LOL GREAT GAME. I found out if u want ot win, use the wooden leg, evenind dress, shiny bald head, and skull mask. With those combined i am doing 10-15 dmg a hit to everyone witrhin range, not to meantion all the arrows and stuff that i stacked buffs with to make uber awesome in crits.

This game is GREAT practice for my music theory because I have to compose a melody that will help me in the game and pick chords that wont sound bad with it. It's too bad that all of the chords are in major though so I can't compose in keys other than C major and so the 2, 3, and 7 are in major so they don't really work... So it would be nice if there was more flexibility... Also its a little buggy, if I'm navigating on the very last not of, say, page one, and then press the arrow to go one to the right, it will loop around and then say it went to page two but still be on page one.
Despite those little complaints, this game rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its awesome, but might i recommend you add some accomadations for people like me who are
"rhythmly chalenged" I mean, im no vitrisuo, and this game has a steep learning curve for those who have'nt touched an instrument in their life.

On the musical interface. The only musicians that use the score as primary interface are experienced composers, others use a musical instrument. I can't click into the score to generate notes, so the real input device is the piano keyboard. Using the mouse to interact with it is cumbersome - piano programs on computers have used the keyboard for this for ages, using the top row for white keys and numbers for black keys (you could use shift to get into the second octave) (mind different keyboard layouts though). But the best and most intuitive interface for this game would be to use the game map itself for playing - to click on a section of the map to place the note or the chord, and have the map itself be the score; this would also allow for feedback on which boxes have appeared. A musical score could be an extra, but it shouldn't be divided in lines, but rather scroll horizontally, like a sequencer.

After having played level 1, I see two problems:
a) I try to place all boxes, but I need to manually count how many of each note I've already placed - and since I can't see all of the score all the time (why not? Too small for phones? I'm playing this on a big screen!) this is somewhat annoying.
b) Absolute showstopper: when I go back to a level I've already played (in this case, 1-1), the tune I carefully composed is gone. The game should have warned me to save it if it didn't save itself - autosaving is pretty much standard on many construction games, and it's needed if you want to improve on what you did before. Very very annoying.
c) Desirable feature: Autochord. Unless I misunderstand what chords do (i.e. if the specific chord would set the direction of the shockwave), the game could just guess at the chords that best fit a bar. Related to that is tonality: can I use F1# to activate an F1 block? If not, many of teh chords are wasted. The tutorial didn't make that clear.

Noooo!!!!! Too simple composition! I want more bars! I want more notes! I want an aumented sixth chord, or a minor seventh chord with augmented fifth! I want to... Compose! How can I write counterpoint in a game like this?

I tried to approximate At Zanarkand to the best of my ability. Two initial problems. 1. Length 2. wrong time signature. 8 lines of 4 was not enough so i had to cut some of the song. hopefully it wasn't key. And the original song was in 3/4 not the 4/4 the game gives you. also only giving us quarter notes makes it tricky to do most songs. I would also like to suggest allowing chords to played anywhere within a bar and having it's sound last perhaps a whole note. Basically I'm asking for a better music editor xD. But good job! 5/5. The Menu music was also very good.

Didn't understand how certain songs make the game easier but it's fun, also, maybe there should be a search function when importing music.
And maybe make it so that rather than to stay in the air rather than jumping repeatedly, just let the charecter fly.

I love the changes you made to it Nerdook! It may be another TD game...but it's a very unique one! I think you'd make an amazing RPG! *wants you to make it*

I'm not saying that it's a bad game, I just think that people should stop rating after what status the developer got. If you are a good music composer and likes the game, fine! Rate it high. But when I see comments like bubblecars you know...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Alright guys, you must start rating for what it actually is. Like bubblecars, "I dont have any idea what I was doing, but anyway great game! 5/5". What? So you didn't understand anything, but gives it 5/5 anyway? You don't help the developer by saying things "you should say", you help him MUCH MORE if you say what you actually think about it.
I guess this comment will just be downrated, but I have told you my opinion now...
