As much as I did not enjoy the fact that the fireballs would autofire instead of selectively firing like in the first game and the numerous enemies which would stack way too quickly in difficulty and bonuses, the overall balance of the game is decent enough to give it a 4 out of 5 stars from me. Good job, nerdook; another great game to add to your extensive library.

fox archers are the most powerful unit, and possibly op for that reason. It could either be because they're the only unit that stands still at the edge of the stage, or because they can teleport to the top of the pillar. While playing as sun king I saw one archer teleport to the top, build and teleport to the top again, 3 times in a row. Pretty lucky, since more foxes can just teleport right up and shoot arrows, at any moment.

Not nearly as enjoyable to play as the first. Gameplay is too slow, the lack of choosing the type of power is a disappointment. Although you can gain different abilities by getting scarabs, the first game was more strategic in which you could choose your powers, and the player could have more control. Overall, a good enough game, but the first game in this series was so much better. This feels like a "dumbed down" version of the first game.

It's incredibly frustrating to actively try to miss the incredibly squishy big bad so you can kill enough minions to get the required number of coins. Surely there's a way you could do this that would prevent that. Timed levels, perhaps?

was a relatively mindless game after a point - upon figuring out to use the special power always once it has recharged and minimizing reload time of scarab and special this game becomes easy- upgrade combo multiplier to get many coins in a run

The hardest part about getting a gold scarab is dragging the level out long enough to hit the coin amount. Maybe if you got bonus gold from the amount of remaining life you have at the end.

I definitely loved the first one better. Much more fun. I actually fell asleep while playing this one, and STILL cleared the level!

For those having trouble getting the 5 scarabs needed for the last level because they are killing everything so fast-Try to get the Viking hat.
It makes it so the temples take longer to build, and you get bonuses for chaining kills. Keep your cursor to the side of the level, and try to use your laser beam to kill minions when they are lined up.
I struggled on getting my last golden scarab badge for a while and barely scrapped by on my first try as soon as I switched hats.

I can't help but say that... The Cat God is sorta cute, in all aspects. You have perfected the art of creating some pretty unique games with good character designs, and it shows! 5/5

It was bad enough that I had to play the first one to get a badge of the day, but now I have to play the second one too!? Come on! This game sucks!

Would be so much better if scarabs were a currency in the level to be spent on skills rather than them being random. Activate them using 1-9 and have them be aimable. No more 2 meteors going off on the far left side of the map for no reason.

If this hadn't have had the Badge of the Day I wouldn't have played it for longer than two minutes. The lack of control is abominably frustrating. I hate losing through no fault of my own, only because certain timers wouldn't match up. Let me decide when to shoot a fireball at the very least.

Well, nice game, deserves a solid four/5 I think. I was rather confused about anchs. I think, for this price and uselessness they could be permanent, as other upgrades. Anyway, dont buy them until you upgraded everything else to the max (I completed the game with half of upgraded just on lvl 2) And also dont waste money on sun emperor: this wont help you complete the game, 1 lvl all will be enough.

here's the the way to get cash for upgrades/ankhs for last lvl go to lvl where you are sun king. while without the collecting scarabs gained 1800-1980 per timeout but with it decreased to 1600-1800 per round.

*Accessibility:* To any disabled players, although the majority of this game is done purely with the mouse, you will need to get through level 7 using keyboard controls (left & right arrows, + numbers 1 to 4) - you can still get the Easy and the 1st Medium badge, without getting this far. '2-player mode' is also split between keyboard and mouse (per character).
(Note: Am trying to include accessibility notes on games played, to both encourage the Dev's to change problems where needed, and to help anyone with Mobility/Eyesight issues etc. I hope this does help some of you!)

fun game 4/5. To get upgrades easily keep playing "the sun emperor" (level 7) move as far as you can to the right and do something else, you can get at least 700 gold each time (and even beat the level this way lol).
