I give all of you a challenge, to beat my elite team of Physco-Kitties.
If you lose, you have the shame of losing. If you win you have the honor of winning.

@Skullcrusher: Beat your dog team with my hardcore shooters. My AI team is a bit different from my current team (I think the only difference is my AI team has "shoot twice at random targets when ally dies" and my current team has "0.5 second delay upon hit"), but it's relatively the same.

"Impossibru! I will defeat them canines!!!" -Nerdook | Never! They haz epic healing abilities, passive and active, nothing can stop them!

Great updates already. However, currently, repick enemies button doesn't seem to work and "lower enemy HP" actually lowers my own (too?). I still feel you should be able to get through with any team of characters (or be able to change characters throughout the game), otherwise your whole save is a waste.

Not all teams can win all battles (in fact, haven't found a team yet that doesn't get slaughtered after a few battles already). There's probably a team out there that does win all of them, with a certain amount of upgrades, but it's limited. First of all, I think the game itself is quite okay, but your trademark seems to be NO reset possibility for upgrades, NO farming, and therefore a lot of ways to die off without ever being able to complete the game on that save. If I want to have three shooters on my game, I should be able to complete the game with three shooters. Currently, that's impossible, as teams with fast movers will quickly annihilate your team. I failed with three bruisers as well, as they are too slow. I even failed with a kid, a bruiser, and a shooter, but that may due to upgrades. It seems too limited right now to win.
Added skill repicks, and you can now pick how to handicap the enemy when you lose a game. Also, a varied team will always have a fighting chance, while 3 of the same class will be a little too overspecialised. Still possible, though! Look at the uploaded families... :D

sometimes i'm not seeing the attscks or abilities the enemy is using long enough to properly assess what they actually did. for instance, they just obliterated my shooter, but i had no idea what he did
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
yeah, i'm not feeling it. i'm experiencing the same thing as furrymessiah. each family i run into obliterates my family. and it appears i get nothing for failing. plus i fire-startered, but it got my own cat. :/

NEEDS
A RESET
UPGRADES
BUTTON
I cannot stress this enough. A "Reset Upgrades" button will help to fix the balance issues, and make it easier to try different play styles.

How about a limited supply of first aid stuff, like a little sandwich
or a an apple or something? Killed the owner, but the 2 cats just kicked
my ass...Heh. Embarrassing. Sure, there are guns but characters
need a little more staying power. Love this game.:)

Liked the game quite a lot, as others advised though... being able to view stats and see through trees (like who is standing there/what weapons) and tell what your party build outs could entail before choosing them would all be dandy. As would the ability to spend money. And also also, and endgame of "churn and burn NPCs to unlock all the abilities because you're that cool" would be simply dandy. Anyways, I'll give it a 4/5 and an el oh el at the somber music!

I love how there is always a combination of characters that you run into that will completely obliterate your team, no matter what 'tactics' you use. Three games, three completely different team setups, three opposing families that I can't advance past. That is a game breaker for me and frankly, I won't be returning to this game to try again. I like your games, Nerdook, but I don't come to Kong to get frustrated because of terrible balancing issues.

Really enjoyed the game, will finish it tomorrow. Need to know how it determines who you attack when you move into a square with 2 adjecent enemies. You need to provide descriptions t the start on what each character does/has in stats/abilities. I restarted a few times to try different combos to learn what i liked. Some players wont do that or have the patience. Allow stats to show on each character when i click their portrait on the upgrade menu (max hp, min/max damage, crit chance) Good job!

It seems like there are skills that obviously replace other skills (I:you heal allies 3 pts, II:you heal allies 5 pts) If this is the case it'd be better to see a tree of what is unlockable. It stinks when you spend another one of your precious 15 pts on round II or III without wasting the point on round I when you didn't know round II existed.

Here's a bug: 2 people left on each side, the person who is next dies from fire (mine), which causes an inferno killing the person who goes after that. Now the game is stuck with the remaining two waiting for the person who died from inferno to go.

When you move in to a square with two or more enemies surrounding you, what is the deciding factor of who you'll hit? Lowest HP? Most Damage Given? It'd be nice to know that for strategy purposes?

This is my favorite Nerdook game, very fun. I've beat 15 levels with Fire guy, Kid and Cat. When I click on the metal thing on the map nothing happens though.

May I suggest saying which character does what? 'Cause when made my team, I thought the different characters were just for looks.

I was doing the last level with a three cats party and when my last cat died and came back to life, the game froze. I'm thinking the game thought the game was over during the split second my cat was dead.

The Red X button in the corner should have a title when you hover over it (END GAME). I was just trying to have a character wait a turn. Now I have to start over and still figure out how to wait a turn :(

Why am I unable to not move?!!?
It's a great game and all but every turn based game need more options than "move" and "attack"...

Nevermind, after playing Nerdook's team alone it came through... I'm not sure if it was just the other team but: just play Nerdook's team and you'll be fine.

Okay, I'm not sure if it's me but... When I win the game (face a custom team created by a different player), is the game supposed to crash? Because, everytime I face someone and win, the game overloads itself and causes plugincontainer (Firefox's active script runner) to shut itself down and terminate my game. The most infuriating thing is I can't be sure if it realizes I won or not, or that it will now accept my team. Could someone give me hand, or can tell me that it's not just me?

One thing I would like to see, and I know this would be a major build: a series of upgrades that benefit the entire family, rather than just one member. Suggestions include, but are not limited to: Bulk Shopping Membership (raise family HP by 10%), Lawn Sprinklers (reduce enemy movement by half), Smokehouse (reduce all ranged accuracy by 50%, raise family HP by 5%), Martial Arts Club (raise family melee damage by 10%), Outdoor Range Membership (raise family ranged damage by 10%), and Fruit Of The Month Club (20% chance of 1 enemy family member surrendering). Of course, you can tweak the percentages as you see fit, but I think such choices would really crank up the quality of the game.

I can't manage to beat this game; because you can't go back and beat up lower power enemies for extra levels I consistently find myself deleting my save files so I can try again... and again... and again. I don't know if I just suck at this or what?

Enjoy the game, everyone! My first attempt at "proper" turn based strategy. As a bonus, nicknames of Kong+ users who finish the game before release will be added to the final version... :D
If the game has a good rating, I'll consider adding new character classes, upgrades, etc. It's a lot of work to balance each new character class, and the starting 9 should be more than enough for now! If you like it, send me Kred Tips! :D
