The addition of Gold medals for using less items is nice. Effectively it makes every level easier by giving you more tools than you need, but if you crave the additional challenge you go for the gold medal.
I'm going for a first run through of golding what I can but not stressing and going for silvers if need be. After I finish I'll go back and gold the ones I couldn't.
Fun game.
Been waiting for it for a year.

Does the hero have x-ray vision? Because there is clearly an enemy between him and the loot bag, and yet he can still see it!

i solved the block blocking bad stuff level with 3 gold bags left instead of 2 and only got a silver star, what gives?

Has anyone done the Wyvern (The Mountain Horror) level with a Gold Star?
Whatever I try I cant find a way to do it without using 2 Meats (you're supposed to use only 1 for gold), while I have no problems with the number of bags/gates.

solved the mountain bonus level with 3 gold and 2 oneways left. just wanted to tell that you need less than required for gold

This is the kind of game that REQUIRES WALKTHROUGH! If you didn't make this without any thought present proof! I am completely stuck on Yield to Shield and The Mad Dash. What is wrong with this Kingdom that the only hope is complete dumbass!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
weirdjudge there IS a way to check it, click the score thing and it shows you what to do for silver (allways exit with gem) and gold (what to keep and if you need to force acces to secret room)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Why can't you carry a sword and a shield at the same time!? *Looks at the intro page again* Oh, I see. Very well then.

I have a bit of a complaint about the gold. For one, I did not read the requirements (I thought that there needs to be a minimal amount of obstacles used). In this regard, I found 3 levels where I used far less obstacles, mainly cave levels. The spider layer is one that needs to be a bit harder, as the requirement is 2 bags and 2 one-ways, I completed it with 3 each.

Just a tip: When you've done all the lvls, start from the beginning and keep pressing play and watch your adventurer defeat this whole Kingdom. Very entertaining, like a short movie.

@HattrickNL You never knew, the devs might just have accidentally missed a trick. The levels are quite complex, and thus it's easy to miss a better solution. Rest assured, most of the lvls are bare minimum.

I was excited by the menu art and the story but was disappointed a bit with the actual game play, Still its not bad just not great.

First of all I like this puzzle genre and I love this game with the new concepts. Now I played like half the game and still think there are some little improvements to be done. First only give the 3 gold stars if it is really use the minimum amount needed. For example first mountain lvl could be done with 3 gold bags and 3 one ways. Second how to turn of the jingle now taking over my mind :S

Ever since I played the first game, I've been highly anticipating this sequel. And I must say that it's well worth the wait. The game sticks to the original concept, and yet it adds new elements that fit in well and makes the puzzles that much more interesting. The storylines and bosses also adds a nice touch to an already great game. I felt this was that this was what the first game appealed to me, with the whole background narrative that works in conjunction with the puzzle, and this game just stepped it up alot. As for the rest, well, it's all just good old talesworth all over again. 5/5.

Love the game...
Only a small downside...amount is as important as kind...
When in the forest map, line of sight, I got silver, because I used a one way gate, instead of another gold bag...And got Silver, instead of gold, please make some kind of way to check what you can use for gold...

Great sequel, but the fact that you can get a gold star with subpar conditions makes me think this game wasn't tested enough even if it was on development for quite a lot of time. 4/5 anyway.

@acote - I recognized the music right away. It's the same music used in Picma Squared, another great puzzle game here on Kongregate =]
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The music you hear while you're in the rooms solving the puzzles: I've heard it before. I assume it's either free to use music, or re-used by the same composer; not claiming plagiarism. I'm just driving myself crazy trying to place where I've heard the music before.

Lovely game... 5/5. We need more games like this.. Add some harder puzzles please :). Also a retry button would be nice, didn't much like it when Questy moved into the next map with a silver star. However, the fact that our placements are saved makes up for it. :)
I am considering secretly adding back in a couple hard maps I removed as hidden easter eggs... Some beta testers will remember the room "Evil in the Form of Arrows". It was truly evil...

hmmm who else red the description and watched the loading bar then thought as the kongregare ad came up OMG hes gunna jump into kongregate to play some amazing games

Whew. Tougher than the first one, certainly. I bashed my head against Alchemy Lab in particular for about an hour, but finally got all gold. Both of these games are in my top 5 Kongregate puzzle games. Make more, please! :-)

An the bad guy thinks:"Man, am I lucky? There's a bag of gold. Wait a Minute. There's some fresh meat." He must be starving. Guys, treat your bad guys better. They're humans after all.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
there are some great bits to this game, the graphics are good, the transitions between levels is spectacular, but the gameplay doesn't interest me, and it get's boring quite fast. I'll give it a 3/5.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
*sigh* few feelings can match the sheer achievement you feel when you are stuck on a level but finally find a solution that requires even less parts than the gold standard. i am content. :)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
ive gottem gold all the way up to the mounitain horror but i cant figure out the timing and since you only have 1 meat the whelp can only go 2 directions not worth my time
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Denovan
that's not true. You didn't get a gold because you didn't place a bag on the "Bonus Room", not because the bags left don't match what's required.
There are levels where you can get gold stars with more than 2 bags left (when only 2 is required for gold)

Excellent. Thank you for this. Normally, I don't like puzzle games too much unless it is very well made, but I enjoyed this greatly. Music was calming, but also a bit of an adventurer's tune. 5/5, fav'd.

What ever happened to Talesworth Arena games. I love all of the talesworth games although castles had it's flaws. I would love a sequel to the originals though.
Yeah, mentioned this on an earlier comment, but I still think about making an Arena sequel. Castles was not well received, lol. I loved the old game Rampart, and wanted to code it multiplayer, but yeah, it didn't do so hot... haha
