I've uncovered every tile and haven't found the daiymo 3 times now. Is that a bug? or can he hide in forests and I can't see enemys in there? Also, I love it when the footprints go in a circle.

Without the ability to maintain upgrades despite 'Game Over' makes this game too hard, and not in any way fun. I am really disappointed because I really like the artwork and game concept.

"And so it was that the Super Samurai's quest for vengeance was fulfilled, as the Shogun, all the land's Daimyos, and their entire army lay dead by his sword.
Of course little did he know this would throw the entirety of Japan into complete and utter chaos as the sudden loss of ruling class caused a total Governmental collapse but...y'know, at least he had vengeance. That gotta count for something, right?"

Monks are show offs, a mook shot an arrow at my monk but as it was about to pass over him, my monk jumped into the arrow and dodged it!

Found a bug - Daimyo starts in middle of map and goes off the map to the top before coming back down the other side. Is he visiting another prefecture?

Well this was a fun minigame. Loved how it's like minesweeper and cutesy drawings. 5/5.However, more upgrades like -5% to use special skills.

Anyone who doesn't like this game because of upgrades and/or "luck" - you're actually just bad at it. There is strategy, and it's hard for a reason.

I feel like no matter what I do in this game, I'm completely powerless as to whether I win or lose. It's extremely frustrating... I usually love Nerdook's games, but I really don't like this one...

How come in the Shogun province it says Daimyo not shogun and it says you have defeated the Daimyo it should be Shogun

Interesting and challenging game, also enjoyed the art style but find the story just a bit cliche. Still amazing thought! :)

Very difficult to get the hang of the strategy, but satisfying when you do. I went through and sort of blundered around blindly through my first campaign and wound up having to replay the shogun about 10 times to get lucky and beat it. Once I learned a good strategy however I was able to go back and vastly improve my score. I do wish that you could go back to a province and grind just a tiny but to avoid getting stuck at the end with the wrong stats but it adds to the difficulty which is nice and rare to find in a flash game. 4/5

Hmmm, finding enemies is arbitrary, upgrades don't last, are expensive, and do little, your allies can't be healed and don't retain upgrades purchased, and there's no way to replay things and get stronger. Basically, if you mess up, you start over. 2/5

The thing I don't like about this game is that if you make the wrong upgrade decisions, you are screwed and it's literally impossible to beat the other levels. Considering the attacking, dodging, etc is automatic, even if you're a master at this game the decisions still effect your progression.

Well, just to see if I could do it: you can defeat nightmare mode without multi-strike (though its pretty hard). You can collect over a 1000 silver if you really try, and you can beat normal mode with out spending an XP except to buy companions.

"Ok guys, if you're stuck in a region you won't be able to get any extra silver or experience" "Bu-.. but how should we beat the shogun then?" "Restart entirely, I don't care about your problems"

Hah, beat my high score. Got it up to 634,750. Turns out the value of remaining clicks increases the more you have. I don't think I can top that value. I claim this game conquered

high score 588,500 points. Did it on nightmare. Trick is to complete each level with the most amount of clicks remaining each level and making sure you get the full multiplier.

lol when u reset the campaign u see the Samurai near a white tree and when you click the button he stabs himself and dies. EPIC

I love you nerdook. I am always actively seeking out your games because they are always amazing! I tip my hat to you, Sir.
P.S. I have added to your tip jar so you may continue making more great games!

At the very least you could have game the player unlimited clicks within any given province. This would have been a great option and you STILL wouldnt have enough xp to get even remotely close to all the upgrades or character level ups. The provinces would have been more tactical than anything, making the player have to choose carefully when to heal and when to fight. But nope, you made a limited number of moves that are only 1/6 the total number of boxes in the province to make the game terrible. Thanks for that.

Great concept for a game, but is COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY destroyed by limited moves within a province, and the fact that you are unable to farm, even a little bit. Seriously, Nerdook, I have no idea what you were thinking. These additions to the game do not add to the overall gameplay in the slightest. You pretty much just put them there to piss everyone off by limiting your game to 1/10 of its potential. Make a sequel and fix this piece of trash. 1 star. Would go less If I could.
