So I found a little bit of a bug. If you beat a room with above the gold standard you get silver. In blocks and bad stuff I finished with 3 bags of gold and 2 traps. I had to dump an extra bag of gold to get the gold star.

Love it already. All the changes from the first game are excellent - more interesting enemies, added puzzle elements, the story, the scoring system, and most of all, the fact that it saves your solutions. Wonderful. But I've already earned an Uber-gold medal - I managed to have an extra one-way door on "Up the Mountain We Go"! :)
Yeah, we call those Platinum solutions. I love to see them, so if you solve any better than Gold, message me screenshots. I'll probably add in some achievements for it eventually. The iPad version actually has that built in already.

hemm... i just arrived to krola's level, and there is no purple weapon to defeat her, just a blue one for the bat. Am I missing something?

This is a really great game. The game play, the story, the graphics, the learning curve, increase in difficulty, and cut-scenes. Well done. Can't wait for a sequel. 5/5

First 5/5. My only complaint would be that to get a gold you HAVE to match the items left. On one level I actually finished with gems and keys but had 3 loot bags left instead of two and only got a silver. That minor thing aside just a nice puzzle game that really does make you think instead of another mindless treadmill of "unlock all these levels"

As soon as I saw Talesworth, I knew I had to play it. Absolutely loved Death Watch, so this game must automatically be good!

now that i have played the game i can say im completely satisfied with the additions. I love that when you replay a room all of your previously placed objects stay on the field. The addition of stars for not using too many objects is great its driving me insane but its great, and lastly the new enemies you lure with meat adds some good challenge to the game great job MRJINX

haven't even loaded up the game yet but im giving it a 5/5 just because the first game was so awesome i know you wont disappoint in this one thank you so much for the sequel MRJINX

great game developer i hope you make more games like these because i like how you use tactic and strategy to try and grab loot and pass traps quickly but i still think you should add a cave full of loot and DRAGONS!!!!

Although your a hobbyist flash game developer ( Like me, except tons better) in my opinion, your games are the best out there. Great work bro 5/5.

this game is a big rip off of some other game i remember it had the same exact gameplay, and the guys name was questy to but this game is better then the other. i dont remember the name oof it though
Correct, Talesworth Adventure, Episode 1 : Quest for the Dragon's Hoard, I wrote that too :) Look at my profile for the link. This is theoretically "episode 2", although you don't need to play the first one to play this one.

I love the seamless transition from level to level - it makes you feel like you're actually journeying, instead of just solving Puzzle #1, Puzzle #2, and so forth. Love the varying difficulty, too. Thanks for another great game!
Thanks, the seamless transition concept was one of my first design decisions, it's great hearing that people are digging it. It sounds like you've played my earlier stuff, I just added a mailing list at talesworth.com, hop on to get updates about my next game :D

First time I've ever seen a game on the front page under "Hot New Games" when the rating is still "under judgement" and hidden.

Relaxing music, great little puzzles, nice easy on the eye colours and maps are well thought out.
Although it wouldnt by my first choice when it comes to games, good job m8.

9 days later I still havent beaten "we're missing a cleric" I just cant see it, I'm sure its probably quite obvious but I cant get it, anyone willing to whisper me the solution?

great game! really liked the concept of this, kind of a puzzle adventure thing. i played something like this before, but this was better quality and the puzzles were more challenging. the music made me really zen. haha really enjoyed it. great job!

Yeah, I finally figured it out when I was placing stuff at random and noticed this. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense for meat to block the movement of obstacles though...especially when Questy and the monsters can walk right over it. =/
Also, yes, the Alchemy Lab is quite difficult. Very few levels managed to make me think as much as that one did.

Really enjoying the game so far. Graphically a cut above the previous installment. The puzzles are well thought out and offer just the right amount of difficulty to make it fun but not so tough that it becomes infuriating. As previously the bronze/silver/gold system offers something for everyone. Bronze challenge provides a fun experience for those either new to puzzle games or those who struggle with them. Whilst the silver and particularly the gold challenges offer a markably more challenging experience for the dedicated puzzle solver/achievement seeker. All in all a great game. I will confess to being stumped on "We're missing a cleric" though ^^ 5/5

Bob10110, I have a solution for the bonus in the caves. Anyone else, stop reading this if you want to figure it out for yourselves. Bob, you want gates next to all three pits. You also want gates at "south" and "northeast" in the loop (if you imagine it as a compass), and a gate to the immediate right of the pressure plate. Place money bags to the right of the blue flail; to the left of the yellow switch; and up and left of the yellow door (in the gap). Place meat above the pressure plate and at the bottom of the gem corridor.
As for me, I'm currently stuck on the level Alchemy Lab, so I'd appreciate it if anyone has any hints.
I think the Alchemy Lab is the hardest level. Once you solve that one, I think you're home free for the most part. Part of this beta test is to gauge difficulty. I'd love to hear everyone's feedback in that department.

I'm enjoying the game quite thoroughly at the moment; currently stuck on the bonus room in the Caves though, since I'm a perfectionist and try to get every gold star but can't see any way to do it without going one gate over my limit. Anybody else have a gold star on that level yet?

I'm still hoping for another Death Watch-type game. That would just make my day. But I do enjoy this one as well. The improvements over the last version are nice. Very good job, MrJinx,
I'm hoping for one too, honestly. I'm envisioning a much more realized adventure surrounding that combat system. I'd love to play it, and it's on the list.

Maybe I just don't see it, but the first bonus room (secret grove) is impossible to pass. The arrow trap can only be activated when you run to the arrow, and you need to get to the switch.

Perhaps already mentioned, but it'd be sweet if the Scoring button both opened AND closed the "How to be a Hero" panel. Saves me a mouse-stroke. Great game, btw, new & interesting. I'd 5 star it already if I could :)

Very nice work the art in this one is just superb and I loved the first Talesworth Adventure so I love this one as well nicely done!

... Question? Is that music the same soundbyte as in Picma? I liked the tune, I just am unsure... Eh, well... You know.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
not bad, i like the puzzle and i think there is a glitch, the way it seems is in game you can't place anymore items down however if you click on a door a window pops up and once you click out of the window you can put some more items down. :P
anyways, like the game :)

At first I thought "ok, seen this before, not that great," but the improvements go a fair bit beyond graphics. The puzzles feel better thought out, a little more complex, but still within a reasonable amount of difficulty that doesn't leave me feeling cheated on either end. Well done!
