Like many of your latest games it has a high potential but its just lacking in fun. Great idea and everything but the actual game is pretty average.

Maybe have a link to an assorted music pack or something because i don't have any mp3s. also it would help to have a clearer hitbox for the guy.

The idea is great, but the collision detection leaves something to be desired, especially when you try to grab the cash drops.

A song by Juliet Lee helped me get the last achievement.
Not a bad concept. If you could try and expand the gameplay a bit, this could be a popular game.

its really frustrating not knowing where your guy begins and ends, thus getting hit by things you thought you were going to dodge and dodging things you thought would hit you. also, for the shield, it would be nice to have a timer so that you can see how much longer you have to run into things.

Oh. Now I realize what I did wrong. I was playing a 40 minute song. Probably not the smartest of ideas. Octavarium by Dream Theater.

I tried a few of my own songs and all I can say is the game is downright impossible but when I tried the normal way it was pretty easy solid graphics and a good shmup.

Playing on Firefox, absolutely no enemies showed up. Playing on Chrome, the game worked fine.
Not sure what the problem was, but if you're not seeing any enemies, try another browser.

Someone really, REALLY wants to win that music game competition! I tried it with Science is Fun from the Portal 2 soundtrack. I died =(

Guys, I have found one reason for the no enemies spawning bug: it does not work in Opera. It did work in Firefox 3.6.17

When do the enemies show up because I played the no mp3 version about 5 times and shot nothing the whole time. I know I wont play it until I hear it has been fixed.

The idea of the game was great, but in my opinion it wasn't a good game.. This maybe because I only played the game for about 3 mins. So I have not explored every single aspect of the game. I think it would have been more enjoyable if you had a playlist of music to chose from. So there's more than one track to listen to while playing the game. When the playlist screen is up in the bottom right corner there should be a button that is labelled Mp3 from hard drive.. As I said before I didn't play this game long enough to see all the whole content of it. Just my suggestions/opinion.

Maybe I'm splitting hairs, but if you have to move the main body of your copter over a money token to pick it up, then why can the enemies hit your gun to cause damage? I died more often then not because errant fireballs were hitting the barrel of my gun when I was dodging them. 2/5 for poor collision.

But I don't get how the mp3s play along in the game. Is it just BGM or are the bullets supposed to animate during the song beats?

Does the song have to meet any requirements? I tried quite a number and no enemies show up. I even thought about using Justin Bieber to really give them a reason, but I (a) was afraid they would send in their mothership and (b) obviously don't have anything of that person on my harddrive.

I tried a few mp3s, and your game proves to be very good at playing them... and the animation for the gyrocopter and bullets is good... so are any enemies going to show up at some point?

Frankly, I don't get the idea behind using an mp3 file to play this game. Ok, the length of the level seems to be linked to the song duration, but if I want to listen to my own music while playing a game I just mute the game and let any media player run in the background or listen to streams on the net.
Another thing that might make sense would be if the mp3 you play actually does something, e.g. interacts with the visuals in the game.
Anyway, Jacob and his cat look cool :D

Can not get this game to work for me.. refreshed, cleared internet files and refreshed, downloaded multiple songs from different sources and it just refuses to spawn anything :(

Well i think the idea to let us import our own music is something original that ive been waiting for a long time, but id also like to see maybe weapon shop where i could buy new weapons instead of the gatling gun, and maybe a specials shop for new specials, but other than that not a bad game nerdy.

This game was done in under a day, so, factoring in the rapidness of its production, it's really quite good. As a whole, though, I believe it needs work before it starts getting the level of recognition and adoration that your previous games have received.

i didn't expect to make any more entries, but i had an idea and i had some time to make it. so here it is. let me know if you have any suggestions, i'll see if the game deserves future updates!
