Now, I've beaten the game the normal way, but I wanted to see what would happen if you managed to win that first fight against the poison guy. Except, for whatever reason, this developer stores his values in the most ridiculous way possible. I think he stores them on the bit level instead of as ints O.o

@mika Wow go back to playing hello kitty and watching barney you child, if you only played it for five seconds then you have not even gotten to the gameplay.

You beat me once, but i wasn't at best shape then. I saw how you fight 5 times at row, so it totally fair if i challenge you NOW.

Found a glitch/exploit. first you have to be burning hill and get the attack power for both the clan and the higher lvl then once you can use both, start swapping between the two. it will increase the base damage and if you keep repeating you will end up with even higher till every bolt can one deal one thousand if you are patient enough. GG game

I'm still playing this and it's 2017 lol it's a fantastic game I really hope they will make or made a sequel I didn't check but hope so it is an amazing game and yet it is such a simple one to I wish there were more games like this

Poison Water is almost invincable against direct attacks. Now that I have beaten the game for the first time is time to try other calns.

This game is amazing. Seriously, it has so much potential! I Remember playing this game back in 2012. It still holds up very well! This is probably my favorite game on kongregate, no joke. This game has everything, an Intuitive and deep combat system; Engaging and interactive story, multiple branching choices/ endings; amazing in-depth clans, with their own unique abilities; A surprisingly good art style for 2012 and HOLY SHIT THE REPLAYABILITY! I absolutely LOVE this game and I wish there was a sequel. The only minor problems this game has is: The spelling mistakes could be fixed up, it can be a little hard for new players to grasp at first and there should be an auto save, because goddamn I lost my progress twice from my ignorance of not manually saving. Besides that, Outstanding game man. 10/10 for me

if you think that the game is to hard, read these tips
*spoiler alert*
1. try playing “book of mages; the chaotic period” first. it is much simpler and easier
2.use the high attack and low attack higher magics as your first two higher magics.
3. ignore defense at the very beginning of the game. for some tribes, it is just not required. it fits into ice lands strategies very well though
3. dark robes are esier then white robes.
4. chaos desert is the esiest. max out high attack, low attack, and high attack and low attack higher magics. (upgrade health and manna abit while you are at it)after that, get the clan special magic that allows you to create even more attacking bolts
4. after you get high and low attack higher magics, counter attack higher magics are good for applying special effects.
5. explore cities and fight in the arena instead of mana cave.
mana cave gives one skill point, fights give one skill point if you lose, and two if you win.

This game is too complicated for me because I'm stupid, I don't understand how battles work and I don't understand why the higher-ups are sending me out on important missions. I have caused countless deaths and suffering because of my weak fighting skills. I am sad. But it is still a good game for those who actually understand how things work.

Every year I say, that's the last time, and yet I have been coming back to this game every year for 6 years. It's replay-ability is incredible, and the story line actually changes. I love it, I would honestly rate it with my most favorite games, among The Binding of Isaac, DoTa 2, Overwatch, and Ori and the Blind Forest. Thanks for all the great times Nob, praying my kids get to experience something like this :-)

What makes this game stand out compared to most other internet games, is that it's just as fun the second and third time you play it.

The strategy I used as Burning Hill mage; single run through, got all three Kong achievements: start by using low attacks (always). Follow by a high counter. Get additional high and low shots max. Get a lot of mana and around 300+ life. Get mana shield, combined attack, and burn. Only enemy who gave me trouble: Burning Hill clan leader, but with enough mana you can overpower him.

iluvtrolls: its been a looong time since i played this, but i just came back for the nostalgia as a burning hill mage.. but i know from my times playing before, every mage type can become the great mage, its just a matter of different strategies (my burning hill mage used a "let them attack me so i can counterattack and kill them from burns" tactic.. worked pretty well)

Ok I am a poison water mage. I am in the fifth battle in the young mage competition. The opponent has cast mana leak and all I can do is just rest to get 8 points then they drain 12. I have won the other 4 battles with ease. I have a lot more health and mana than my opponent. This does not seem balanced to me. :(

How do I get the string for history? I wouild like to be able to keep more than 6 history files. Though I could just take a bunch of screenshots and group them.

I probably won the game some hundred times meanwhile. something new from the same developer would be probably great. but we don't know, if he's still into programming games. good devs tend to get some real job one day.

to every commentator that thinks any tribe is more overpowered than the other: no! Every tribe has its way of overpowering others.
For dark wood, increase special, when u r defending u will find that u hv more bolts which u can then apply curse on. Repeat this twice (sometimes u don't need to) and ur opponent will then hv the weakest bolts ever, shove in their face a combined bolt and u will be victorious. Against poison water, either hv a lot of health or trade life with v little health. It's funny when after they trim down ur health u get their full health and they get that v little health u hv left. The silence skill is also handy. This is just dark wood. Explore!

Hello developer, as a fan of this game I would love to see it on steam greenlight. Of course since this game is already f2p it would be free on steam but it could increase the game's popularity. On top of that you could add dlc with story after the main story and more groups to choose from and fight.
