Under rating threshold (show) Man, this game's got potential. Tons of potential. I agree that this version isn't quite there yet -- I'd probably want to see more of a logical connection between the potion ingredients and the effects (or if there was one, I didn't notice it), and, like, MacLaurin mentioned, more tactical advantages and disadvantages to each form. (I agree that there wasn't much reason to change from fire.) Once you've done that, you can start adding some varied enemies that require some mastery of these different techniques. But still, for a first attempt at something completely new and original, this was a really interesting game...

Under rating threshold (show) Interesting concept, but needs some changes IMO. The powerups were eay too hard to get, and when I finally got one, I couldn't see any difference, and the damage I was doing seemed to be the same. The witch is annoyingly hard to get. I didn't notice any tactical differences between different mixes of colours, there was never any point to change from fire. And there should be a smallest distance to fire, because I kept hitting my own wall several times in a row, which was very irritating. Maybe that's just me sucking at this game though...

Under rating threshold (show) The overall concept of the game has really good merit, the design could be better with better graphics and sound, and like phack1986, the powerups aren't generally that helpful, and are hard to achieve.... Overall an average game, would like to see a part 2 with some improvements

Under rating threshold (show) A good concept, but graphics is not at all what I'd say the problem is. It's a problem of growth, difficulty, and rewards. The concept is fun and interesting, but ultimately the game is very easy (I just got bored and stopped), too slow to grow (upgrades take forever to get to), upgrades don't seem to do much, and after 19 levels the enemies seemed to just be repeating instead of getting harder. I'd love to see a version 2 that included some more stats, new enemies, and a better difficulty gradient.

Under rating threshold (show) A VERY original idea, havnt seen anything REMOTELY lke it. For that i gave 2 points. Replay value, let u down 0 points. Graphics= not the greatest 1 point and because it got repetitive later on, but still was fun for a while another 1 point. Altogethee, 4/5. Wel Done.

Under rating threshold (show) I enjoyed this game even though it became really repetitive. I like the concept behind it, but once I found a good mixture that could wipe out most of the enemies in a shot it became really easy. The enjoyable part was finding the most effective attack. The pause button was a big plus though...good call on that one. Good game, but could use a little variety (per the other suggestions below). Great start though!

Under rating threshold (show) this game is semi-broken, but has potential to be awesome. All you have to do is, a few levels in, once you've got a little bit of money, is put all 3 potions to the max. With careful aiming, you can take out enough enemies in one shot to replenish all of your potions. This is especially true later on when enemies give 350, 500, and 3000 each.

Under rating threshold (show) It was certainly a grand idea, I won't deny...but I wouldn't have minded perhaps just a little bit more of a learning curve-typed game. It seemed to just press you straight into what the entire game would be without any introduction or otherwise. ((Plus, the learning curve, I think, would make it a little bit less stale.)) I agree entirely with Paigoddess' idea of the log for new potions. A bestiary-like thing, really, would also be helpful. Ultimately, though, I think it would've been best to do something like...start out with one or two potions, then give the player the option to upgrade with a third potion, and possibly even a fourth potion to make the game even more interesting. Some side things for me was the lack of music and the fairly short field ((Like...what I mean is the area in which the monsters walk up to the wall.)) Other than that, though, it was a novel idea. Gratitude to Ninjakiwi for another great release!

Under rating threshold (show) Does get stale after a while, got a little tense near the end but still able to beat on the first try. Needs mainly to speed up a bit, try to get rid of the lag, and add a little more variety in the second half. I'm also not entirely sure what all the available potions are nor what the enemy's weaknesses are even after beating it. Might be cool if it gave little callouts (and a log) as you discovered new potions, and gave some way to see damage being dealt or otherwise see which were most effective vs different enemies.
