This really only becomes a problem in the Master set, but there are just some puzzles that are impossible to solve because of those stupid numbers that keep getting in your way.

For those wondering about the "What-if" - it lets you try a "partial solution of the puzzle" You get to fill cells and then decide wether or not to actually apply them. Helps a lot when trying out stuff.

If you completely filled a row in what if mode, the numbers grey out. if you discard it, the grey number wont turn back until you manipulate that row again. just a minor thingthough

Nice game; wish it had badges. It irks me how the angle of the pen is the opposite of what I'm used to seeing with the typical mouse pointer. Don't know if this bothered anyone else. The animation while dragging annoyed me too. I am really irritable today though, so it could just be that.

Color choice is really bad on some puzzles! If you have a dark color with numbers that shade out to a lighter color and pair it in a puzzle with almost the same shaded out lighter color (ie. the top right puzzle on the journeyman levels), you have a really crappy hard to do puzzle because you can't easily tell what corresponds to what unless the puzzle is empty.

I absolutely love these kinds of puzzles. One request--can you please please change the cursor? The design is nice, but it's huge and distracting and it's hard to get just the thin tip in the right position. I think the graphics overall are a bit overdesigned. Also, agree with the comment saying that the numbers need to always be visible. I love the idea and the general look, it just needs to be cleaned up I think.

There's a bit of a glitch: If you make mistakes more than once, the penalty increases. If you save/resume, the penalty counter starts from 1.

my only gripe is that it is difficult to see the light grey numbers, and I have to do those puzzles sitting at an angle to the screen to see them (my eyes are getting old). Otherwise this is one of my fav puzzlers :)

Greatest puzzle game I've ever played. Really loved it! Only thing I don't get is how some people have completed 66 levels in the high score list, when there are only 60 levels? o_O

After two and a half long days, I was finnally able to complete a grand master level puzzle. Though it was rough and it took much dedication, I finnaly made it! Oh YEAH!!!!!!

Good game, but got too annoying once the puzzles became too big to show the numbers properly, even more so on the levels with the light grey colour.

Jorneyman 12 and Grandmaster 2 told me that I am partially color-blind, never understood it before, but I can hardly distigush brown figures from violet there, though I can distinguish squares :(
Also I have trouble with big levels since they fit the screen pretty bad (unlike picma squred where big levels aren't problem since you don't need to see whole row/column), and lens is not helping much. Still, I love the game and return again and again. 5/5

I keep coming back to this game every day despite me not enjoying puzzle games. Its by far the best one on kong. 5/5, a rare perfect game.

I really don't like that for the largest puzzles, you can't see the whole puzzle even when you're zoomed out as much as possible. All that wasted space should go into making the actual play area bigger. The impaired gameplay from this drops my rating to 4/5. Great game, bad design.

I like this style of puzzle, but it would be better to create a more original puzzle, maybe add your own twist. Also, make sure all your puzzles are logically solvable.

Is there a walkthrough somewhere that explains how to get to the result? I´m stuck at an expert level, and I want to figure out how to solve it.
Or if anybody of you wants to help me: It´s the Green Black one.

Really enjoyed the game but i cant take how you cant see all the numbers unless you are hovering over the row on the puzzles 15x15 and larger. In my opinio only 2 of the 5 modes are playable. Therefore 2/5

I can't play this game, the purple and black numbers are soo similar I just can't deal with it. I am not color blind, but I wish I could turn on the color blind mode if it existed in this version.

Some of the colors are absolutely indistinguishable. And I don't know why you'd give penalties for wrong fills yet make them capable of being removed. For these very short medal times, it would be far more doable if the finished rows would auto-x for you. Speaking of medal times, why only give one time to beat if there are multiple medal colors? I absolutely love pixel fill games and play them all the time... this one, unfortunately, ranks toward the bottom.

@szczor if all methods fail you need to use contradictions to tell you what isn't in order to tell you what is, thus all puzzles (emphasis) are solvable in this matter, essentially logically and without hints. Therefore, your statement, which is a garbled mess, is flat-out wrong.

Can all puzzles be solved by logic? I found some impossible to solve without guessing, which is why I keep coming back to them without getting over a certain point. The first one of that sort would be the 9th expert puzzle. Just wanted to know if someone solved that one with 100% logic. Oh by the way: excellent game! 5/5

i love this game and the others you have made that are like this. my only issues are that: a) i need more! and b) i have trouble seeing the silver and gold colors and also differentiating between the black and purple. Thanks for all your hard work!

The third Grand Master puzzle appears to be mathematically impossible to get hardly any information on. Not even enough for What If to reasonably figure anything useful out.

Now I do enjoy Picross, and at first I enjoyed this too but I've found it way too easy make a simple mistake and if you are going for every gold medal, that is annoying as all hell. The fact that the indicators don't become faded even when you've got all the correct squares filled in until you cross out all the empty squares is also infuriating.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
really like this, classy take on picross. wish there was support for right-click instead of shift-click, also in master levels the numbers are irritating.

@romulusnr: Just do it in the mode that doesn't penalize you. That's what I do for exactly that reason (plus that I don't want hints.)

sometimes it adds time when I try to add an X
I don't know why that is, but it's annoying.
I know the X has to be there, but yet the game adds a penalty? it has to be a bug

A handy tip that I like is that if there is a large number, take it away from the number of squares in that row/column and then count back that number from both sides and all the squares in between can be filled, for example take the first expert puzzle, the second column - the 14 - 13 of those squares can be filled in as obviously 15-14 = 1, it can be helpful for the larger ones, but when there is more than one number/colour then it can be more of a hindrance. Good Game 5/5

It's Picross with the added element of additional colors. I really like Picross, and I LOVE adding elements to things! I also like how the author so obviously played World of Warcraft.

Classic me. Look at the "How to play" button think 'Nah, I'll pick it up in no time' after half an hour of random clicking to try and figure out what the numbers mean and how to play, I sheepishly went back to the menu to read about "How to play".

Grate implementation of this sort of game, large puzzles are a bit hard to work with though (even zoomed out). I ended up zooming all the way out, then zooming in with browser, but still can't see everything at once. Finished the game, it needs badges!
