Overall good game, I like the randomness to the scarabs. I thought the golden scarabs really drew back on the game though, it would be more sensible if the upgrades didn't act as a downfall towards them. 4*. (Also, can't seem to get the last badge to register, something I'm not doing right?)

Cat God vs Sun King 2 AND Epic Battle Fantasy 4 being in New Hot Games in the same time. God cats ruling over the internet.

once u did no "collect" gold scarabs right from the beginning it is almost impossible to get them later cuz u are to overpowered and games ends too fast ....

It's incredibly frustrating to actively try to miss the incredibly squishy big bad so you can kill enough minions to get the required number of coins. Surely there's a way you could do this that would prevent that. Timed levels, perhaps?

If this hadn't have had the Badge of the Day I wouldn't have played it for longer than two minutes. The lack of control is abominably frustrating. I hate losing through no fault of my own, only because certain timers wouldn't match up. Let me decide when to shoot a fireball at the very least.

If there's a third, I hope that you bring back the system from the first with some added skills. This one wasn't bad, but it was alot harder to hit people with the slower fireballs and random skills.

I can't unlock the final level until I get 5 golden scarabs. It gets more difficult to do that the more I level up.
Thanks for punishing the player for doing well.

I just have some words to say: The music beat was awesome which made a perfect fusion with the game :). I really enjoyed it.

Ok there is a seriously messed up glitch where sometimes enemies will ascend when their current floor isn't complete. I think it's caused by the upgraded meteor.

A fun game however a step down from the first one in gameplay. However not meant to discourage, trying new things is great and it was a fun game. I look forward to what you come up with in the future. 3/5

Before you play, try to collect 5 scarbs (The things on the level select that says you need to do ___ to get a scarb) so that at the end you don't have to, because some are hard to get because you finish so fast.

Yeah, the "golden scarab" system is kind of goofy. When replaying earlier levels you have to try really hard not to kill the sun king just so you can keep getting coins. Gave it a 4/5 because it still has the fun and hectic action of a nerdook game, but the golden scarab system needs revision

so much of this is luck, shape of the tower being the big one, if you have a narrow floor low down the level is a LOT easier, especially if you can get meteors to hit those panels. weirdly when you get well upgraded and meteors come reasonably often, a tower with few blocks to be built is easier since there's less for the meteor to destroy on each level.

EphY's comment should be much higher. The gold scarab scores are absurdly high and take away from the objective of the round. Yet another unpolished game with untapped potential by Nerdook.

Play as the sun god level is a really poor design choice. Having a game that makes you level grind is one thing, but to have to grind just to pass that one oddball level is really frustrating.

Cool game ! I like the concept, the art is pretty nice and the gameplay is fluid and addictive. But I think that the main point is that you still play as a cat, which is also a god. And thanks for the CatGod avatar :)

ok...why is it that when I am playing as the sun king the god cat gets firwall power-up continuously? I don''t get it so fast!

I'd really like to now what are the determining factors in getting a hat, Is it high scores or golden scarab amounts? Can you go back to any level and get them or once you finish does only the survival level work? Or is it just completely random?

Am I missing something? The projectiles are too slow and fall too infrequently to make headway against the enemies. I can't intercept projectiles often enough to keep alive if there's more than one on screen at a time. Then highly dodgy, speedy enemies that take at least two hits show up in addition to multiple projectile throwers, and...

I loved the music! Usually I turn the music off for flash games, but Nerdook consistently has great music. I just felt so much more motivated with it blaring as I tried to bring down my foes. Also, after playing as the sun emperor against my fully upgraded Cat God I begin to realize what he feels as hundreds of my men die in vain.

A little bit of advice: on level 7, the Sun Emperor, mostly forget about trying to hit the Cat God with your fireballs and instead focus on always spawning more minions for yourself. I found that the most useful ones were priests, as a whole bunch of priests nullify much of the Cat God's power. If you can't make priests, make soldiers--they can take two hits, and a fireball is completely stopped on hitting their shields. If you can't make them go for flyers--again, they take two hits. Once you have enough minions out you might start to try to get some hits on the Cat God, but up to then it's all spawning your creations, and evading the Cat God's fireballs.

I can't figure out how to get 1500 coins on the triple-kill level. I win too fast. Why is it penalizing me for being a killing machine? xD

Attention Kong Admins: This game has been public for several days. As a Nerdook game, that is well past the 20-minutes-or-less mark at which point you should have added badges. Hop to.

Not fun. To much randomness, the golden scarab concept stunk. Plus not having a fire ball upgrade made the game feel like grinding. Very disappointed. I was excited....
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I am again disappointed in Nerdook. This game had a lot of potential, but... only 9 levels? Most of which are situational and upgrade-dependent? I got to the last level in a little less than an hour, only to find I have to grind for another hour to be able to beat it. But a two hour game that didn't even get a hard badge? Come on Nerdook. Even the first game was better - it had 12 levels, unique achievements, and neat upgrades. When are we going to see more gems like what you've made in the past?

Dear Cat: Stop telling me "Lousy Shot" when I hit two scarabs still. Also, stop telling me "Worst shot ever" when I'm letting them build up so I can get a combo. Thanks.
