Also, good to see that such a buggy game has BotD. Many times the defender has ATTACKED on the very first turn without me being able to defend or attack at all.

This game is as unbalanced as you can get, especially when it constantly forces you into a strict progression and STILL faces you against mages that can kick your butt up and down the street. You need feel super powerful or epic as a mage.

took me a while to figure out that after you've defeated everyone and explorering all the areas in all the cities without finding anything new, you just have to wait a couple of years before some battles are triggered and you can become great mage. +1 to help others understand this

Took me a few tries to get a start where I wasn't getting my butt kicked. Then I totally forgot about the whole ranking thing lol.

Time for my revenge Corruptor! Cutting off your hands now! (Enters Arena) Oh hi Corruptor, maybe hand removal wasn't a good idea...

Meh. There needs to be a quit fight button. I'm fighting a guy who's put a mana leak of 12 on me, and resting only regenerates 10. I'm out of mana and I can't generate any more by resting. My opponent is also low on mana and keeps casting defensive spells, even though I can't attack. He's taking a few life points off me every few turns so my completely unavoidable defeat is taking for freakin' ever.

Easiest way to the badge: choose a poison mage and get the clan magic that does a poison wave of 8. Level up your H and L attack, HP and magic. Defend by attacking and attack with the wave, whenever possible. You'll win the young mage competition with extreme cheese from the poison. This game is so totally unbalanced, but that makes it easy to win the otherwise ridiculously difficult / borderline impossible BOTD.

I want to like this game, I really do, but I just do not understand the combat mechanics. I can cast HA whenever I want, but not LA. Even when the enemy has more than 5 freezes on him, I still cannot cast Regeneration. AP and C are only available sometimes; they are so rare that I can go whole battles without them being available. If I know why these things are as they are then I would love this game; but I do not understand these mechanics. I am not going to rate this game, because I would have to be honest and give 3 stars. It does not deserve that. The fact that I do not understand the mechanics may be (is probably) my fault.

No, screw this game. Full health, attack poised, other mage froze me and I couldn't defend myself. Tried every strategy suggested. This is BS.

I got all 3 badges in first play. Here is what i do
1.I Choose Chaos Desert Clan
2.Try to max high bolts and low bolts first (choose attack only, defense are useless) Dont forget about mana! or you will end up have no mana left
3.Get Twice first ,then Decrease special , and additional high/low bolt , Burn these skills are extremely useful. Especially Negate and decrease special
4.spend some in HP(but not too much) or you will end up lose poison water mages as they can inflict 10 damage straightly to you (about 100 is okay for the early game, but u can increase more if u dont have mana problem)
5.What about becoming the great mage?? choose neutral, get alot of reputaton, defeat both white robe mages and black robemages(spare their lives!) in Great mage election. You can plus this if youu think it is helpful

No, Deatharr. Dark Wood isn't that overpowered. It doesn't have a defense against frozen death and poisoned death(or poison in general); and trade life gives the opponent one more chance to kill. Without being silenced.

Great! On top of that, this game caused my computer to blue screen and do an immediate hard reset for the first time in months. Well done, guys (slow sarcastic clap)... 1/5 just for that. I only wish it was possible to give games a negative ranking.

Is it even possible to win a single battle in this game??? No matter how much I upgrade my skills, at best I can stalemate in the first 2 attacks and then I get slaughtered. If it makes any difference, I'm playing as a member of the Great Sea clan. Definitely not the best choice of games for the BOTD...

The trade life spell from Dark Wood is incredibly overpowered (not that I'm complaining)! Its a great spell to imagine too -- a mage just taking incomprehensible amounts of physical damage and pain, and right about when he or she is on the brink of death, the mage suddenly casts his or her trump card. All of a sudden, the tables are turned and all the physical pain and damage of the caster is immediately transferred upon their opponent. Then, in just a single cast and muttering of a spell, the once mighty opponent lies defeated. At that point, the mage might as well be invincible, no matter the circumstances of the enemy. With a spell like that, Dark Wood probably could take on the rest of the 5 clans.

Best clans in my opinion: Great Sea (a little hard at the start though) and Chaos Desert (upgrade this one for full attacks and you're done). Dark wood is very good too, but it needs more patience than the others.

There is something very wrong with this game

Why should I be forced to defend because the enemy is attacking with a single spell. if I attacked instead I could counter it and deal massive damage.

I was pretty bad at this game and at the end I was executed and everyone died... but because the creator made it so easy to keep going and enjoy the game even if you weren't very powerful, I feel like they deserve 5/5! I had a really fun time, and I'll probably come back soon and see if I can win!

So, the war is end by the final battle, the Black/White Robe win. Now I ask, how's the town crier? I haven't heard anything about him after the battle :D

So, i Defeat all the mages on Book of Mages, defeat the Mysterious Hermit who is one of the 6 legendary mages who wrote the book of mages, i'm respected by everyone in the game. Yet, when i win the White Mage election, Flamier complains because he thinks "I'm not skillful enough to lead them"...

Great Sea made victory pretty easy - mana leak solved most of my problems (just have to survive until they're empty) and absorb damage handled the rest.
