I don't think the best way is to spin your mouse in a circular motion, it's a bit harder to attain lots of metres. Best way I think is just flick your mouse as fast as you can to the top right corner of your screen. Thumbs up to help the confused or the people who want most of the greed of getting a high score!

A really nice trick is to zoom out on your web browser, so it makes the game window smaller, so when you move your mouse to fling it the game processes your mouse cursor as moving at a ridiculous speed. I just got over 11,000m with this method.

The game still detects the mouse when it's outside of the Flash window. This helps a lot for getting high scores, especially if you have dual monitors.

I build up a LOAD of momentum, then the tail seems to be more affected by gravity than anything else in existence, and it slows to a halt. Hmm.
