beat lvl 13 then accidentally clicked return to menu.. and clicked new game cuz i thought it said continue game.
.....
dang.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
lol, okay this game is a lot easier once you beat the first level, cause then you have multiple spells available, and dont have to rely on one color

cannot beat level 1 after 10 tries, can never get the peices i need since i only have 1 spell, and enemy cheats by getting extra turns when you cannot
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
impossible game even at level 1 because every single turn the enemy gets at least 3 turns in a row, and once got 10 turns in a row. -5/5 for cheating enemy

this is a knowckoff of a psp game called puzzle quest. the only difference is the graphics on this are worse and puzzle quest has a story line. to get another turn u need to match four instead of three of a kind

A nice game, but needs improvements:
1) change how to get extra turns, it's nothing but luck, which the enemy seems to have a lot of.
2) Better grammer
3) A way to save progress? I chose continue, and ended up at the beginning. -_-
4) And, as Ankhboy said, a story. Random battles? Why?

I thought it was a good start but would benefit from a lot of improvements. 1) Mute button. 2) A story. 3) An english tester to correct grammar. 4) More spells to add variety to battles. 5) Some original artwork. I'd like to see more games like this, but better.

Also Aurora Feint's artwork... Copying Puzzle Quest and somone else's artworks is just too much.
Plus, I'm full of PQ... :P

first off - kudos for the graphics work, in most cases far above what you'd normally see. Music and sfx are ok as well (though you need a mute option or a volume slider).
However, if you're going to clone a game, especially one as popular as Puzzle Quest, you need to make sure you look at the small details. For example, when you make a match the movement of the symbols is REALLY blocky and gives the game a very "laggy" feel. Look at any match 3 game out there by a major player (Puzzle Quest, Popcap, etc). The symbols move much more smoothly. Yes this takes some work (I've made a M3 engine in Flash, so I know it's not a trivial exercise), but it will really help the feel of the game.
Not that I am against clones or anything, but I'd prefer that a clone improve on the original game in some way, and I don't see that here.

When loading the grid for level 10 enemy the runes didn''t load. Quit doesn't work from this state, though it highlights on mouseover and the spells show their mouseovers.

Two words: Mute Button.
No auto save I'm fine with, but the mute button has to be there. Otherwise, a fairly good game. 3/5

Oh hey man, nice job stealing the artwork. I was even playing FFH2 when I noticed that, jeez, no skill. Flagged game too.

geez, no first tutorial, trying to figure out the game, and the level 1 guy is just pwning non stop. I mean usually level 1 is a cakewalk but this is just insane..

Decent clone of the genre. Now try adding some more spells, changing the grid layout, and giving each enemy a personality. The pilfered artwork is a good way to make a first attempt. But do try to get original art. Otherwise you might be open to copywrite infringement charges.

i really dont know what to make of this. everything is stolen and you made the fatal mistake of not including a mute button but the artificial stupidity is nice. the computer doesnt always make the best move, sometimes it even ignores extra turns. im giving it a 2/5.
