@Dragonlight, the sound bug should be fixed now. I looked into possible reasons for the break not re-racking in Straight Pool and fixed a possible cause. It's yet to happen to me, so let me know if it happens again - cheers.

Hi there. I've been playing a long game with the computer and the score is at 39-33. The racks have stopped coming. I've tried potting my cue ball and everything else, and nothing seems to work. Also, the sound seems to come and go every couple of minutes.
Please fix these problems.

@cs192, that shouldn't be a problem. If the CPU can't pot, hit or get out of a snooker, then it just plays a random shot.

possible bug, computer player is frozen in thinking mode due to no obvious ball to play. hasn't happened to me before (am on 57th pint)

@092767, I haven't had that foul problem on the break before. I've just been trying to recreate the bug but I haven't been able to. Anyone else noticed it? Cheers - Oh thanks for 5/5 :)

love the game 5/5, should have badges but sometimes when i break off ill split the balls everywhere then it would say 'foul, you've got to hit something!'

Probably the best pool game on Kongregate, and the music is awesome too. One thing I might suggest is having the option of showing where the balls would go for beginners such as myself.

JDGA, for that shot you have to add back or top spin to avoid the collision - all the challenges are possible - and thanks for the 5/5! Also, STABONES - the pints you drink are basically experience points, the more you drink the more computer players you unlock for single matches. You constantly drink some beer as you play and win matches.

It's fun, but double #5 is completely impossible due to the white running into a red after potting the black.
Great game though, 5/5 and fav'd.

The problem with the physics that I have are the way the balls bounce off the bumpers by the pockets. Its a little ridiculous its like they are in a pin ball machine. Otherwise great game!

Its been about 2 hours playing this at work, I love this game! Best pool flash game... maybe even best pool video game in general!! I wish I could give some kreds!

Hondaa, you've obviously never played pool in England. The rules tend to change from city to city or even pub to pub. So, that's why you can set the rules before you play.
Reiver14, each computer player does the same each time - sometimes they get lucky and pot a few. I've played pool with my sister and she's the same - normally sh*t, then she gets lucky and pots a few easy ones.
Wydowson, you must be playing Straight Pool and not 8-ball. If you pot your oppenent's ball it's always a foul unless it's your first of 2 shots.

Physics seem fine to me. I did notice that sometimes (not all the time), a ball might hit a corner rail at a pocket and bounce out when it should typically go in. I am playing this on my laptop with no problems. It's not like an action game or something. And yeah, the table does seem slow, as in the balls stop rolling quicker than in real life. All in all, a good game.

NipponMonkey, do not worry about people that complain about the physics, this is one of the best pool games! Theres no time, no crappy wait for the computer to figure out where the balls are, and most of all, you can play straight pool up to 150 points! 5/5

This game has great physics and a lovely control system. But the rules are wrong, I potted my opponents ball with no foul and my opponent potted the black and didn't lose!!

I don't know what everyone is talking about, the physics are just fine. Its just challenging to get the hang of, like real pool, this game is great

Thanks for all your comments so far! It seems most of you like it, but some of you think the physics suck - but never say why. I play a lot of pool and I think the physics are pretty good for a flash game. Razboss is right that the balls stop a little quickly, but that's because people complained the balls didn't stop quickly enough in a past version - and it keeps the game flowing better, I think. Also, I have know idea why someone said the balls bounce out of the pockets if you hit it really hard - this is impossible as there is nothing in the pockets for them to bounce off!

Yes i hit the ball at an angle and instead of going to the left as i hit it on the right corner it goes up and down in a stirght line...

Yes, i am sorry but the physics are not convincing at all... And as it is the most important thing in a billiard game, imo... 2/5

Great, pretty accurate physics despite these rubes saying otherwise. Some of the extreme spins, particularly the side, are a bit messed, but it's good.
Giving it 5/5 in hope of network play!
