SOPA in Swedish can mean "piece of trash", "utterly useless/incompetent person" (slang) or "to sweep" (with a broom). The slang version is the one that best describes the act, which will force the rest of the world to more or less ban US from the Internet. Not least because a lot of fraud today is done by DNS (name server system) poisoning, which can be combated using secure-dns, which will make the technical attack on DNS proposed by this legislation ineffective, which means US citizens will be comitting a felony for securing their bank transactions. Can't say you were good neighbours all of the time, and definitely not the last ten years, but still, it is sad to see a once great nation fall into decline so rapidly.

Isn't this ironic given even Kongregate gives the specific example of not being able to use mario in your uploaded games? Like, you hardly need SOPA to have this effect - this sort of legal shenanigans is already happening.

@SirNiko you are right that the government wouldn't censor the blocks... they would censor the entire kongregate website. ANY arbitrary reference to a copyrighted item (i.e. a Coke bottle in the background) would be means for total censorship by the US government.

The SOPA act is a direct violation to people's right to freedom of knowlege and information, And for that violation the United States government is a disgrace to the land of the free, The free that every United States soldier has fought or died for. The United States government is essentually telling the people of the United States that they are free to do as the government tells them.

Simple in main concept, strong in meaning. Love it. This i hate to say is actually what video games were made for. A fun way of turning stress into a more managable way. But obviously we still dont forget it in the first place. Thanks bro.
