@Dedwynde man, this game is perfectly balanced... maybe you do not understand the strategies and uses involved in each clan and fight. I frankly find the later enemies to be the easier once you know which weakneses you can exploit with each class.

This was a great game, my only problem with it is the numerous literary errors and poor grammar throughout the entire game, making reading a very painful process. Aside from that, pretty good game.

Good little game but I feel it has some significant balance issues and frankly dont know how people have beaten it multiple times, let alone at all. I can cruise though the game until getting near then end, but then, even with all abilities maximized and higher mana and life totals, I just cant win. Enemies all throw more bolts than I can at maximum, and all their attacks cause burn and sap mana on hit. The ability to only choose one of either the attacks or defense buttons at first, and seemingly at random, is very annoying. And the to use defence at all is pretty pointless as it costs the same amount of mana as attacking and cant gain any greater numbers. Also, every time I've faced an enemy that uses poison, if I can manage to get enough special to purge it, I automatically fail the fight. I like the (limited) story and ability to choose a path but after months of trying just to get past the end run, with no success, Im done. good game but needs work. 3/5

As I mentioned about a week ago, I'm taking this game, giving it grammar, and am writing a book out of it. It has in-depth characters (It follows six, one from each clan), aforementioned correct grammar, and shows how they all react and aspire to find their own way through the Dark Times. If any of you want to read, private message me your gmail and I can share on Google Docs. ^_^ (Battles start slow with the basic format in game, but I get MEGA creative by the Young Mage Contest, where every move is unique and not even turn based anymore).

Is it strange for me to look back and see that I actually got a top comment? Is it even stranger that I have been writing an in-depth story with deep characters that follows six people, one from each clan as they aspire and find their own way through the Dark Times. God dang, I am so weird... :/

How about the option of playing around in the game after the story has been completed? It seems fun to poke around the game with your character being powerful as you progress.

i kill the number 1 mage and later on 7 of the top 10 mages in one day yet they still dont see me as the number 1 mage? wtf?

i hate how i beat the great mage and when watching the story unfold i still refer to battlebeard as the great mage...

Really great, I found myself playing the game for two hours. I admit that the storyline is fluent and fun, fights require strategy... I really liked that, thanks developer(s).

This game is awesome! I totaly agree with Gigaminc, with Chaos Desert you can absolutly destroy anything. In late game with burn damage, a normal bolt can do 250 damage :)

I would say, 22james22, that the most OP clan is Chaos Desert. I usually play it like this. Before the Young Mage Contest (or whatever it's named), I make sure that both high and low attack is at max level, as well as the clan special magic that decreases opponents special. I also try to fill up the Additional High and Low attack. I usually also spends some points into power, trying to get it to level 3.
After this, it's basicly just getting "Twice" and clan special "Additional high attacking blots and low attacking bolts" (try to fill this one up as quick as possible) and "Burning". If you get these early on, you basicly have what you need to win the entire game - as long as you also has enough mana, power and health. Also try to get the Desert Orb as quick as possible

When I played it for the first time , I put in any response and hardly knew how to play, some months later i come back and i'm now loving this game XD

I was wondering how a game like this could even be as addicted as everyone says...well I beat the game, again.... anywayss I think I ruined the fun of my first run, beat everyone on my first try as chaos desert mage, even hermit guy, prob the ez best starter class.

I think my favorite part is when you have 50 enemies and 14 allies, and are pretty much fighting your way through it by yourself...without the ability to train or anything at all between, not even saving.

Great game and I Think more developers should take the example of nobstudio. However, events need to happen a bit more. And the events should be randomized because every time you play battlebeard dies. But a spectacular game
