Journeyman level 11 can NOT be solved without guessing. I stared at it for a good 30 minutes before plugging it into a program, and IT can't even solve it.

This is a great logic game! Very well done and polished. My only complaint is that if you're trying to solve it with logic, you will never get the medals for some levels. For most of the master and grandmaster puzzles, I've had to memorize some aspect of them in order to finish them on time.

I love it, but I've just cleared an expert one, the last one of the second row, and it doesn't allow it. Could there be more than 1 solutions? (I've used the coin before.

The 50x50 puzzle is in fact not solvable by logic alone. There is an ambiguous area where the 9th and 10th rows intersect the 18th, 19th, 21st and 22nd columns. There are 2 possibilities there that both fit the numbers perfectly, but only one counts as the right solution, so you have to either figure out the answer intuitively based on what looks right, or just guess.

I cannot imagine ever doing this the "traditional" way, without the auto-correct setting... I wonder how people back in the day solve this puzzle???

Love the game, but I agree that not being able to see all the numbers is annoying. Also, when you have filled in squares, it is difficult to see the numbers superimposed on them. This game would be totally addicting if a way to handle the numbers were available. The magnifier doesn't do it for me, to solve without error it's important to see all the rows and columns at the same time.

Good game. Should use different colors. Hard to tell when the numbers were a faded dark brown number or a non-faded light brown number.

xD for the longest time i thought +1 or +5 was a good thing but it means +1 minutes or +5 minutes to your time. Thats the penalty for trying to colour in an empty space or mark a space empty that should be coloured. Anyways, 5/5 :)

A good game. Would have been 5/5 except for the amount of scrolling you have to do on screen for the larger grids and on some of the grids I thought the grey numbers were difficult to see.

Camels, it's just a traditional puzzle game called 'japanese crossword', not stolen FROM mario.. :)
But the colours are cool anyway.. :)

WooHoo! My timer on an apprentice puzzle says it took me 1 hour to complete, it lies, I only spent 2 minutes on that, silly game, I only wanted to get the maximum score, so I tried collecting the +1's

love the game. but its not unique. its a copy of mario's picross on gameboy. they just added multiple colors in this game, which is awesome.

For anyone else who got stuck on the bottom left master puzzle like me for ages, the grey numbers in the 2nd column (1,4,4) and row (1,6,2) are restricted to a smaller area then you think they are because there are black numbers in the 10th column and 8,9,10 and 15th row which 'stick out' and so the grey numbers can't be put there.

It took me a year to find the little thing at the bottom left corner that let's you play out a solution and have the option to discard everything you just did if it doesn't work. That would have been nice to know....

I believe that the last puzzle DOES, in fact, have two answers. The gryphon's back ear can have the two components of it switched (i.e. BBBXX;XXBBB or XXBBB;BBBXX, where B is a black square, X is an empty square and ; is the line break for the subsection to which I am referring). Can anyone inform me of why I am wrong, if I am wrong?

nice background music. good instructions (needed a 'fresher). overdone though: too much glam. i like my picross simple. oh, and the penalties and stat tracking are ridiculously off: a minute for a mistake? that's just nasty. and why does it say i have 1 more gold medal and puzzle done than i have so far? weird...

absolutely love this game, and i was so happy to find it after playing one just like it on my kindle!!! the colors are a great twist of the one i have. just one suggestion though, a way to fill in all the squares in a row or the ones left needing to be crossed out would be extremely helpful and make clicking each square individually much less tedious!! definitely one of my fav games 5/5

I like this game, but it was slightly frustrating how you aren't allowed to experiment at all. As soon as you put something in the wrong place it corrects it with the right answer, and adds to your time... I don't like this also because I like using the time feature to measure how long I took, if it adds time to it for mistakes then it's not a true measure of my time. 3/5
