The game is nice and all that, but the whole daze mechanic is pretty silly and even more so that you have to itemize for it to be able to do anything past a certain point when you can`t afford to lose even half a second ...

I like the concept of the game, BUT, the wall of atoms interrupt is NOT instant cast as promised against The Great Psonic ( second boss ) so even though i have no problem interrupting slow casts in the arena, against this boss it does not fire at all, against his heal.

lp42: You just have to alter your strategy a bit with the psionic. Save the psionic blast for when they're trying to heal, the cast time is pretty low so even if you can't predict the exact time you should be able to catch them.

Well, restarted on "Easy" -- won't be able to get the hard badges, I guess. No reason to play beyond Level 6 now ....

Also, penalizing players for gold when they can't beat a boss AND reducing the amount of gold they can get in the arena is just plain mean.

Having problems figuring out how to beat Rufus (Level 4 boss, right?) as an Engineer. I just can't seem to find the right combination. It seems to me -- probably as a lame player -- that the difficulty curve is a little much here. The limits on gold mining and ability gaining mean that you basically have to fight the boss at a preset player level .... aargh.

Don't play normal tactical mode as a juggernaut. The third level boss can cancel out all poison over and over again, along with almost instant stuns. This makes the slower damage over time killing of the juggernaut class basically useless. It's doable, if you grind arena tons, then get the best gear, learn all his moves, and still get lucky to resist stuns. I got to plus 14% stun resist at level three with my gear and he still stunned me every time before wiping out all poison.

am i the only one who got a bug with the engineer's fist on spring? the casting bar fade away but the icon "casting fist on spring" don't leave (until i cast my flamethrower)?

The emphasis on interrupting my enemies' major abilities/spells (or else dying) ruined the flow of combat. The skills are trash until much too far into the game, which makes it too long of a wait for such little return. Either you time it right or you lose; personally, that game style is uninviting.

if you dont have enough money to buy all runes, do not buy any. you can retake the quest from tavern when you have enough money.

small tip if your enemy has a darkness or so spell which hides skill names just remember them at the start of the match

@Balbanes The second hard badge never specifies difficulty needed to acquire it. I did them all on normal but maybe you can get them on easy which would make it being another hard badge make a bit more sense.

A way to quick select skills would be nice. Like you can use the number pad to pick your skills instead of having to rub your track pad like a monster.

Beating the Boop Beep bastard as a Psionic:
1. Use psi blast, 2. use DoT, 3. Use Brain Freeze( yes allow yourself to get hit by the stun, if it goes right the Boop Beep bastard's next move will be slowed), 4. Use weapon until you must use Atom Shield to block the attack move, 5. Use Forget Ion Cannon, 6. Keep in mind that the next time, the opponent uses his stun he will most likely heal. So you MUST save your atom shield to block the second stun. 7. From here on out, your strategy is to inflict damage while blocking damage with mana shield/forget Ion Cannon/Atom Shield. DO NOT use your Psi Blast for this purpose (aside from the first turn); you should save it to use when the opponent uses his healing move. 8. Try to save time by queueing up your moves. I actually prefer using the weapon over the DoT, because the DoT takes longer to cast, and I think the enemy's shield has a cumulative negative effect on your DoT. Good Luck!

Just finished Engineer run. Here's some tips and stuff:
1. You can run away from the rune merchant and come back if you don't have enough money to buy all 3 runes for both occasions.
2. Try to save enough money/artifacts so that you have enough to buy a skill when you gain a level, remember that you get some gold for beating the boss as well. You can use artifacts you don't need as stable currency once you sell them.
3. Use all of your skills. Understanding your skills is key to winning battles.
4. Decide which enemy skills you should definitely interrupt/stun.
5. Conversely, it is a good idea to keep track of what stuns/interrupts your opponent has.
6. If you have trouble beating an enemy, take it step-by-step to figure out how you can improve your strategy. Stuns aren't always the best opening move.
