Under rating threshold (show) I hate how the speech is always blocking my view, and the text has random words in all caps... Navigating was kind of a pain seeing as the arrow is in a completely different place from where my mouse is

Under rating threshold (show) I really love the overall atmosphere of the game. It has lots of interesting angles and viewpoints. I wouldn't call it "scary" per se, but it's pretty creepy. More of a mystery, I think. The puzzles were challenging, but that's to be expected. Difficulty of the puzzles themselves aside, I do have to say that there were not a lot of hints as to where I was supposed to be looking for things (in walls for example). It would have been nice to have more of a hint in that direction; perhaps a mention about hidden places? I know churches have them all the time, but still it didn't occur to me right off the bat. There were a few puzzles (i.e. lantern, constellation) that were downright Myst-like! I really could not have completed it without the walkthrough (but that's par for the course for me and puzzle games). All in all, a good time was had. I look forward to the sequel.

Under rating threshold (show) Being able to photograph things is a nice touch. Some adventure games rely too much on remembering things or having to write them down

Under rating threshold (show) All of the really easy puzzles had incredibly descriptive hints which practically gave the solution away, while a whole bunch of subtle nuance-based clues, like orienting the plaques, was just sort of left "lying around" in the hopes that you might encounter it. And though many have said so already, that clue about the ladder was annoying. The word "behind" barely makes sense in the game context (barely!) and is absolutely illogical in a real-world sense. Also, I'm fairly annoyed that none of the stones in the wall that you need to click on are made distinct in any way at all. At least for the lodestone you have the compass to guide you (and really, at some point you should notice that the giant arrow pointing north is disagreeing with your compass) but the other ones are all unremarkable background art.

Under rating threshold (show) Pretty good! I had fun doing this. Some of the puzzles were hard, but nothing felt truely arbitrary, and I liked the theming, reusing clues. Some of the click zones were a little small, though. The music was appropriate, but got boring after a little while.

Under rating threshold (show) Fantastic! Can't wait for the next installment. Some of the clues were obscure but I figured it out by mousing over absolutely everything! And then reading the messages. Also helps to think like someone from the dark ages...If I were them what would I have done?! The only gripe I have is the way things are removed/put back into inventory. That really could have been a lot smoother. Why do I want to go around with my lighter in front of my face? Otherwise GREAT JOB!!

Under rating threshold (show) its not the fault of the game if you are not able to solve it ... this behavior is making kong to release all this rather easy badges lately. I used the walkthrough and gave 5/5.

Under rating threshold (show) 2/5. ok i love puzzle games like this but this is just ridiculous. for one, how the hell am i supposed to get to the top of the rafters. I've already tried about every single area possible. also where's the stupid north key? oh and that mural with the holes? how am i supposed to "investigate it further"? there's like little to no hints in this puzzle game. >.<

Under rating threshold (show) I never would have noticed the one star blinking oddly (scroll). Especially with the Casseopeia star being so blatant, the attention to detail for that one puzzle was pretty disparate from the rest of the game. Lodestone was another sticking point for me, too. The HUGE zones for the arrows were annoying, I went up & down the ladder a few dozen times by accident looking for the last plaque. Great game though, can't wait for part II. Nice work!

Under rating threshold (show) The puzzles were actually very good and challenging, even though I only managed to figure out the logic behind some of them after using the walkthrough. The main problem with them is that the written hints aren't clear or accurate. The nineteenth rung one, for instance - it's completely misleading. And most everything to do with the lodestone is so obscure that it's almost impossible for the average player. Just finding the lodestone, for instance, was ridiculously tedious. A hint popping up in the right room when you enter with the compass in your inventory would make it a lot better. As to the keys, the hint is way too vague and in fact is only of use when it comes to finding the lodestone. Funnily enough, the puzzle that stumped me for the longest was the in-your-face way the password is derived. I'd been faithfully following obscure clues and hints for so long that the way the password puzzle is set up came as a total non sequitur.

Under rating threshold (show) It’s a nice puzzle game, but, as with many puzzle games, the plot doesn’t really make sense. Your uncle clearly knew about those things you find hidden at the end of the game. Did he lock them away there? He obviously must have known how to find the hidden plates—why weren’t THEY in the sealed envelope in the intro? Getting your help obviously wasn’t as important to him as his letter made it sound. “I cannot tell you where I am, only how to find me”—he didn’t even do that much.

Under rating threshold (show) about the secret note, though, kcho, which consequence were you worried about? The moon was set in the same direction in the mural, which would create no problem for the plate, and the photo that you take of the moon constellation would make it easy for you to find the difference and thus the secret note.

Under rating threshold (show) Ok it was great game and i liked how each part required several things to be in place i order to advance. But direction was vague and hard to understand what to do next. In my own oppinion i cant think of any ways to make the game clearer but until someone does come up with a way, 4/5.

Under rating threshold (show) Really nice game, but I have a few criticisms. Sometimes, the dialogue box got in the way of my game. It would be much better if I could click it to make it disappear, rather than wait for it to disappear itself. The lantern puzzle was really tricky. Although you had references to Saints, I couldn't find any way to link the saints to each lantern. It became a bit of a guessing game until it hit me that the numbers on the graves were the key. Each number is a year, so put each lantern in chronological order based on the symbol the way they appear on the tablet. The key puzzle was the worst...I still don't get that, so thanks for the walkthrough.
