Oh my goodness. I was playing and he said "Kill the creature by jumping on it." I said in real life "I don't trust you.." And it said "Trust me."
I almost pissed myself.

great game, but i'm more or less stuck on the ...EIT level. which is a shame, cause everything was great about this game, until this unnecessary perfect jump routine level. what a pitty.

Actually, Pish, he has a right to express his opinions and there's nothing wrong with that. Games, like any other form of art, ARE capable of being "picked apart" and in fact I feel that constructive criticism can be extremely helpful. Just because you disagree with him doesn't make him wrong. He was being rather rude and shallow, but don't demonize him on the grounds that critiquing games is a bad thing, because it isn't.

@CakeBandit: Shut-up and let us enjoy the game without your annoying cynicism. It's a game. It's meant to be enjoyed and interpreted at the players whim. Not picked apart and insulted by assholes. If you don't like it then don't play it and certainly don't comment it.

This is very good! Reminds me a bit of Loved. The bizarre creepiness of your guide lying to you is not totally original, but I still like the trope, and I also like how you subvert standard platforming mechanics. Very interesting. Kongregate really needs a category for "philosophical games".

This game desperately wants to be one of the deep games with a tricky, omnipresent guide. Unfortunately, it doesn't have anything deeper than doing exactly the opposite of the instructions provided. Platforming is basic and uninspired, spikes are subverted into pickups, there's a "jump lower" powerup, and there are portions where the level is illogically skewed and you have to guess as to where platforms are. This game is like a sad little game that desperately wants to be portal but doesn't understand anything about why it was so popular to begin with.
TL:DR
Level design is ass, and the "depth" goes no farther than "NO U". Making a quality game requires more than pixel-y graphics and a guide that doesn't like you.

after playing this game5 times, i JUST realised that depict one and poetic end were anagrams of deception....i am such an idiot T_T
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
this game is pretty cool. ridiculously awesome 5/5.
....... he always tells the truth, but following his advice leads to death........ this is because he is your opposite, and he speaks from his own point of view. touching.

1st ending: you are trapped you walked into the light 2nd ending:you are free you defeated your clone and walked into the light! me: how come im not trapped when i walked into the light?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@boredpoo, it should not be spikes the clone falls into because you shot him with a spike; wouldn't that kill him? Also, it never said that creatures had different "kills me" and "doesn't kill me" objects, seeing as how they never fall of there ledges. he is not necessarily the opposite of you just because he is a different color and mirrors your movements.

If you pay attention to the Level name at the end while it is changing (assuming you got ending 2) it says a few things.
Deception
Depictone
Poeticend
Epictoned (lol wut?)
As well as other possible anagrams, if not proper English.

Notice when you kill your clone and when the screen is cracking you see the level name change.
eventually it says depict one and poetic end. wierd huh?

Absolutly Amazing. It gets better the second time you play it... It lets you re-see the Deception and can give you a better Idea of whats going on. So far, this is the best Puzzle game, for It has some of my favorite things: A Girl. Darkness. Caged to Free. Great Truth/A Meaning. Puzzle. Evil Talks (to you)... Thank You, mirosurabu, for putting it on Kongregate.

I love the dialog in the end when you face *spoiler alert!* your darker half. It seems obsessive, possessive, and sweetly insane and for some reason it's all your own fault.
