For those curious about how to play this with SuperNova SWF Enabler plug-in, use this address provided below by copying the entirety of it and pasting it onto the address bar at the top of your browser to ensure that it bypasses the ‘GameShell’ issue that have plagued many earlier games of Kongregate: supernova://play/?swfurl=https://chat.kongregate.com/gamez/0002/4820/live/bloonstd3.swf?kongregate_game_version=1224543824 Make sure that your latest installation of SuperNova works correctly, as it will not function if it cannot load games that can work fine without this bypassing of the SWF files here (Used Google Chrome dev tools to get the link).

the game wont load automatically as ruffle doesnt support antiscrip 3 or whatever but if you dicde to run it anyway it will work only restriction are: tacks and ice wont work and you can upgrade towers road spikes work btu ar einvisible and no pineapples i ddint test glue or beacon and supermonkey is expensive aff its a hard challeneg to get a supermonkey with the spam of road spikes

There's no such thing as "easier" or "more difficult". BTD6 is more expansive. Try CHIMPS on Expert and tell me that's "easier". There's just more to choose from - easier, and harder options - in the latest releases.

VIOL_ETTO: Yes, the older versions are more difficult, but better for strategy playing. My favorite version is Bloons Towere Defense 4. But 3 is also good. However, one needs to play differently as the towers act differently.
While I do not normally purchase the Spike-o-pult, it isn't worthless. How I would use it is at the end (bloons coming towards it) of a nice long straight line, and make the target priority to be last.

Kurruptis: pineapples aren't broken. You must not understand how they work. They are a one-time use item, which one places on the track, but you need to prepare in advance as they explode 3 seconds after they are placed.

Yeah boi,got hard(and medium)badge first try, here i will tell some hints.|Hints:First map, start with a maxed dart monkey, after that put some tack towers on parts of map where a lot of bloons pass, after place a catapult on the straight part of the map, then another at the starting of the map.Dont forget to place a monkey beacon at the middle:its very important to get the hard badge. Then place and upgrade a super monkey, and gg.Also, use road spikes whenever its needed

This game is such a classic, remember playing it back in 2008, before btd4, before btd5, there was this gem. It has aged well. I know a lot of people prefer BTD5, but I respect the simplicity of BTD3.

OK, after longer play, I realize that the 10 lives per bloon is because the metal bloons contain 9 each. I will upgrade my stars to reflect my new understanding. 4 stars. Lost 1 star because IMO the metal bloons come out too early in the game.

Am I the only one who finds it offensive that I am shown 100 lives only to learn later that every bloon that passes costs me 10? For this reason alone 1 star!!!!!!

1/5 for silver balloons being immune to all your "towers" and the game not feeling inclined to telling you. I mean, it was a 1/5 anyway, but that set me off. Monkeys are creepy anyway, I despise the ignorant name of the game and the bad graphics reinforce my decision.

RedPandaF0x: You will need to learn which levels present which important new bloons so that you know when you need to place things such as bomb type towers down. Just remember, that for the first one, if you aren’t ready that there are other options. For example, you can use pineapples for your first lead bloons and you can use one set of road spikes for that first camo bloon. But it is very much wasted money if you aren’t prepared for the next time they appear. If necessary, do use those road spikes near the end to prevent bloons from escaping and losing lives. If I know that a round is more difficult than my towers are prepared for, I use glue at such areas as early in the map and where towers are congregated, such as around that first u-turn. Although you don’t want to overuse it, as then you can’t earn enough money, it can help you get through levels as it is definitely cheaper than other options.
If you need further help, feel free to pm me. Good luck!

When you panic once the steel balloons are introduced and you try everything without anything working and you waste all your moneys

This is probably the only infuriating Bloons game out of them all. It's bad enough that the monkeys just MISS half the time, I'm having bloons magically floating over road spikes as if they weren't even there. Yellow bloons just fly around the fully upgraded tack tower totally ignoring the blades. Very frustrating.

You CAN place towers on the track by hovering over a placeable area, then right clicking and placing it onto the track, but it isn't good for most units. Only units with low range area attacks (such as the Tack Shooter or the Ice Tower but NOT the Cannon) or with piercing attacks (such as Dart Monkeys or Spike-o-pults) should this be done too. Placing a monkey beacon on the center of an area onto the track to make room for more Super Monkeys is a great idea though.

funky glitch: hover over an area where you can place any tower you want, then right click. Now try placing it ON THE TRACK
