To get Hard Badge, follow these steps. 1) Max EVERYTHING. 2) Use Shark Gun. 3) Place Mouse cursor at right side of screen, above the ground. 4) Keep constantly shooting your gun when the shark goes down. If you get to a pyramid of steel crates, shoot 3 rows of Sharks to keep on going. If lucky, you'll be able to get ammo boxes and achieve several rounds of Sharks. When I did this, I got my Hard Badge, but also got OVER the required amount and ended up with 3168m! Hope this helps.

For hard badge I suggest Autodrive OFF, Large Wheels and Remote Control. Save Spikes for as long as possible. When you get to arround 2200 just use all 3 spikes, should get you to 2500 without problem, no matter where bomb is.

for the hard badge i got it using the shark gun as starting weapon and hope for a few ammo ballons along the way and spam it when you need to, then hope to get a really good 2nd backup weapon i (luckly) got the grenade launcher and easily completed it ended up around 2900 or so...hope this helps

Pro tip: When getting through metal walls, don't shoot them. Just go for large wheels and activate spikes - it slaughters the wall AND speeds you up :D

Just did the hard badge with rear BIG wheel front normal wheel and using remote/trex...try to punch those walls with the trex instead of the spike...keep them for the end and it all should go well! Good luck ALL!!

After multiple attempts at 2500 with the gauss rifle (and getting within 100 meters) I used the shark gun and hit 3000 on my first try. It has HUGE ammo and I had at least 10 ammos spawn so once I got to about 2200 I just spammed sharks as fast as possible and I ran another 800 meters without any issues.

2752! Shark gun is so strong, and extra ammo can really make or break your run to victory. I believe I got 20some clips in total. I was able to spam a wall of sharks in front of me.

Wait. So shooting an incoming missile point-blank with a shotgun causes it to disintegrate harmlessly, but letting the missile hit the ground in front of you blasts your monster truck high into the air?

Hmm, this was easy for a “hard” badge… After 7 saved trucks in normal, all thanks to my trusty boomerang, I made it through overtime on the first try, all thanks to my new friend the shark.

This game is awesome! :D I really, really, really applaud you for getting the weapon balancing right. The later ones truly feel way stronger compared to the early ones, while the back up weapon mechanic both keeps the other weapons relevant and serves as a constant reminder at how much more awesome your weapons are now. 5/5, absolutely loved it.

When firing my last gauss rifle shot at a balloon hoping to get a new clip, I instead ended up adding another clip to my next weapon... Only small, but a useful fix.

I want to duck tape my comrade to the bottom of my truck. No I don't care if he'll think his job sucks... He'll be more useful there swinging his melee weapon at whatever I can't happen to drive over atm...

FINALLY! The hard achievement is mine!
For those curious, I was Level 38 with everything upgraded at that point. I used the Gauss Rifle sparingly in the first couple areas, but once I passed the first bridge I settled into using it in a rhythmic pattern. I used the wheel spikes only for the occasional speed boost, but also used it when the Gauss Rifle ran out of ammo to get past the metal box barricades. Also this achievement is partly reliant on luck. GOD SPEED, GAMERS!

Shark gun may not cover as much ground area as the minigun but its ammunition is incredible, making it likely the best gun for the job.

2500 distance is quite hard. I manage to get 2000+ every run, but didn't reach the 2500 once. Gauss rifle and shark gun seem to be the best guns to pick and the remote control is great too.
I guess it's a fun game nevertheless!

This is great! The shark weapon is kind of OP for making the 2500 run (only the barriers slow it down). Otherwise, amazing game!

Max out your engine upgrade first. Then max out your ammo upgrade before putting points into your explosives upgrade and you should do fine. I pick up insane speed with maxxed engine upgrades.

Shark gun. Better than minigun of death, gauss gun, blimp bomber, nade launcher, automatic rifles.
Remote Control. No, not a corny Ion Cannon Strike, instead a fearsome Flying Cyborg Dinosaur armed with Gattling Laser, Rocket Launcher Cells, and Intergral Mechanized Jaws.

Nothing beats the blade boomerang. It’s like a constant spikes in front of you, mowing everything to shreds. Easy to use too. Seriously, don’t switch around. Blade boomerang = WIN.

Super Easy Hard Badge = Auto drive, Large wheels, Shark gun, As many upgrades as possible (I had maxed vehicle and combat upgrades but only level 3 general upgrade). Use spikes only when approaching the stack of grey boxes. After spikes run out, spam sharks as you approach the stack of grey boxes. Always try to get ammo from balloons and you'll never run out of sharks.
