How i got the hard medal: the game always try to get in the sequence: red, purple, gray. Catch'em all FIRST! If u need it, take photos of the screen and pause the game. The computer calculate the possibilities faster than us cause it doesn't THINK! Hope this helps...

It's unfair when you uprade ex) Let's say you have 400 health and he has 525 when you upprgade you get 500 then he gets 625 ._.

Ok, this game is way to easy until you reach the final boss. Then it is impossible. No, it IS possible but as it doesn't depends on what you do, it's quite boring.
With both character, I never lost until giant squiddy. I've been here for several hours now and I never have the slight advantage...

Ok, I give up, the last boss is just straight up retarded. I can consistantly get him to around 100 health, but then he magically pulls exactly what he needs to finish me off out of his ass.

1/5 for the stupid randomness vs. squid - nothign you can do but grind and grind and grind and hope to get lucky. For bonus points: one time, he healed full health + energy for no reason (no animation, he hadn't died - it just reset mid-battle).

This game's final boss is too much strong: I tried many times to beat him, with everything maxed, but I got no result... BioGems needs rebalancing! -.-

Addictive game. A 'Skip Turn' button would be nice, as sometimes it's better to wait and have the enemy dig its own grave.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Its bad enough that he's impossible to beat, but does the octopus really have to annoy us by throwing his tentacles all over the playing field?

Boss is just sad , you dont need to know how to play , you have to pray for luck.
Skip this game young fellows , wise advice.

People complaining about luck have apparently never played a gem-match game. Really? I think it's a pretty format for the tried and true genre. Nothing groundbreaking, but neither does it deserve a low rating.

Let's see, no that the computer has had 3 turns in a row each causing multiple combos and leaving me at 13HP it's my turn, guess I'll take the 3 yellow gems as they are all that's left, oh look there's 4 purple ready for the computer's turn, wonder if it will notice...

Great game! Only two qualms: 1-I wish your own defense applied when an enemy counter-attacks. 2-I wish you could have the ability/could upgrade how much you heal yourself for with the green blocks.

A few constructive criticisms: 1.) Needs more upgrades I think. You can upgrade them all to max in relatively short time, so maybe add an extra level or two to each one. 2.) I set up a pretty big multi-bonus which would have allowed me to hit the final boss 5 or 6 times, but after the first hit (his HP went to 0 and his "final form" took over) his HP reset and the rest of my bonuses were lost. It would be nice if they carried over. 3.) The interface with mochi games doesn't seem to be working as well as it should. You have to submit your score each time if you want anything to show up on achievements, and the combos don't seem to be showing up no matter what. Otherwise, this is a great game and I hope to see badges in the future!

Great game! AI is a little slow though.. consistently misses 4/5 combos, and opts for a 3 using some of the same gems.
At first I thought the last two fights, the bosses were a bit over powered, but once I realized how much damage I could absorb with shields (100%!!) it became clear that the game is much more balanced than many folks here seem to think. 5/5 and thanks.

Here's my strategy against the last boss: Upgrade Counter and Defense to highest level. Rage and Health upgrades are good too. From highest to lowest priority moves: x4 or more combos, defense, counter, eliminating the last Purple or Grey attack, rage, healing. Energy should not be a problem. If all you have is energy or healing moves, consider letting the timer run out, and make him make that move. All too often making a move brings in new gems that open up an attack. Your basic goal is to wait for combos to show up using Defense, make him hurt himself using Counter, and fill up your Rage bar for a big hit. Don't max out Rage if he has defense or counter up. Grey and Purple moves are too slow to kill him by themselves, and Greens will never keep up with the damage he deals you, so if those work into combos, great, otherwise the only reason to grab them is to keep him from doing it. Hope this helps people that are viewing the boss as impossible. Luck is still a factor, so good luck!

Oh what a coincidence, my enemy removes some gems and a row of four special attack gems fall down and give him a super duper ultra bonus combo which knocks me out instantly.

For all the people saying last boss is too hard, it does take luck but I was able to do it after a few tries without even full upgrades. Priority at beginning goes to damaging matches, if only one use it, if not use shield/counter combo if possible. After that make sure you use all the damage combos and if there are none try not to let the octopus get one (highly down to luck as to which three drop). It is possible to slowly bring him down to size.

i see that alot of people are having trouble beating the last boss. yes it requires some luck. but the main strategy should be to match tiles in such a way that the boss can't get any useful tiles. most of the time you want to make sure that there are no possible attack tile matches for him so it will force the boss to make useless matches like energy and health.

final boss does more damage in physical, magic, and rage, has almost triple my hp, and has the benefit of AI telling it how to play and get a dozen combos every turn. games based on luck = not fun, there are better ways of balancing.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This game was decent until the end. Dude, if you're gonna make a game where the final result depends ENTIRELY on luck, then don't make the bosses have 50% more health and damage than you. The fun of playing the game fairly quickly becomes a very biased coin flip, and isn't worthy of a Hard badge (maybe a Luck badge).
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Now I remember why I stopped playing this game; because you can have a great game and then the boss gets a lucky combo chain with a dozen HP and kills you in three hits.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I swear, i'm on a rampage right now. The game is nice and fun but only if it turns out lucky for you and not for your enemy with mega rainbows, bombs and extra turns GNAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's refreshing to see that 100% really means 100% and that it's not just a relative number compared to some unknown quantity.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
So . . . lemme get this straight. The computer never misses a pair. Never. But I'm on a timer. How exactly is that not bullcrap?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I agree with the majority of participants in this game: The game is fun and enjoyable until you hit the boss. Not because it's hard necessarily but because to beat him and finish the game you need some SERIOUS luck on your side. That octo needs some serious balancing.. who agrees?
