got bored by stage 4, its very annoying how the ball just bounces up & down when you press x even when it was going side to side. study physics much?

Always fun but frustrating at times because you dont get lives till later. Level 19 I lost all but my initial life (very cheap level, bullets go horizontal at chest level) Also the selective ball direction change after explosions is thee most annoying thing. If the ball is headed left itll go right after an explosion usually trapping it in a pattern when you have 9 in that skill. But if the direction change will make it head toward bricks that are left it will not change direction after an explosion. Other than that very satisfying to beat with all the challenges it offers, 5/5 for 20 fun filled levels.

Psykoemo: you are not satanist, or emo you have no idea what you are because you have no identity, enjoy being a nobody

Interesting. :D I enjoyed it to the end. Tough decision between the bombing and the shadow orbs... I went shadow and did bombs in the end.

A great take on Breakout! Would have liked to see a different life system and some more balanced abilities, but aside from those, I loved it. 5*

i think it's a nice twist to breakout... but with the shadow orbs making a red clusterf**k out of the playing field and them making the monsters negligible, it just gets dumb! 4/5

Seen level 20 thus far... KINDA DIFFICULT, TEE-HEE!? º¬º Save function would be a waste of a good challenge! Just switch Unholy Bless to be a bit more random; the orb ALWAYS goes where you least want it after UB triggers [backward]. This is worst when you're down to a few blocks in a corner, but it makes many levels abysally implausible if you pump UB up thinking it will continue to be a good skill. Other skills are pathetically underpowered in comparision but they lack excruciating regrettable drawbacks -- shadow orb damage is negligible, and that's the only alternative I can see to Bombing runs -- a third skill [even something as simple as upgradable orb speed would fix that]. I'd spend plenty of skill points to change the Soul Orb's color too. :P Still I haven't enjoyed a game like this since the ColourPods. 5'd

I like in how it incorporates the RPG elements well. Even though it seems to be a wee bit easy.
Also, they gameplay mechanics are slightly similar to this obscure Japan-only game "The Highly Responsive To Prayers" that can be played on an x86 emulator. It's the first in the cult-classic Touhou series. Though, this is I believe to be the only game of its kind in the series. The sequels all took a different direction to being a classic Bullet-Hell shmup franchise. It's really interesting and the series should be brought over here in a complete compilation.
