I made the mistake of leveling bolt damage before bolt count, I can't hit any bolt in the young mage contest lol but I was blitzing the final battle with the Absorb Damage :) good one

Have been coming back to this game for years now, and only just managed to kill the hermit for the first time by cycling through poison wave/paralyze for 15 minutes.
One of the best ones on this website, 10/10.

so i was in the black robes and we had just captured waveheart and i helped protect him... however right after i was told to fight him in icelands arena to get a higher rank on top ten.... just a fun little nitpick i found

I'm working on a spin-off of this game. Won't be able to upload it here because I don't have a sufficient knowledge of any compatible languages, but I will be able to play it and maybe distribute the game somewhere!

Such a fun game. Really needs a sequel and I'm glad I'm not the only one still wanting one after all this time. Nobstudio creator person, if you're still checking the comments from time to time... can we get part 3, please? For real?

I once played a tweaked version and crashed the game by defeating the Mage at the beginning who was supposed to beat you.

Seems like NobStudios has given up on this title, which is surprising. It is certainly one of the most underrated games. Despite it's many grammar flaws, this game still manages to be one of the best RPG's, it easily competes with popular titles like Sonny. Definitely deserves a sequel. I would pay money for a vastly improved book of mages 3, including a well thought out story and possibly more in depth magic.

And even if you'd win that one unwinnable fight (@ilcapo) you end up being defeated by some cheaty trick (in the story line) so for the story defeat is important in that one fight. BUt it's indeed just that one fight

I agree with ilcapo, just became grand mage as a member of great sea(absorb damage is a really powerful ability, as is mana leak). Possible with any clan using the right build.

Frankly the only unwinnable fight is the second encounter you get on the game, and it's designed to be so, every other encounter can be won if you specced right

Amazing game! absolute 10/10. my only issue is unwinnable fights, such as shiverhorror near the end without crazy items/counter attack/Chaos Desert.
Seriously. Unwinnable fights aren't good, because winning or losing drastically changes the story.

I got "Satan" with a (-285) reputation, is there a complete list on all the titles out there? I'd like to know if there were titles for even lower reputations.

I replayed it again as Poison and Chaos Fire. So much fun!
But it seems as long as you ally yourself with either black or white robes, your choices to do evil/good things do not impact your final reputation much. I was a white robe who did every heinous thing i could and was still counted as "Very Good" at the end.

This is one of the best games i have ever played, and ive been playing it since 2010 almost one time (or 2)per year , really love this game <3
