I didn't play much but here are a few suggestions anyway. characters animation should be way more polished, i have the feeling i'm controlling a cube; this is particulary true when the character is jumping. Add a scrolling foreground as the grass seems weird as it is. I didn't encounter any issue with collision detection, but it seemed to me it lacked something - this is perhaps due to the animation factor, not sure.
