I didnt watch the plot. I dont play flash games for plot. So I will only comment on the gameplay. Its really dull. Enemies die too fast and the upgrades are boring.

Love the game. The fights are a bit slow as the enemies go straight for the gate and are a bit easy. The story and just the feel between the fights is amazing. I really feel like I've fallen in love with this small group of survivors. Masterful work on the overall feel. Being able to strategise a bit more would be nice. As mentioned, placing soldiers would be nice as well as maybe towers? Just suggestions. It seems like you have it figured out tho with the next one that I'm more than anxiously waiting for. Great job!

"Doing the work of a small army." Seriously, I just killed a dozen shirtless, unarmed guys... and you have armor and an axe. How did you lose this keep again?

If he can lay a magical trap every thirty seconds or so, why doesn't he just spend all his waking hours laying a minefield?

*HELL YEAH NOOBS, IM GONNA SLASH YOU!*

*DAM U!* slashes breaker

Man, I'm not going to lie, I really kind of wish that I lived in this wayland keep place...guys giving out free "ferrus" (duuuuude, I heard he grows his own, it's totally dank man), free prostitutes that bang you if you ask nicely, and no pigs to toss ya in jail! That would be the life, just chillin', getting mad ripped all day long and...erm...'enjoying' the free prostitutes services while everyone talks about how amazing you are. It would be crazy.

Young soldier asks if you're a hero, it gives you the option to decline. Sexy prostitute asks and the only option is "Yes, of course it was me". Hmmm....

well i save all of you from certain death on a daily basis, yet you still ask for money to upgrade my armor my sword, oh and REPAIR THE WALLS THAT ARE KEEPING YOU ALIVE, but of course there are always bloody bastards looking to make a penny

The prostitute made the game, She and her cooking is halarious! I dont like the actual gameplay though, A good computer freezes, the controls are to hard, and you cant keep up with anything, but 5 stars for the story, sex jokes, and the comedic cooking prostitute. And being enslaved is worse if your a female... That sentance makes me feel horrible. I'd die in battle before I let the enslavery take place. Of course modern warfare has more morality in that subject at least.

Frustrating. I really dislike being fed a new skill every day and how the enemies COMPLETELY ignore me. Oh no don't go for the guy who basically slaughtered half your men and if you kill him you'll basically win the war... go for the gate instead. I'd like a taunt ability... a little more customization... and perhaps even some way to build turrets or traps so I don't have to keep struggling with number keys.

Very fun game, tho I think it needs to be optimized a bit more. I have a very fast computer and the game froze for couple of seconds when I used all my abilities when there were about 50~ enemies on screen.

Tips to beat siege engines: For rams, prematurely drop mines (alot) in front of your gate where the ram comes through. Stun it to delay as long as possible. For the catapults, if there's only one, just use the arrow skill to kill it. If there's two, you can kill one with arrows, but the other should be taken out with mines, fireballs, and stunning. Catapults are more fragile than rams though, so it should be okay.
In general: If no more siege engines are coming, set mines right next to your gate, enemies will naturally move towards the center of the gate and blow themselves up. Teleporting is useful when dealing with catapults. Brilliance is great if you need a little time to deal with a catapult in a later level. Pause to use spells.

One thing I do thoroughly enjoy about this game is how it makes you out to be what you are: the ultimate badass. You're a one man army, taking down hundreds of soldiers at a time, breaking war machines with nothing but your sword. You SHOULD be regarded with awe, but a lot of games have NPCs behave as though you're nothing but another cog in the machine, or worse, a disreputable underling.

In general, I like this -- but the inability to target multiple opponents outside of skills and the tendency for attacks to abruptly become ineffective against targets bashing at the gate makes it increasingly difficult in a way which feels unfair. I noticed after awhile that I was simply unable to keep up with the mobs since I would expend every skill I had and barely make a dent in them (they'd stun, but not die). The worst was when the catapults showed up, since they hung so far back that I had to leave huge mobs at the gates to go attack them. Teleporting barely made it tolerable.

at the ram point i just couldnt beat the levels anymore. good game but i wish there was some way to grind recources or something.

Nice game, but a little frustrating and repetitive with enemies going straight for the gate instead of you, having to click each individual target you want to swing a sword at because none of them go for you, and going through only getting 1 new ability each night with no one to upgrade them to your own preferences.

I ran into a very unpleasant bug with a red warrior wielding two swords who just wouldn't die. It took THREE lightning bolts to kill him and none of my other attacks would hit. He single-handedly almost destroyed the wall.

ehh....dont like the click to move controls. make an option to change it and ill be fine until then, 2/5. yes, i hate it that much. bugs the crap out of me.

The main game should include ability to purchase allies to fight along side of you. Great game even though my CPU could barely handle it. I gave it the deserved 5/5 which is surprising because I don't give it out much especially for a "demo, sneak peek" of the actual game.

The story in this game is fantastic. I have as much enjoyment off the field as I do in it. If I could fight along side some actual soldiers the fighting would be more strategic instead of ruthless hacking.

lol 1gig ram was outdated in 2007 and it isn't really a sign for the performance of your pc...you could say "My hexacore CPU can't handle a flash game. I am confounded"

Simply fantastic work. I want Ortus NOW!!! Excellent music score, game-play, storyline, graphics... well everything. I just want more now. Oh, and do you host a site where I could score some ferrus leaf? I could really use some especially after a night with Elvina.
