Under rating threshold (show) Its awesome, but might i recommend you add some accomadations for people like me who are "rhythmly chalenged" I mean, im no vitrisuo, and this game has a steep learning curve for those who have'nt touched an instrument in their life.

Under rating threshold (show) It would be so much nicer to be able to compose with the number line, or a line of letters assigned to each note

Under rating threshold (show) On the musical interface. The only musicians that use the score as primary interface are experienced composers, others use a musical instrument. I can't click into the score to generate notes, so the real input device is the piano keyboard. Using the mouse to interact with it is cumbersome - piano programs on computers have used the keyboard for this for ages, using the top row for white keys and numbers for black keys (you could use shift to get into the second octave) (mind different keyboard layouts though). But the best and most intuitive interface for this game would be to use the game map itself for playing - to click on a section of the map to place the note or the chord, and have the map itself be the score; this would also allow for feedback on which boxes have appeared. A musical score could be an extra, but it shouldn't be divided in lines, but rather scroll horizontally, like a sequencer.

Under rating threshold (show) After having played level 1, I see two problems: a) I try to place all boxes, but I need to manually count how many of each note I've already placed - and since I can't see all of the score all the time (why not? Too small for phones? I'm playing this on a big screen!) this is somewhat annoying. b) Absolute showstopper: when I go back to a level I've already played (in this case, 1-1), the tune I carefully composed is gone. The game should have warned me to save it if it didn't save itself - autosaving is pretty much standard on many construction games, and it's needed if you want to improve on what you did before. Very very annoying. c) Desirable feature: Autochord. Unless I misunderstand what chords do (i.e. if the specific chord would set the direction of the shockwave), the game could just guess at the chords that best fit a bar. Related to that is tonality: can I use F1# to activate an F1 block? If not, many of teh chords are wasted. The tutorial didn't make that clear.

Under rating threshold (show) Noooo!!!!! Too simple composition! I want more bars! I want more notes! I want an aumented sixth chord, or a minor seventh chord with augmented fifth! I want to... Compose! How can I write counterpoint in a game like this?

Under rating threshold (show) I tried to approximate At Zanarkand to the best of my ability. Two initial problems. 1. Length 2. wrong time signature. 8 lines of 4 was not enough so i had to cut some of the song. hopefully it wasn't key. And the original song was in 3/4 not the 4/4 the game gives you. also only giving us quarter notes makes it tricky to do most songs. I would also like to suggest allowing chords to played anywhere within a bar and having it's sound last perhaps a whole note. Basically I'm asking for a better music editor xD. But good job! 5/5. The Menu music was also very good.

Under rating threshold (show) Didn't understand how certain songs make the game easier but it's fun, also, maybe there should be a search function when importing music. And maybe make it so that rather than to stay in the air rather than jumping repeatedly, just let the charecter fly.

Under rating threshold (show) I'm not saying that it's a bad game, I just think that people should stop rating after what status the developer got. If you are a good music composer and likes the game, fine! Rate it high. But when I see comments like bubblecars you know...

Jun. 17, 2011

Under rating threshold (show) Alright guys, you must start rating for what it actually is. Like bubblecars, "I dont have any idea what I was doing, but anyway great game! 5/5". What? So you didn't understand anything, but gives it 5/5 anyway? You don't help the developer by saying things "you should say", you help him MUCH MORE if you say what you actually think about it. I guess this comment will just be downrated, but I have told you my opinion now...

Under rating threshold (show) For a music game, there's not all that much you can do with the notes. Come on! No slurs? No Glissandos? No Dottes notes? No HALF NOTES???

Under rating threshold (show) I'm sure I would have enjoyed this game vastly more if I was gifted with the knowledge of how to compose music, but that aside; as usual your game is beautifully done, it's got a fun, solid concept, gameplay that rarely feels like a repetitive grind, and a fun rewards system to keep us playing even when it seems hard. Very fun. P.S. The song in the opening menu is beautiful.

Under rating threshold (show) Pressing right and left through the position and up and down as well is super glitched out, it kept copying my line 1 to line 2 and then line 2 would disappear, it was pissing me off so much, I don't know if I'm ever going to finish saints go marching just to play the level >.>

Under rating threshold (show) only 3.69, this game deserves about 4.25, considering that you can cheat, but the cheating saves time. And the plot is good, but not Nerdook's best.

Under rating threshold (show) If you want more flaws to correct, an option to have the game ask if you are sure before clearing your work would be wonderful, because losing my entire song to a misclick is a bitch. Other nice things to have would include tempo and rhythm control and a wider range of notes.
