Under rating threshold (show) No pay2win - thank you. It shouldn't be the exception, but now it sadly is. The number of cards and effects available are pretty nice. The initial decks are pretty hit or miss. I would recommend you tell the player up front the initial decks are fairly weak. It could use a little more balancing. Some of the ship abilities and costs along with their attack and defense can be fairly obscene. I don't recall the names, but compare some of the lime green ships' power and abilities with purple's. Purple is very much a build-up endgame race, I get it, but they need to get to the endgame. Lime green can faceroll a lot of opponents with cheap, strongish ships plus lots of disables and status reductions.

Under rating threshold (show) Sometimes it is a little bit unfair :p (Like the AI playing sabotage multiple times and using relentless assault in the early stages of the battle). I 5/5'd this a long time ago, but usually when I come back to game I rated highly they are a bit disappointing. Not this though, this game is awesome :D

Under rating threshold (show) Holy crap, I just played the weirdest deck ever. In human campaign, this guy used deck exhaustion to a whole new level. 47 rounds. An RV deck with nothing but Support and Nanobot Carriers. When it ended, on the field was a support carrier with 37/92. Think about that for a sec, 37 ATTACK, TWO HIT K.O! Ilias help us, were all dead meat.

Under rating threshold (show) Not a huge fan of the fact that powerup's are not preserved between campaigns even on the same species line. Still a 5/5 game, but just for the sense of progress I would have appreciated the campaign powerups being preserved . . . Sure you'd become godlike by the time you finished all the campaigns . . . but how is that a bad thing?

Under rating threshold (show) Nice game still a few things, 1) Computers seems to always go first why? 2) Computer cards always seems to have just the right mix while I am miss matched 3) yes it should be random but why is it that for 9 rounds all I get is ships or structures 4) It should be challenging but not unbeatable, compute starts out with 3 ships and a lot of energy while I have to fight (again draws seem miss matched) 5) DO not just answer random I have even switched my deck to have the same number of ships and structures and no extras. Still all I seem to pull the same type for 5 to 6 rounds in a row that is not random

1. it's random : 50% chance to go first. 2. computer has on average 12 structures in a deck of 30 cards. 3. smaller decks will have better odds overall of giving you a better mix of cards in your draws. More cards = more randomness. 4. difficulty varies wildly, you can even apply deck mods to your own deck to give yourself some benefits (turn on PRO MODE in the quick fight setup screen).

Under rating threshold (show) Okay, so, the game is nice. Nice enough that I made an account for the sole purpose of making a good and proper review of it. I like the flavor of it, the subtle but well considered gamut of various sci-fi concepts. I like the variety in actual game mechanics used by the sides, and the way that they can overlap to a degree. Normally, I dislike when turn based strategy games turn aggressively unfair on harder difficulty levels to increase the challenge, but here it kind of feels like a logical thing. The enemy starts with two resistance and three retaliation because their baseship is frankly better than my own, and I should adjust my tactics and armaments accordingly. I also approve of the whole concept of the laboratory and the ability to improve and refine cards through it: it gives a sense of progression to the game, even if a given improvement is something so simple as adding two hp to a base or ship. In short you have made a great game, and you have cause to be proud of it.
