I think it works because you keep hitting the swordsman so they have less time to hit you back. You need to keep overkill mode for at least 40 seconds lol.

Wow finally beat the 2 skull swords master by getting a dedicated melee team and keeping overkill mode for over 40 seconds straight.

i love patapon! oh wait, this game isnt patapon? ;D 3/5. because i cant keep up with the beat... theres no beats to go along with the COM's(?) turn, if you guys know what im saying... it sounds like static to me :(

It is annoying that most units past standard, and tier 1 are not upgradable.
Upgrading is HALF THE FUN in this kind of game :-P. What will I do with my 20 gems now that I have reached tier 3?

Loved this game! Partly because I don't have a psp and really wanted to play patapon xD. (makes no sense why its not a ps3 downloadable). Thx nerdook!

In my personal opinion, I just couldn't really get into it. Other Nerdook games are gold, but I feel like this misses.

All your games are good and have humoris parts. also i have to say i love your art style and graphics! this game i would have to say was a little more difficult.

To the people that believe this to be a Patapon clone: Congrats, you're right. However, while trying to play this game, I look desperately at the useless beat counter. I died to here high-pitched voices instead of some super annoying instrument. All in all, this game s the same as Patapon, just a lower quality expertness. And to the developers: well nice, your Flash skills pummel mine!

Ah, a nice game to keep me occupied until Patapon 3 comes out... i believe that there should be more types of games with this new concept. oh, i also recommend patapon to anyone who hasn't played it yet. After a while, it becomes quite addictive.

Best papapon replica i've seen, i've been looking for one all this time :D Only thin i don't like is how the bonga is slightly delayed and that kind of screws me up. 5/5 :D

I was expecting Princess Carrot to be an actual carrot. but then while i was posting this comment it reminded me of Adventure time. Hmmm.

I realize that you can't always get "clones" spot-on. I have played Patapon and i think that it has a better beat. The only reason I rate it a 3/5 is that the beat was pre determined, the echoe wasn't as fast as the beat, and the flashing border didn't help me. Besides those things, you did a great job on this game.

FOR THE EMPEROR! Yeh i agree especially with grey knights bit....The Odamalius!...I find nerdook does get some influences from other games...and is a rather funny parady/ satire of many gaming concepts or cliches... I really like his cartoony graphics tho...Its of good quality and yet doesnt lag at all

Nerdook has made some amazing games and i've never played one of his games that I didn't like. I'll admit I get tired of some of the tower and defender game repeats, but most of the time building upon what someone else did is how we get improvement.
Daleth makes an amazing point, but FPS dates all the way back to the 1970's with the atari and a game called maze war or something. There were a couple games between this game and wolfenstein (the earliest FPS I ever played), and then Doom was made the next year which revolutionized FPS even further. The cycle continues to half-life, then golden eye 007 (used to love this), then Halo and Call of duty. Somewhere along the way there was duke nukem, but my point is through copying other games we've gone from a simple atari game to amazing graphics in the halo series and modern warfare games. The improvements on this site won't be as significant as these, but the games will get better through the same concept.
