RedPandaF0x: You will need to learn which levels present which important new bloons so that you know when you need to place things such as bomb type towers down. Just remember, that for the first one, if you aren’t ready that there are other options. For example, you can use pineapples for your first lead bloons and you can use one set of road spikes for that first camo bloon. But it is very much wasted money if you aren’t prepared for the next time they appear. If necessary, do use those road spikes near the end to prevent bloons from escaping and losing lives. If I know that a round is more difficult than my towers are prepared for, I use glue at such areas as early in the map and where towers are congregated, such as around that first u-turn. Although you don’t want to overuse it, as then you can’t earn enough money, it can help you get through levels as it is definitely cheaper than other options.

Level 49 on hard... Firefox froze up, and I thought: "Not now!", and when it started back up, it went at hyper speed and I couldn't place any road spikes down...

to win this on easy go to the 3rd map fill the J with dart monkey's max there dart's to razor darts before round 20 build cannon so it pops the metal balloons. keep placing dart monkeys where ever you can fit them. + this comment if it helps

Is there a limit to number of times you can use monkey storm? Because I just lost on level 48 because it didn't activate.

A glitch to put defenses on track: After you left click to buy something, you can right click, wait a second, and then left click on the track.

Kurruptis: pineapples aren't broken. You must not understand how they work. They are a one-time use item, which one places on the track, but you need to prepare in advance as they explode 3 seconds after they are placed.

was playing hard mode trying to earn the hard badge,i was all good,until i looked away for 5 seconds.. almost the whole wave passed D:

This game has serious issues. Even playing on a top-end Macbook Pro, hard mode starts to have game killing lags by ~level 30.

A NLL strategy: First, Get a tack shooter on the first loop. Slowly upgrade it to 2/2. When bloons get past don't be afraid to place road spikes. Once bloons start to get past consistently get a tack shooter on the second loop and upgrade to 2/2 when the post-text starts talking about leads get a cannon near the 2nd tack shooter. Upgrade cannon to 2/2. You should hopefully be able to have a lot of excess money which is GOOD because the next step is to spam 2/2 super monkeys until the final round. If you do it right you will only need to use a few road spikes and have 3 2/2 super monkeys by round 50. NOTE: although this won me the game on easy mode first track this has not been tested on higher tracks or higher difficulties. Hope this was helpful!

Ok let me get this straight these monkeys pop balloons for money...And they get $1 for each one they pop.... I LOVE THIS JOB!!

Strategy for hard badge:
1. Choose 1st course.
2. Buy Bloomerang, place it in middle of map, upgrade fully.
3. Buy Tack shooter, place it next to bloomerang, upgrade fully.
4. Buy cannon, upgrade fully, then repeat, until you have four.
5. Sell bloomberang in mid and replace with Supermonkey. This should be achieved before the first MOAB wave. Upgrade fully, dont get the plasma upgrade though, its not worth it.
6. Sell Tack shooter and replace with Monkey Beacon. Upgrade range. The four cannons bought should be placed inrange of hte beacon after the upgrade.
7. Buy Another Supermonkey and upgrade like previously.
8. Upgrade Beacon so Monkeys fire even more rapidly.
9. What's next? Well.....the game is closing and the next step is up to you.
Tips and tricks:
1. Buy road spikes early games when needed.
2. Spam pineapples late game and to destroy MOABs. (they are cheap!)

This game is such a classic, remember playing it back in 2008, before btd4, before btd5, there was this gem. It has aged well. I know a lot of people prefer BTD5, but I respect the simplicity of BTD3.
