Congrats nerdook on your lovely new wife! Maybe if you spell her name (Carrot) you should give mondo bonus points? Anyway, fun little game. Love the frantic fast pace action of the first game type.

Great game! 5/5 Any chance of instructions on how the scoring works, or even better show the score before submitting the word?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Excellent game, but I think there should be some clearer instructions. I was thinking that every letter had to be adjacent to another, but it turns out they can be anywhere on the board.
why would they have to be adjacent? lol. and yup, they can be combined from anywhere on the board. you can even type the letters in through the keyboard.

I got challenged to create a word containing the letter "c", and taco was already spelled out on the board. How could I resist?

As one of the enthusiasts of this game, let me give some considered feedback: I love word games, and this is a really good one. The concept is great, the scoring makes sense, it's easy and fun to play. The timed and non-timed options offer different challenges, as do the highscores for single word and total score.
Still, I think the game could be improved, taking it from 4/5 to 5/5. My suggestions would be: (1) Make sure bonuses are always achievable after shuffling the letters (e.g., bonus for word beginning with B, there should be a B after shuffling). (2) Improve the letter selection algorithm. You shouldn't suddenly find yourself with 6 U's... (3) Balance out the bonuses: the multipliers are MUCH better than the bonus scores. Single vowel words are weak, so this bonus shouldn't be repeated several times during the game. (4) Finally, separate the highscores for timed and untimed games, as they are very different.
Thanks for a great game :-)

I jave just noticed that I can play with other languages than english, and thus, with my own language. Thanks Nerdook! Another Great game you came with...

Can we get some idea of how it scores words? It looks like longer words are almost always better than words with higher-scoring letters, but it's unclear exactly why. Does the base score of the letters get multiplied by the word length?

Really nice game...love that you can pick your letters from anywhere on the playing board..makes it alot more interesting and fun.

My best word so far was "EMOTIONAL" 3840 pts. (4x multiplier for min. 7 letters haha) yaaay - scored over 20.000 on thinking cap ^^. This is a fun game ;) Thanks for making and posting it ;)

brained for 3332 points O_O
Anyways, it's pretty nice for nerdook to put up a word game, it's somewhat unusual for him.

My best words so far were
Cultured 3675, acclaiming 6480, quotitions 6804, conflation, and finaly climaxing 7680
And I have no clue what they could have meant! :D

Delete clearing the entire word rather than just one letter is a pain in the neck when you're used to playing other word games.

And a fresh breeze filled the room. Was getting a bit tired of all the crazy demons, samurais and whatnot. As for this game I'm not that good at spelling, but I think it's spelled two... jk, four stars.

When the bonus is for using the letter "L", could you make it a capital L instead of a lowercase l? For ease of reading purposes.

Really good, the one problem is that sometimes if you press shuffle you'll end up not being able to do the thing it says. You should make it so the thing it asks for is always possible.

Great game!!! Quite unusual for Nerdook to make a game like this. This game is somewhat, difficult. The one time I got the two letters I was looking for (To spell out "Seagulls") I had the "Sea" and the "lls" part, but not the "gu" so I was sad. Great game!!! 999.99(+0.01)/1

How does the letter randomizer work? Several times in the same game I had no consonants at all. and most of the rest of the game I had no more than 4 in the whole grid. There also seems to be no preference for common letters.

This is pretty cool. I like word games anyway, but this is especially fun. Nerdook, you managed to make yet another satisfying game.

When it says smth. like "start the word with letter 'e' to get a bonus", and I press shuffle, then there is a very high chance that there will no be letter 'e' in the new set so I won't be able to complete the quest. IMO, either the bonus quest must change upon shuffle, or the shuffled set must satisfy the quest.

Brilliant. Change one variable (time), and it's a completely different game! Also enjoyed the music. It's pleasant without being intrusive. Perfect for puzzling!

drnoam: You are correct the scores are mixed together. I agree it would be better if they were separate. My top score is for untimed, randomania's is for timed.

A very awesome game, simple and addictive. And this is for Nerdook's new wife, also a side project. Just read the description. Also, my highest word was 'DICERS' that scored 1240 points...I think. (But I made use of a bonus in thinking cap mode :L)
