This is one of the few games I constantly go back to on this site to play. It's really well done. 5 stars and 10/10 IGN

I don't know if anyone else noticed but on my 26th or so play through, I just realized if you do the battle tatorial you get an extra skill point for losing, meaning you'll have three before the first month, were as skipping only gives you 2.

nice game, even though i can't max up all the skills, this game is so good. It has multiple plots that can be discovered through replay. two thumbs up~! Ps. i like being a gravedigger holy man ~ :3

lol. I kept using the Paralyze and Poison Wave combination to get the Poison effect up to 40. Then, I use the Poison Death special to kill them. It's easy to kill very powerful mages like this. Of course, it takes time, but it's a sure win. :D

I have always been a Book of Mages fan. Thought i finished all of them years ago, but I guess I somehow missed playing this one or maybe it didn't have badges back then. Oh well, no harm to play it all over again if that's the case. It is a great game, don't mind replaying it at all!!

I usually draw the line in games where I need to break out a notepad and calculate the attack patterns out to see whether or not my stats are high enough to win. This game certainly broke the mold, in that case. But seriously, I'm gonna need a new notepad.

I love this game to death, but sometimes the fights are such BS. Having to fight mages that are almost always better than you is stupid. Having to deal with a poison wave into a paralyze is impossible to counter.

this game is incredibly interesting,seriously i would play this if you removed the fighting and put a price on it.poison water is to easy though,if get a maxed poison wave and poison death you can beat the strongest mage in the time it took to right this(1 minute)

hmmmm, 7 playthroughs, same clan every time, still want to play more, got all acheivments, got best ending, again again again! SEQUEL!

Chaos Desert is the best clan hands down, that reduce special to the bolts with Aditional Attacking Bolts rips apart.
Then I like burning hill when u combine all that attack into one huge bolt , u also have a nice mana shield.
Dark Wood and Great Sea are the worst imo, Dark wood shit clan spells and great sea Attack is the better defense

Poison Wave, Paralyze, Poison Wave, Paralyze, Poison Wave, Paralyze, and so on. Then trigger their poison to instakill them. A bit broken.

Trick to getting all 3 badges in one playthrough, be a neutral mage and grab all the skill points you can find, item's are secondary, it is imperative you maxe out your skills. (NOTE) This was with Jiraiya, The Pervy Sage!!!!! of Chaos Desert.

Poison water is borderline OP because poison wave + paralyse prevents attacks (which cripples burning hill and chaos desert). Poison death destroys 2 clan without removal (ice land, great sea) while dark wood is the only one that has a slim chance of winning with trade life and silence.

poison is not op, I have not actually played poison yet, but darkwoods damage reduce and then overpower+ life swap is much better, you would need a poison stack of about 30 to efficiently kill someone, darkwood with a stack of 10 will have base damage x number of shots- number of shots so late - game hitting for about 300 pierce + life drain which owns

bug(?): damage absorbing clan magic from the Great sea clan (AD) is unable to display numbers greater then 999 porperly (only 3 digits are shown)

It sucks that the enemies regenerate mana every turn even if they don't rest and you don't. It makes it impossible to win most of the fights because you always have only half of the mana available to everyone else.

How to win the game step by step
1: Choose poison
2:Get Paralyze and poision wave
3: Max those up then max mana then other stuff
4: Poision wave + Paralyze repeat

There's a glitch with the audio that makes it randomly play several of the same sound clip on top of each other at random times. RIP ears

Glitch: Press the skill that does +5 damage, then the x2 damage one, then take away +5 then take away x2 then repeat, eventually you can get your damage up to the thousands... use massive bolt to make it unblockable.
