The game had potential because it has relatively good graphics and game engine.
However, gameplay is a letdown, especially with the item collection levels. The issue with item collection isn't a matter of difficulty, it's a matter of stupidity. Collecting items by shooting ropes makes absolutely no sense.

The game reminds me of Stormwind a lot, which is a good thing, as that's a good game, but it invites unflattering comparisons, unfortunately. The upgrades don't bring much to the game, some of the missions feel gimmicky (catch the sheep comes to mind, and that one with the gold mine smack dab in the middle of the way), and it needs more weapon variety. The shotgun is useless, and the basic gun fires slow-going bullets. Ammo on the other two guns is too limited. With a little fine-tuning, this game could be good.

5 for graphics

This game is pretty good, but it could be way better. More polished might be the phrase I'm looking for. Visually it's beautiful, but there are balance issues, and the game is confusing at times.

fun game, some things nicely difficult, some things could ramp up a bit farther. More upgrades would be great, or some special. I ran out of points to spend too quickly. Still good for what it is, 5/5.

Alright, while this game is at time enjoyable, at others it's just...unplayable. There are some really obvious annoyances littered all around that alone are just annoyances, but together just continually pop up until you finally say "Screw this". Up to this point I've just dealt with all of em'. Now, yet again, I find myself at a basically unplayable mission; the windmill's directly next to the side of the stage that the workers have to go to, and the huge blimps with 5 bombs on them that simply use all their bombs to carpet bomb the worker before any of the ship is even onscreen. Then the next worker runs right on out to the exact same place and the same thing happens. Even if there were no other enemies, which isn't the case, it is literally impossible to, within the time between when it spawns offscreen and when it bombs and kills the worker, kill the enemy, and you can't shoot off the bombs. These are the sorts of things I'm talking about.

What the hell? This game doesn't actually save your progress, I played about two hours ago and now I come back and find nothing has been saved. Also, why don't my turrets fire in the 3rd or 4th mission where you defend the gold? There are no friendlies in that mission so it should be okay for them to fire.

while you have updated the balance is still off, I think the only salvation for this would be a balance redesign and then resubmit it.

Yeah, evidently there is new glitchs in the game...for the first boss, he didnt even show up and i auto won the level, for the defend the gold mine mission, not ONE thief balloon showed up...somethings wrong there.

The repair the turrets mission is broken. I repaired two turrets and that's the objective, but it said mission failed. :(

This game shows that the developer has some really good potential but I have to wonder if it was play tested. Some things just make it frustrating at times, like having bombs dropped from off the screen when you're trying to protect the repair blimp, and having your turrets shooting the sheep and gold. And the dialogue runs out of steam pretty quickly (shocked).
But all in all, it's still a mostly enjoyable, lighthearted stormwinds derivative.

great game :) i absolutely love the gameplay. remember that shotgun and sniper have two modes with separate ammo. that way you basically dont need to use the first gun. also if u are sstuck grind some previous levels
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Things to remember 1. The shotgun and the sniper have two modes. simple click them again to switch modes. 2. The snipers second mode shoots through everything but also hurts allies. 3. Different modes recharge simultaneously, so shoot shotgun, press 2 to switch modes and shot. Rinse and repeat, this will carry you through the game. 4. Read the objectives because some levels you have to get objects in the basket and other levels you have to avoid it.

Weapons need some serious re-balancing. The shotgun does absolute garbage for damage, the mini-gun has no ammo to speak of and the sniper... Has no use. Period. The primary gun is by far the best and most powerful gun of them all. Rarely do I stop using it save the very infrequent time I need to pop a shotgun shell out to disarm a few bombs.

hmm, seems rather unbalanced I keep running out of ammo, and the aiming absolutely sucks, angular aiming is impossible for some people, myself included. I mean no tutorial I was guessing the first time. sorry though it shows a lot of work went into it, it is just not good. 2/5

i hate it when you all make a good game then ruin it by making a silly sheep mission that takes way too many tries to beat if you can at all, thus ruining the game and now we cant enjoy the rest of the game cause we cant pass the level.

Oh, and you should click on "Briefing" before every mission. Otherwise, you will be massively confused about what is going on there ^^ All in all, I found the game well-balanced and entertaining. It could use more upgrades that help you in battle, or alternatively just one expensive superweapon where everyone knows that it will make things a lot easier. I especially liked the steampunk theme, and the graphics are really neat. Keep up the good work! :)

Weapons have different firing modes, accessible by pressing the according number a second time. That means the shotgun (hotkey "2") can shoot fire balls or rather tame projectiles. Normally you want the strongest firepower, but there are missions where the lesser mode is a huge advantage. For example, the weak shotgun makes the police mission much easier, since you are not allowed to destroy the balloons. Also keep in mind that the baloons exist "outside" the map shortly before they are visible. So if you shoot at the correct moment, they will drop their load outside the visible area. The police boats will not even have a chance to catch them.

After playing the first few levels I have NO idea what I'm supposed to be doing, I'm just shooting at everything. Are the balloons with gold good guys or bad guys? Do I shoot everything or certain things? Do I let the things take the gold or not? There is no explanation when I click a mission.

Ah man, the text on the intro goes by way too fast! I like to build atmosphere, I don't wanna speed read these things!

Next complain: The mission where you're supposed to protect ppl repairing windmills (or something like that), you're given zero chance to prevent the ships that attack exactly where your repairmen stands from outside the screen.

A few things that are not very obvious, but help a lot once you figure them out;
Each gun has a separate cool-down, so you can rapidly switch from weapon to weapon to fire faster. It helps make the shotgun not useless.
The shotgun and sniper upgrades count as different guns, with their own ammo. You press the 2 or 4 button respectively to switch to the more badass one.
And you have to press the briefing button to have the dialog at the end of the levels make any sort of sense whatsoever.

Your autoguns shoot down the cargo you're trying to get into the rafts. Makes those missions rather painful and all about luck instead of skill. :/

>>>Flag od the fatherland and american flag? I thought that this is about Celestial Kindgom?
>>>Another political game
People do you hear about these words as a pastiche? Humor, for example? Me of course very pleased that someone thinks of the political game. But, honestly ... This is ridiculous. Or maybe when you watch your TV... maybe you can believe in all what speaks Zombie-Box? American flag... just americen flag. No more. :D

Projectiles are way too slow. Seeing those shells fly slowly in their wide arc is almost painful. We eventually get a weapon that actually shoots where we point it (sniper), with semi-decent speed, but with so little ammo we still have to bother with abysmal weaponry. Oh, and whoever pilots those vehicles to collect sheep and gold should be fired. Fired at. A stationary installation would be highly preferable.

meh game. the knock items down quests are a pain. Quest 22 is impossible as far as I can tell. Doing find knocking stuff to the ground, and not blowing up balloons, then my planes come though and blow up the balloons 'failed mission'
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It starts off seemingly interesting but then soon become ridiculous. The sheep and gold bar levels are silly and annoying. The enemies don't seem to know what they are doing. Very limited ammo, exceptionally weak weapons, and very broken turret mechanics. To top that off, a ludicrous storyline which seems to have no logical connection with the opening. 2/5 Why don't I just play Stormwind instead?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Even with turrets off, the sheep mission is too annoying. Perhaps I should have spent my upgrades on the castle or something, but I can't shoot the guys attacking me because the sheep are in the way, and my gun is so annoying to aim, with too much arc, that I rarely can free the sheep at the right time. At least make it so that the balloons carrying the sheep die in one shot so I only have to hit the balloon. My fully upgraded gun should shoot a faster bullet with less arc. It's ridiculous that I have 4 bullets in the air at once, and I have to aim so far above what I want to hit.
