mrhelpfulman, i must say i dont like ranger but at start of hardcore game having 2 x gravity gun hireling (ranger + noble) makes it so easy that u dont have to invest on anything. after certain time i will change my hirelings if i want to be extra safe i will get a sherif and give him an auto shotgun with 1x impact mod and with its cripple skill and fast reload (1x reload mod at begining) i use duelist for engineer skill (that way u can max it pretty soon) and good killing speed with laser pistol and possibly another small gun expert noble (atm i use him for gravity gun controller) so i suggest ppl to have a ranger with duelist asap when playing hardcore

mrhelpfulman, i can continue till end of time and my heros lvl will be getting closer to 10x of day count (eg 500th day lvl 4.5k - 5k ) i can easly beat the game with my char skill and tower set up even on hardcore without of fear of losing (only the first 60 days is important then i can continue like softcore) and also anti armor bonus is fixed your damage wont me more than your weapons max damage i tested it..
so i am the king..

How far have you gotten (days) and how many times? What's the highest level gun you've had? Why do you like Ranger so much? What makes you the king?

[Best Possible Team] for hardcore easly reaching day 80 , u as rogue with bow gun , duelist with laser pistol (engineer), ranger with gravitiy gun (leader, active,da bomb), noble gravity gun (cook)
ALSO I NEVER USE CHICKENS, ROBBING MUSEUM, TAUNT, SISTERS(LOVE)
ONLY USE HAVE DINNER and PARTY (VILLA) IF YOU WANT TO BE SURE of reaching day 80
ALSO INCREASE HP OF CASTLE and MAX SANDBOXES AND MAX BLACKSMITH
NEVER USE REPAIRMAN OR LOOTER..

[Best Possible Team] You - Hunter - Bowgun. Guardian - Auto Shotun. Rogue - Laser Pistol. Noble - Auto Shotgun. With this team only you get all 16 team skills. You start with the Bowgun, and a character that gets Bow Master. You start with a Guardian, whose natural ability helps the whole team. She's also the best character to pair with a shotgun (way better than Sheriff). Noble has naturally strong power and doesn't need his weapons ugraded as often. Rogue is very important for collecting gold. Seperately, I also like Duelists - but Sheriff, Militia, Ranger, and Sniper all suck.

i am gonna write the pattern u should take if you want to beat the game easly..
Small Guns = Noble machine gun > revolver / revolver sniper > laser pistol
Shotguns = Sheriff shotgun > Auto Shotgun (When u got decent cripple strike skill)
Big Guns = Ranger machine gun > Grenade Launcher > Gravity gun (when u reach big gun skill lvl 11]
Rifles = Militias / sniper hunter rifle > Bow Gun ( As soon as you max Engineer skill and got some usefull mods in your inventory)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
[Small Guns] Revolver (best at low and very high levels) with Auto Reload, Anti Armor, Leech, Fire Rate, Auto Fire, Damage. Laser Pistol (better once accuracy skill is improved) with Damage, Anti Armor, Leech, Damage, Anti Armor, Leech.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
[Big Guns] Grenade Launcher (best early on before reloading makes gravity gun more practical. Also better early on because of less monsters) with Auto Reload, Leech, Fire Rate, Auto Fire, Fire Rate, Auto Fire. Gravity Gun (Best for AI) with Leech, Damage, Anti Armor, Leech, Damage, Anti Armor.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
[Shotguns] Auto Shotgun (overall - but increasingly superrior at higher levels) with Anti Armor, Leech, Damage, Damage, Anti Armor,Damage. Shotgun (Mostly early when aiming ad reloading is slow and so auto reload will really help) with Auto Reload, Anti Armor, Leech, Damage, Fire Rate, Anti Armor.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
mrhelpfulman, ok then i agree with you and best combination for modding weapon is 2x damage 1x anti armor 1x leech ( for first 4 slots) remaining slots varies according to weapon u use. if u have enough fire rate use damage and/or anti armor , if you want fire rate then use fire rate and auto fire, etc.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The best weapons are: [RIFLE] Bowgun (self only, not AI) with Autofire, Fire Rate, Leech, Anti Armor, Fire Rate, Auto Fire. Hunters Rifle (Best at low levels when auto reload is best, or at very high levels when firing speed is up to par) with Auto Reload, Fire Rate, Leech, Anti Armor, Auto Fire, Damage. Assault Rifle (low and mid-levels) with Damage, Anti Armor, Leech, Damage, Fire Rate, Auto Fire.

Yes, anmor damage and air damage can go over 100% normal damage. The Windbow (110%), Hunters Rifle (115%), and Rocket Launcher (110%) all start wth greater than 100% damage against one or the other. Considering that armored enemies have inherently higher HP, I thik it's wiseto do extra damage to them.

24man24, i personally use gravity gun crew for hardcore, shotgun crew for softcore where i can risk more (basically i just lvl them for important party skills then i forget using them) i also chose ranger but in high lvls cripple strike helps alot, cripple shot with shotgun (sherrif) or bow gun (hunter) does miracles but i didnt use with gravity gun (militia) buy any way since i dont like hunter hirelings i need a noble for cook skill so i stick with ranger and noble.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
i like the ranger, because the cripple strike is useless if enemys die instantly. The Ranger's rampage is nice because I have faster reloading to kill more things and i get more money. Also I don't use the gravity gun, it takes exp from my rogue. Instead i use a grenade launcher.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
24man24, anti armor mod increases damage against armored mobs beyond weapon normal damage then 1x anti armor is a must, laser pistols attack rate is pretty decent, i think its better use to 2x damage 1x anti armor 1x leech on it (and on every weapon.) Also what u think about militia big gun (gravity gun) cripple strike. is it working efficently or ranger gravity gun is better?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I use a laser pistol with 3x damage, 2x fire rate, 1x reloading. dalper31, armor penetration bonus over 100% does increase your damage against armored enemies, however i don't really like it because I have a companion with a bowgun with leach that kills armor dudes pretty well and keep me alive.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
mrhelpfulman, according to you the additional armor penetration bonus (like %137 ) also increases total damage but i think its not , are u sure about it? 6th socket is for upgrading issues
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
dalper31 - trust me, I know what I'm doing. Also, I thought you said for 6 slots to begin with? I thought originally you just left 1 out by mistake, but both of the ones here are for 5 slots. Also, reloading isn't a mod that's ever really useful.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
DoomWrath_KWLD, u can also use gravity gun against mosquitos or rocket launchers agains rats, this game is not for kids
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Also, dont buy chickens upgrade looters repairmans villa or sisters , get a class with quickeye max it with active skill and a class with cook skill, just use have dinner (3 Ap) and use all ur AP's left for weapon upgrades (mainly for ur char unless u have a hireling with reloading moded gravity gun with 6 soc) and go searchingg!!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
mrhelpfulman, laser pistol already got %80 armor damage capacity passing %100 percent doesnt affect, beside class skills also helps you full damage armored mobs, 4x Damage + 1x leech is for very high lvls , but at start u should make 2x damage + 1x leech + 1x reload + 1 antiarmor
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Dalpher31, while I agree that laser pistol is the best small gun, you're wrong to use all your mod slots on the same thing. The bonus effect of a mod decreases from 58% -> 37% -> 24% -> 16% -> 10% -> 6%. For the laser pistol I recommend Damage -> Anti Armor -> Leech -> Damage -> Anti Armor -> Damage
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
laser pistol is the best weapon try to find a 6 socket one and put damage damage damage damage leech and upgrade it paralel to your small arms skill also max aimed shot cause it gives %70 damage burst and %70 speed decrees is no problem since its firing rate is high
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Ranger is really good late game. I have 1 minigun, 2 hmgs, 1 grenade launcher and a gravity cannon. It is pretty good.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
good game, there should be option to add/increase the mod for a gun, some have 1/2/3/4,, too much game left on chance/randomization like guns, upgrades, mods..
anyways waiting for part 2
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
My party rocks me as a duelist laser pistol - a noble a ranger a militia all with gravitiy guns i let it auto play no chance of losing a game.

@mickyell14 This game has something like a New Game + Mode. If you're doing badly on a game, simply make a new game, and medal bonuses will carry over to that game.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Mickyell14 - For yourself bowgun + autofire + leech + fire rate. For team mates - hunters rifle + auto reload, revolver + auto reload, shotgun + auto reload. Never buy repairmen. Enjoy.

lol try shooting the girls head on the castle it funny XD then she gets revieved the next day and then shoot her again and again its funny
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@mickyell14 have you tried to aim for the enemy's head or get different types of teammates or even get the mercenary to help you?

...it would realy help if you could place orders: IE paying the smith for a specific item and picking it up the next day, or placing a class preference on the available recruits, as-is things are so random the majority of your runs are GOING to be fails no matter how well you shoot and manage simply because you can't get a usable weapon or mod in 20 rounds... tying administrative powers to your title rank would make a certain kind of sense and keep things random enough to force adaptability.
