@calash well I'm with you. Automatic fireballs are hard to control, and it was kinda confusing. The game's ok but the first one was better

As much as I did not enjoy the fact that the fireballs would autofire instead of selectively firing like in the first game and the numerous enemies which would stack way too quickly in difficulty and bonuses, the overall balance of the game is decent enough to give it a 4 out of 5 stars from me. Good job, nerdook; another great game to add to your extensive library.

fox archers are the most powerful unit, and possibly op for that reason. It could either be because they're the only unit that stands still at the edge of the stage, or because they can teleport to the top of the pillar. While playing as sun king I saw one archer teleport to the top, build and teleport to the top again, 3 times in a row. Pretty lucky, since more foxes can just teleport right up and shoot arrows, at any moment.

Not nearly as enjoyable to play as the first. Gameplay is too slow, the lack of choosing the type of power is a disappointment. Although you can gain different abilities by getting scarabs, the first game was more strategic in which you could choose your powers, and the player could have more control. Overall, a good enough game, but the first game in this series was so much better. This feels like a "dumbed down" version of the first game.

It's incredibly frustrating to actively try to miss the incredibly squishy big bad so you can kill enough minions to get the required number of coins. Surely there's a way you could do this that would prevent that. Timed levels, perhaps?

was a relatively mindless game after a point - upon figuring out to use the special power always once it has recharged and minimizing reload time of scarab and special this game becomes easy- upgrade combo multiplier to get many coins in a run

The hardest part about getting a gold scarab is dragging the level out long enough to hit the coin amount. Maybe if you got bonus gold from the amount of remaining life you have at the end.

I definitely loved the first one better. Much more fun. I actually fell asleep while playing this one, and STILL cleared the level!
