Bastard game, Never once warns you that you lose all your troops when you avenge being invaded, in fact it basically tricks you, you get attacked and don't lose the lost troops then avenge against a guy 19 lvls above you (which you can't see untill it's too late) Asshole game, I liked it until now, Now I have no gold and no army.

It's almost like these game developers HAVE read the comments on these "pay to play" games, but decide to spite us by spawning even crappier doppelgangers every three weeks or so. Flipping sadists.

Done. 3 PvP victories. No gems used. Here are some tips:
SPELLS - use them! Note that spells start with 1 turn cooldown, so they're unusable on their first turn. Thus, forget chain lighting. Prioritize damage and healing spells - buy more if needed! You should get plenty on your trip to level 8.
RUNES - on your spell book, to your right, see a green tab? Click on it. Those are your runes page. USE THOSE. You get a ton for free upon hitting level 8 to start off. Take the best. Forget the "free healing at the end of battle".
ALT - press alt at the battle screen. You'll see more info appear. Mousing over any unit -> more information. Use that to your advantage. The 3 icons that appear at the bottom of every unit mean something. First: turn order. Second: type. I never figured out the third meant.
STRATEGY - the battle has some strategy to it. Remember some units are advantageous against others. Spam healing with your mage - it helps! Prioritize mages and those of a higher tier.

Because these cash grab games earn money for kongregate. Why else? They know that if they add badges, game gets more popular, even if it is horrible. Badges = more popular. More popular = more players. More players = more possible money.

Great game, but could be the game of the month ( or the year ) for me if they were more units, especially from the beast faction, because they have no legendary units ,as dragons

What ever you do, DO NOT add more badges, people don't want to play this garbage. This game has the worst energy/stamina system I ever seen. Unless you win every battle or not sustain any losses (which is pretty much impossible), you run out of stamina when you heal/revive your troops after 1 or 2 battles. Horrible game with more emphasis on forcing people to buy things than gameplay.

Ok seriously. Can you stop with the money grabbing time based games. They take no skill for the achievements, they just take sometimes up to weeks to get unless you pay to win. Leave this farmville like junk for Facebook, stick to the good games the reason I joined you in the first place.

This was quite a promising game, however it just can't connect to the server in the last 2 days. I managed to connect once yesterday, but that was the only time.

I do wish for a negative rating possibility. But after spending more than ten minutes without even seeing anything from this game except for loading screen I don't think any negative rating would suit this.

Apparently they've adopted the Zynga business model.
You have a stamina bar that limits the amount of fun you can have. You'll expend it much faster than it will recharge on its own but you can pay ~$2 (USD) to recharge it instantly. Without spending any money, you can play only 1 battle every 25 mins.
There are also in-game perks to purchase that range from ~$1 to $15 (USD), many of which are time-limited or expendable.
For reference:
1 Kred = 1 Gem = $0.10 (USD)
1 stamina = free every 5 mins.
1 battle = 5 stamina = ~5 mins
(6 battles on 25 stamina + natural recharge = 30 mins before you need to be a ~$2 (USD) stamina potion.)
Cost to play continuously without delays appears to be ~$4/hr without extra perks.

I played this game a few months ago, I think it was August? Still, back then this game loaded MUCH faster. I can't remember much, but I know quite a lot of things have changed such as the map, upgrading of troops and the addition of runes. You could do more things with the same amount of energy back then, too. Changed my rating from a 4/5 to 1/5, glad that I already have 3 pvp wins. Goodbye forever, energy-based pay2win crap(Seriously, when are developers going to stop doing this?).

In addition to all the stupid restrictions: the game is pay to win as fcuk. Duels are NOT matched by gearscore or even level. Also having to fight the same battle twice to complete some quests is just stupid (a bug?)

that pvp thing is really "nice", always battling against enemys 6 or 7 levels above me. there is not a slight chance to win such battles. e.g.: i´m lv19 against lv26, remind i have spells in my book that i can´t upgrade fully (like fiery arrow, entanglement, and so on), but my enemy can upgrade to max. fair? also enemy has access to better unit types. fair? i´m very annoyed by this pvp system, please think it over. i also would suggest to make a lv cap, not more than 2 levels difference allowed.

so i have been really hopeful about this game. i've looked past the energy system the in game ads every 10 min. the horrible connection. but i just got a huge red diamond from a battle. thinking it is a rare find i hurry and finish the battle. what does it do? it doubles the amount of crystals you buy at a time. SERIOUSLY?!?! even your "special" items are there to only make money?! i had it at 3/5 but now you are a 1 and after 1 more pvp win i will happily never play you again

Developers: how bout instead of trying to suck money out of players on every step create PREMIUM accounts for those, who actually plan and WANT to pay, charge them per month, and stop calling the game F2P already? And by the way: at the same time you could make a separate duel ladder for them, huh?

It's a great game, but it needs to allow Kongregate friends cooperation. It was released on FB recently. Also there is my favourite part : replenishable stamina points :/ 5/5 anyway - it's new versin of Kings Bounty :D
Actually we plan to provide you with more opportunities of cooperation in a couple of weeks or so. And by the way, you cand send and accept gifts from your friends. It's a good way to get some gold, stamina potions etc.

Besides the ridiculous amount of spam and attempts to make players buy stuff, the game is monotone and needs serious balancing! After applying the last fix, the game is even worse. At first I kept playing seeing that things might get better but I realize now I wasted so much time playing this game. Im sad I will never have that time again, because it has been mostly frustrating, long waiting unfair matches and always the same stuff over and over again.

I'm level 14, and I just got paired against a level 33, who had over 30 paladins to my 4, not to mention the rest of the units. Closed the game before the fight even started, and now I'm back to repair my units and try again. I will get this badge, and then never touch this pile of crap again.

I've seen so many boobs in these terrible games, flopping around free of such unnecessary burdens of battle as "protection from stabbing implements", that I'm no longer even the slightest bit interested in them any more. We have reached post-scarcity on boobs. They do nothing to sell products any more. They are NORMALIZED. All you're doing when you plaster them all over fantasy trite like this is making women uncomfortable and enlightened people dismiss you as yet another group pandering to clueless, horny 12-year-olds (because even 13-year-olds have standards these days).

It's really a shame to see so much good looking graphics go to waste on a game like this. Developers and Kong, please understand that we like games, love them even, but paying for games should not be something that we have to do. I hate to say it, but we are already saturated in a number of games that offer pay to play, and that is a huge turn off for players in general. We love that there is a tip jar where if we really want to donate to the developer we can do it like that. And there ARE games we will find worthy of paying for.

As a longtime fan of the KB series, I'd like to get into this game. However, I can't justify spending more than I would for a retail game in the span of a week just to be able to progress at a reasonable rate. If shop items were a tenth of their current price, I might consider falling into this trap, but as they are now, you could easily spend hundreds a month just to remain competitive.

The PvP matching system really needs to be fixed, getting matched against players level 30+ while being level 10 and getting punished for running away is just bullshit. Plus, not being able to run from garrison avenge fights, where you can't see the army you're going against, and having to lose all your army just pisses people off.

this game would be good if reviving soldiers did not cost stamina, and/or if stamina recharged faster.... when I am only allowed to do 2 battles and revive my units per full bar, it is kind of not worth playing.

@Kongregate: if you absolutely have to give batches to cash games like this, at least stop giving batches for the _pvp content_ of pay2win games!
