end. I definitely want to play this with my surround sound another day when it's not so late at night.

The first time, that gate closed on me. I was busy reading the texts that appeared. The game ended there and I was confused. The second try I did everytinhg the same. Untill I was halfway there; It hit me. You had to let go of her. I got chills, and I literally almost cried. Wow, man.. wow. I'm very close to playing it a second time to re-live it all... This is veeeeeery impressive.

Whao, a really nice game that lets the player relfect upon one's feelings through out and after the game. I love how you represented the jounery of the relationship through the change of the blocks. Initially it was flat then it became inclined and finally smaller. I was also quite surprised at the escaping part that was well shown as you leave her and run towards a closing gate. Music was very nice and something that most games here on kong doesn't have. Overall, 5/5 from me. Nice game.

I'm only on level one and I love this game... it's so... sad... just by the music I can tell there will be a sad ending...(and the other comments I read) ;P.If I had to make a REAL choice, I wouldn't let go. I would've just stayed no matter what. The game has a very simple look to it, but has a deeper meaning (hence the first text that read: "This is not a love story.")
This game is truly beautiful and fun to play. I highly recommend to anyone who's interested. ;) Although be warned, this game may make you cry... LOTS. 5 out of 5 stars.

Hi Mindfulxp. I'm a deaf gamer. Looks like a lovely game, I love the playing with light and darkness, but the screen went blank after the first platform section. Reading the comments, I see you're supposed to walk towards a sound. Obviously that's impossible for me, being deaf and all that. I wandered around for a bit hoping to stumble on the next trigger, but nothing.
Is it possible to incorporate some sort of visual cue? Even a softly glowing light in the corner of the screen? Would also help other hard-of-hearing people or people without surround sound.

A really great game. Simple but great. Crappy thing was, I had someone I was thinking about while playing. That made it harder in the end for me because I kept trying to make it through the gate with them even though I knew it wasn't going to work anymore. There probably is never going to be someone there to hold your hand through to the end and a lot of things may feel so unresolved, You'll eventually find yourself having to go it alone through challenges if you want to make progress. Otherwise you'll be stuck and will not get anywhere. < I can't believe I just said that. Great game indeed!

I get it. She was the light, and if you let her go, you felt desperate and confused. Like if you knew her, and she left, you would feel desperate and confused.

This game is one of the most compelling games I have ever played, experiencing what it is like to be in a love life first of all but one where you must let the other person go for a while but then come back to them. That slapped round the face towards the end

I let go, I caved in to the nagging doubts--but it was too late, I held on for too long and the door closed. I found myself stuck with no one to keep me company; Tears formed, and I asked myself, "Why, oh why did I let go?" Thank god for a second chance, but letting go was one of the hardest things I've done in a game. Doing so made me so heavy, I literally felt a weight as I climbed those final steps. Each one grew harder and harder to climb as I worried what would be at the top. I found myself looking around for any other path than that one, because I knew. I knew...I couldn't handle it. That sinking feeling was represented beautifully in the end. Love lost is the best inspiration for any kind of work, and it came through for you here.

I found the bell sound like she was calling me, she was missing me... And I felt I'd miss her too. I didn't want to leave her, I just couldn't unhear her call. Understanding that I had no choice made me cry, and finish the game with my eyes covered in tears. I loved this. 5/5

The story was indeed powerful and I felt like it could have bought me to tears. But I found the controls really annoying, with the camera costantly moving and making me fall from the platforms. Bu then, maybe it was just my mouse that was unsteady. I'd have preferred the camera to be controlled by the keyboard. Other than that, I feel like the story was really awesome, deep and meaningful, with the holding hands, the letting go, and the sadness that filled the game - especially in the end. I could picture the two characters and feel their pain. The music was beautiful too. I will play it again in some time, maybe while I will be in a better mood.

This is what i think about the story line: You like HER, but all you can just do is...be together. You liked it like this, and thought, if she felt the same way he felt to her. Soon, you start to think about how you can be better alone. Even if you were far from her, you would be just fine. After the first platform jumps in the game, you learn that she was going to leave. For all of this time, you never made a move, never in months. You start running after her, even if she was far,far ahead. At the end, you meet her there. At the gate,you stay together awhile for a short time,but, knowing that she will be happier without him,you let go. She came back soon, and when you came up to see her, she was holding hands...not with you...but another person.

AHHHHHHHHHHH ;-; I get it... I freaked out when I realized that I had to let go to make it through the gate... then when I was jumping across the sea of pillars it said "her avoiding eyes" and I realized I was looking down at the pillars instead of ahead so that I wouldn't fall... D":

I first saw Markiplier playing this, where it made me sad, but now that I'm playing it myself, it's so much more powerful, making me remember my own first relationship like this. This game's story is literally me. Irrelevant of quality, or how there's other games like this, or anything else, this game was amazing and powerful. 7/5

I didn't understand what he meant when he said that that didn't happen. i tried to make it across with her, but i couldn't do it. i felt horrible when i heard her cries as i walked away. i love games kinda like these such as grey, alphaland, the company of myself, fixation, the i saw her standing there series, experimental shooter 2, and the majesty of colors. i love the philosophical games like these, and i cant get enough. 5/5 i love it
