I would say that burning hill are overpowered as you can get +600 damage with the combined attack, but I think that any mage used right can easily overpower other mages.

Chaos desert is so overpowered, you can beat anything easily with attack, additional high attack, additional lower attack, additional higher and lower attack, reduce special, and burn. You can even easily kill the hermit.

At first glance I thought 'oh this is a fun game', but the depth of the story line is pretty amazing, and it gives you huge range depending on what you decide you want to achieve in each game. It is nearly impossible to play it the same way twice! Very well crafted, and I'm loving it!!!!

This is an awesome game, it improved on the first in EVERY way!
Though I would have liked for everyone to remember you throughout the conversations. If you're a White Robe and an Ice Land mage, when the Ice Land Magic Master comes up to you after one of the events (I think while getting the antidote), he treats you as if it's the first time you've met. There are other similar cases too.
Even with that, and a few other small flaws, I still love this game. 5/5 Great job!

5/5 for sure. one of, if not the pest RPGs on Kongregate. One thing that bothers me though: chaos desert is WAY to powerful. Twistpus (one of their higher leveled mages) can do double the amount of attacks than I can do at level 177. It ruins he ability to chaos what character you want to play, if you want to win. please level them down somewhat so it is possible to live whatever life you want to live in the game. :)

Just for fun(after beating the game three time) I restart and deliberately lost every duel. I spent every month training, joined neither faction, and refused to interfere in anything or collect any items. At the end the Grand mage challenged me and I whupped his ass. Afterward I went on to become this legendary hermit. This game rocks!!!

The most powerful clan of mages is definitely the Ice Land mages. They can freeze opponents whenever whenever they try to defend, and they can freeze them when they can't handle an attack. The big 600 uber combo shot at the end is no big deal, plus they can recover health and mana with another of their skills. Their only real competition is the chaos desert mages, with their skill to reduce power, they can force a stall war. It's remedied though by the fact you can insta-kill an opponent if you have 20 freeze points on them. Essentially, Ice Land mages are the best.

I think this game needs a little balancing, but overall the storyline isnt bad and once you get the hang of it its pretty fun the only thing that i dislike is how once you get to a certain point in your strength you cant learn anymore spells and it stunts your power.

Why does everytime some say "+ this "or "+ that"they automatically get like 90 +'s....oh and hedic dont hate on the game dude.yes they are strong but THATS the point man.you need to think about what you are doing not just spam.i have played it like 8 times and i ALWAYS win.so do 97% of people here.everything on this game is really fun.the only thing that pissed me off was the hermit dude lol.what an A!!!

blood mage is soo OP :P can lower there attack power to 1 each shot. and combine all of his into 1 doing like 360+ damgage. and if by some chance you actually start to lose. just use TRADE LIFE and ur winning again.

It's a great game. Highly addictive. But what i miss in this game is a better availability to explore. I may be lucky once to spot for example the Grave digger.

Hmmm.. Mages of Chaos Desert (attack mages) are quite powered.. The only one that can somewhat counter them is the Mages of Burning Hill with their giant bolt thing. (that works by power not count).

I would advise everyone not to play as a poison character. It takes ages to beat anyone good. On many of the last characters I had to press the same two buttons 20+ times in a row to slowly whittle down the opponents health. I played as five of the races (not iceland) and found the blood and burning hill clans to be the most fun

Heh, I have a Uber Combo myself. Lots of attacks + Burning (Chaos special). That oneshots anything. Is countered by Absorb attack though. Mana shield just delays for 1 round.

Way to kill anyone if you have enough mana: Play with a poison guy, max out poisonous wave and get paralyze. Cast wave then paralyze, repeat. Poison should increase by 1 everytime. You can kill the mysterious hermit with this tactic without getting injured, but you need 890 mana to do it.

Great Sea is in invincible. No clan is. I've beat the game with every clan, twice. It is possible to have individual duels that you cannot possibly win. But that's a matter of your gameplay up to that point, not just the clan combination. If you're failing the young mage contest, you're doing something wrong. Try spending your points differently. I assure you it can be won with any clan.

I loved this game. The thing thats so great about it is that it has alot of replay value & u can become so many different kinds of mages & choose different sides & theres so many different quests & things to do besides the completely predictable & oh so typical "go here & do this task" objective which most rpg's have. This is excellent.
