It would be cool if the "see all ranges" feature could be color coded, i.e., each type of unit has a certain color for its range. Because when you start having many units, it's nearly impossible to tell wether your fuel launchers have the entire field covered, or wether your flamethrowers have your people protected, or things like that, because all the ranges merge into a big, white space. + if you agree.

Commander: "Okay men, I want you to shoot anything that comes in range."
Nail Gun Troop: "What if the aliens get past us? Do we turn around?
Commander: "NO!"

"Hey we're stranded in this desert. First thing's first, everyone must destroy their weapons after each day. And NO we will not use the resources from the guns the next day, we will start with new materials."

Awesome game, but it needs a bit more depth. Upgrades, structures (pillboxes, trenches). Just some more stuff to flesh it out and give it a better feel. Maybe add a few more maps as well, like having to retreat inside the ship on failure, or day 4 or 5.

Upgrades would make this 5/5 game better, so you dont just keep placing the same guy over and over. Longer gameplay and indepth story will be awesome.

we were engineers, not soldiers. fights an entire day, shooting 100+ times and never misses. i want this guy in my army. if XCOM had these guys, those sectoids would be toast.

For level 5 I suggest the following purchase order: 1) Buy 3 groups of 3 flares, at the sides and at the center. 2)Buy 3 nailgunners, and place them to cover your flares. 3) buy a center fuel. 4) buy a side fuel. 5) buy a side fuel, and 3 more nails. 6)buy 4 more nails, put them in between the groups, in pairs. 7)Buy 2 lasers, and put them behind the pairs, money permitting. From now on, the wave number and the point number may vary. 8)Hog your money. You will need to get at least 3 flamethrowers soon. Once you can put them to cover your others. If you are doing it right you will get them right before the first hunter wave. 9)Increase flamethrower number to 6 ASAP. You know the drill from level 3. 10)Buy 3 more lasers, to bolster your main groups. 11)Buy 5 Impulsers, to cover the battlefield. 12)Prepare for the final wave. That is - 2000+ monsters. P.S. I only lost a side flamethrower and an impulser, as a fluke, on this wave.

The ending was okay but there should have been another paragraph after the ship took off explaining how you were all safe and secure. I am sure that you had the idea of doing that when making the game but you should have gone through with it. Great game otherwise 5/5

After the final wave in the final mission, there was so much green blood all over the place that you could mistake it for grass growing in the desert.

Almost a great game, but there are three problems which keep it from being a 5/5 in my mind. 1) It'd be nice to be able to on and off to view existing units' area of effect. 2) This is probably the most important. Nothing on the map is symmetric! The lines of the grid / ground form the angles for an x / y axis, but the guide that appears when placing a unit is uneven (one side is longer than the other) and the arrows in front of the guide are not centered. This creates an illusion of uniformity, which when used as a guide to place units, fails to create a uniform placement. This might not mean much to other players who are more keen to just intuitively place units, but to me I'd much rather be able to make an informed decision to optimize my fields of fire. (On that note, another guide line directly along the center of the field would be nice as well)

I don't care what they say about just being engineers. If they can fire an improvised nailgun with 100% accuracy at a target several meters away and not panic about the fact that they may be torn to shreds by something under the sand, then they're soldiers. If they are telling the truth and they are engineers though, then I want to become an engineer.

The engineers either made the most accurate self-aiming weapons, or they're the best soldiers in the galaxy, either way I want them on my side.

The idea of the game is nice but it seriously lacks on things you can do. In my opinion you wait too long during the waves with doing nothing, and if you loose one guy, you can nearly restart the game (on normal) because with a hole in your line, the monsters shouldn't have a harder way to pass...

i have one simple single problem with this game and its the tilt of the screen to ruin my best laid plans to make everything symettrical lol other than that good game enjoyable although low replay ability after badges but yeah goood 4/5

Even on easy it is easy for the enemies can easily flank your troops. If the enemy gets to the side of your troops can annihilates a good portion of your force. Day 3, the hunters is difficult because of this. Usually, the first few waves are difficult, and the last few waves are easy because you can cover the entire area. See XXDarkShadow97XX's comment.

Day 5 wave 20 is cute. So many aliens toppling over each other, while my guys can't stand within 5 feet of each other.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Very annoying that enemies are able to keep attacking along the side...if you are the sort of person who makes a line of soldiers and one hunter gets past he will go down the line killing everyone.

Day 3 on hard is super hardcore... if you lose one man restart.
The hardest part is when bursters come into play. Last time they took out my entire army of defenses so quick i realized the life support was on 19 some seconds later.

This game needs a fast forward button...
But otherwise, 5*...
Oh, and could you please make the layout of the boundaries more even, its difficult to plot troops so they are evenly distributed

I like the "point this guy in this direction so his cone of fire covers this area" feature at first, but as has been pointed out, it's kind of stupid to think a guy desperate for his and his buddy's lives wouldn't turn and shoot a monster eating his friend's face.
And these guys aren't disciplined soldiers, they're civilians!
