Im amazed by this game, its such an entertaining puzzler. Extremely original and fun, and I love the way each level is connected to the next one, Mr.Jinx really pulled of a great game now, I cant wait to play ep.2!

I found the craziest glitch on "taking things in pieces"... I let the boulder come down and it disappears right before it hits the troll and proclaims "The arrow trap killed the creature" as a phantom arrow pierces the troll's heart out of nowhere O.o

I really like this game. You establish rules on how it works and I have to think and plan using those rules to win. It's too long for one sitting but I did enjoy it!

Ashchaya, they said it in the game description. "Navigate through 30 increasingly difficult levels (and 3 bonus levels)." Would it kill you to read it ?...

I'm glad I finished this wonderful game (and the badges) long ago. With my current browser/flash setup it's sadly full of glitches.

In the dragon level, when the boulder rolls to the left through the hallway just above the red monster, just as the boulder is about to enter the square above the monster both boulder and monster disappear with a "the arrow trap killed the creature" message. Handy, but probably not intended.

I completely stumped myself on one of the levels so I checked your walkthrough. Even a glance at future levels and I knew I'd never be able to figure it out AND get the gems on my own. But just watching each level unfold was amazing. I loved being able to see how it works when done just perfectly, and it completely boggled my mind how somebody could create such complex puzzles. Just the sheer amount of thought that must have gone into this is really something to marvel at, and your walkthrough helps us notsogood at this see the magic.
I really like the way you put in the instructions. I love the fact that you only put in certain bits of information when it was needed, and not all at the beginning. I think if you had, the way people would go about trying to solve the puzzles would be skewed and it'd be harder to start out.
In all, I like that you made this game flow so well and that you took the player's perspective in mind when making it. Very nice! I definitely give it 5 stars! :)

crazy how the dev responds to people nearly 10 years after the game came out. also how there are hard badges that the dev gave a guide for lol. easy 65 points if puzzle games arent your thing.

Questy is oblivious to the danger he's in, but he still manages to kill the monsters with ease, and what kind of monster doesn't put up a fight when it's about to die.

You asked for what I thought of your game so here it is.. I thought your game was easily one of my favorite puzzle games ever. Good job!

wow, this is the best badge of the day ever. 10 points, 5 power up points, AND part of the pixel pack. thank you kongregate...

The key to beat the game is to find out where you must place a door or goldbag first. For example, in bonus stage 1 you must place a goldbag beside the gem to lure yourself to get the gem, and you must place a door beside the goldbag otherwise you cannot leave. If you can find those key places the game will be more easier.

Great game. Enjoyed the originality of it and liked the music even, thought it was fitting. Thing i liked most tho was the amount of time obviously spent to design these levels. Cant imagine Designing this on graph paper. Two E-thumbs up To MrJinx

Funny, when I first played this about a year and a half ago, I ended up permanently stuck on, I think, the 4th purple room, before slowly forgetting about the whole thing. Coming back to it now, after the BotD mention, it took me only some hours, on-and-off, to get to slay the dragon. And not even the rooms I'd never seen before seemed all that hard.. Who knows what's been knocked loose in the ol' noggin in the meantime, or if my subconscious has actually been striving to figure out a strategy all along.. :D Either way, finally completing this - with all gems to boot - made me feel a lot smarter than I probably am.. :P Also, I found that the level title most of the time being a clue to the solution was a really nice touch. :) Onto the sequel I go, I suppose...

so now I know, if i ever find myself in a dungeon, just walk in as straight a line as possible, following any arrows on the floor as a magical entity will constantly be guiding me, no matter how large the dungeon

I remember I loved this game and I could have sworn that I got all the gems and the hard badge, but I think I was playing it on a client's computer. If I remembered who it was, how unprofessional would it be to call up and ask them to email me a .sol? Oh well, definitely a good enough game to play through again!

A tip for easy access to bonus rooms: beat the level once without worry about the bonus room, then beat it again without worry about the special gem. You usually get one extra loot doing this.

Thank you *MrJinx* for an absolute gem of a game! The ending animation was spot on too (with these very limited graphics)!
You really need to play this game. It's very rewarding when you finally finish it. Just don't give up! You may have to stop for a while and continue the next day. Things may seem clearer then. You can do it!
I got 23 of the 25 diamonds the first time I completed the game. Then I redid the last level and got 24. I had to get them all... then I finally found out how to get the last one!
I used way too many resets the first time. Then I started a new game and used only one too many and didn't get the *thinking things through* star. I had to play again... and it was zero resets this time! I've finally learned something. :-) Yeah, this game was absolutely worth it!

I really want to know how stupid you have to be to walk blindly into a bottomless pit. I mean, really? Does this poor fool have no survival instinct?

If they removed badges from games with available walkthroughs (whether official or unofficial), this site would have like 4 games with badges.

i like puzzle games where solutions are not dependent on split second timing, pixel perfect placement or random luck because of a screwed physics engine. i have the time to think things through, place the items and see the action unroll. i also like the plain graphic, it keeps the focus on the puzzles. i only have two nags: one are the stones. the path of the stone is deterministic, but it is very hard to time the path of the stone against the path of questy. some levels require questy to cross the path of the stone and evade it at the nick of time. i find that impossible to "think through". the other problem are the rules how questy decides which path to take in presence of loot bags. the rules are deterministic, but quite complex. some rules are explained in the game, but there are many corner cases which are not explained. the only way to find out how questy will behave in such cases is by trial and error. i find it a bit ironic that the game rewards "thinking things through".

Questy:"I'll put loot bags in my way to make myself follow them, and I'll put one-way gates in my way to block myself so I can find some treasure!" Seems legit.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
So the last people who entered the dungeon drew some arrows, and obviously died horrible deaths. And Questy says, "Screw this, let's follow the arrows!"
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
There are still many bugs in this game. I think one of them is the speed of Questy... when you change the speed of the game in the middle of the game something happens and the speed is messed up and the last level cannot be completed... I played the game twice the first time it had the problem the second time it didnt so i think right now the problems can be resolved by refreshing the game.

Hint for you if the thief is stealing the gem on the second to last room: Go back to the room where you first met the thief...
