Idk if this works for anyone else, but when I select rogue, go into mods, go back out and select Casual Noble, and finally reenter mods I am able to start as a noble with the little girl sidekick. Hope it helps!

Gotta say, Rogue class is severely overpowered if you could survive first 40 days.
I've made a
rogue(machinegun)
rogue(revolver)
guardian(combat shotgun)
hunter(auto shotgun, air+defense only)
party, switched hero to AI control after 20th day and never had any problem ever since.
WITHOUT Villa at day 200+!
The reason is - I'm getting 35-50k gold income from rogues in addition to the meager 'End of the day''s 10k reward, rogues level extremely fast thanks to 'killer+sense' skill combo and I can afford upgrading their weapons every day since I don't spend 3AP on party every day.
It could even outclass the insane power of the noble(crossbow with autofire mod)+ranger(gravity)+duelist(revolver) on the long run!

Reduced damage, reload time, speed etc are calculated as (damage|reload time) / (1+bonus%)
140% reduced damage means its divided by 2,4x

so, I reduced their damage 140%, and yet they still deal damage... shouldn't they be dealing negative damage (ie healing the castle) or at the very least deal 0 damage?

I have to say, if the devs are even still around, this is most likely my favorite game on Kong. I got my first badge on Aug 14 2011, and i keep coming back for more. Brovo. If by chance the devs would happen to read this, i would be willing to pay for a sequel.

I stopped playing after I only had 3 people including henchmen and I couldn't do shit each wave because of an unbalanced number of enemy monsters.

Welcome to elona shooter... a game where you hire hench men get new guns and/or bows and arrows, have to put up with people destroying your castle, throw parties, upgrade your walls, pray to your god for protection, and all of this for what?!? Day 4, I find the Ragnarok ... um, ok? *takes it* Day 5, I find a second Ragnarok... *think* Perfect! 2x Ragnarok sold = 400 gp = more chickens!

Another hint for noobs like me: if you choose Carry Over, make sure you save the game before retrying the day! If you don't do this, Carry Over glitches and does not actually carry anything over.

For those of you who, like me, have pathetic hand-eye coordination, I strongly suggest you start with the Hunter. His piercing crossbow makes it possible for you to hit things without having to put your crosshairs directly over them.
