Completed at day 23. Get paladin who deny damage and boost this skill further. Two item swith damage reduction and third for hp regen on empty tile. Mages are also good as they regen fast, thief with dodge(and heal) works too. Theough all levels just pass monsters. At dragon make one loooong circular loop. In general there should be one tile to entry dragon and several to leave. You dont want to stay your heroes at dragon tile more than they can heal in loop, so once set up properly, it matter not how much damage you do. Just tickle, run loop and heal, repeat. Use green arrows around dragon to point heroes in loop. Yes you can make sideways in loop, but than it may take ages for hero to get to dragon. Than just wait.

Nerdook please can you patch an update in so that it's impossible to accidentally start-stop a day (i.e. the stop day button doesn't activate until 1 or 2 seconds after the start of day)? Would be much appreciated.

I managed to obtain the hard badge. I started with a paladin and a rogue, but the paladin was stupid so a mage I got fourth had to do his work. I accidentally pressed stop two times, ending my days immediately. The 24th day, the dragon was knocked down to 3200 hp solely by the rogue, the next day my mage killed it with a little help from my stupid paladin.
Apparently my mage had 100 attack and over 600 hp. 5/5

Muspell's comment helped. Other tips: Use one slot for gold boost items in early game until day 18. With gold boosts in each character, you don't have to worry about gold at all on day 20 (You should reach lvl 15 by then). Use the extra gold to rebuild the paths to maximize suvivability/exp. MOST IMPORTANTLY, when you fight the dragon, make the shortest path to the dragon, yet still make it accessible to items like healing potions and exp. Use the arrows to avoid any traps and other monsters (you should have so much gold that you can use them freely). I don't recommend any healing items AT ALL, but if you use the item which heals when you walk, you could build long loops to heal while fighting the dragon. Also, items that add attack % are MUCH more useful late game than early. My final stats when facing the dragon: 3 main characters lvl 13 (1 revive, 1 crit buff, 1 attack% buff each). They killed the dragon with more than 80% health left on avg (if you count unused revives as 100%)

I don't know if this is the place to report this, but I have found a bug, If you manage to kill the dragon in Dungeon Crawl mode, it plays the ending as if it were the ordinary mode, and doesn't tell you your score.

an undo button would be nice. :| esp when you accidentally delete a square and then don't have enough gp to rebuild it :p

Sloppy game O.o Started day 26 and JUST BLOODY MADE it to the dragon. Started the day and all but two of my adventurers immediately ended up outside without fighting anything. 1/5

I have played this game so many times over the years that 20 days isn't even a feat for me anymore (granted I aim to kill my adventurers regularly as part of capitalizing on total exp gain and gold through their deaths)
