I'm looking into creating games for mobile devices. For Android this is relatively straightforward, i just need to buy an android device first. For ipad, i'd need an apple computer to be able to build ipad versions and then an actual ipad to test stuff and then a license to be able to deploy to ipad. This costs more than i earned thus far from my game so it's not going to happen unless people help me out with funding. What's the point of the New Intel card? It gives a card, but it is a card itself, so there's no net gain. And it might give back its energy cost, but it might not.

@Gatrog: your comment makes no sense. His BASE took damage. The ship was already dead from the ambush. And before you say something else stupid, retaliate doesn't damage bases.

@Gatrog: I take it you didn't even try to blast your own ship with ambush, It works as I said, if I shoot my own ship with ambush level 2, MY base takes 1 damage, Just retested in a quick fight with an enemy WITHOUT retaliation, he's base take no damage, yet mine takes 1 damage.

@Sleepingill : The opposing base certainly had 1 retaliation. So you damage it for 1 (or 0 if it has some resistance), and it return 1 damage to your ship.

This game rocks! It's deep and fractions are very different, all of them offer different strategy. Plus there are combinations. At first i didn't like the graphics and lot of text, but after a while i got used to it and now i'm playing for 2 weeks every day and i'm still uncovering new options and cards. Great!

I played a level 2 ambush on my own crippled ship, and took 1 damage, even though the card says "deals 1 damage to the opposing base"... ^_^

@Xserenz: I think there is a difference between changing the balance of the game, and changing the rules, also changing cards instead of rebalancing them hurts me feelings >_< Then again, ol' grumpy here ^^

@sleepingpill : choices make sense for pvp, some of them for both pvp and vs AI... as for lifetime, the game has only 2 months or so, still young and prone to balance changes.

These new odd restrictions to pvp, I am starting to really wonder if this game is worth keeping up with.. So many odd odd choices have been taken during its lifetime. It is a factor of people wanting different things in games, but I dont like it.

Found a bug: opposing Unstable Mutator targeted my first ship the whole game. Even when it was already at zero attack.

@Gatrog : mythical creature are found only in (regular) quick fight, and AI's deck must not have the fortress deckmod (which empties the deck). The faster way to find them is to have the AI to play all of its deck quickly (datastream deckmod) and not to kill AI before all of its deck has been played (or you might miss the mythical).

I have two questions :1) Will the Artifact campaign have others chapters in the future ? I really LOVE prismatic demons, and where a bit disappointed when I realised that there where only 1 chapter, not 4 like others 2) Where is the best place/are there special parameters, to see the mythical creatures needed for an achievement ? Because in more than 1.500 victories, I only find... One of these creatures (and didn't even noticed it). So, any tip to find the other 7 creatures ? Please ? (Oh, and thanks for this really addictive game !)

This version is compatible with the flash version, so you can transfer your savegame over. Both the flash and standalone version are also updated at the same time, but you'll have to manually download new versions as they become available.

speaking of which:
when opening a game, maybe you should be able to accept or deny the player, because if you want to play with someone specific there is no chance for the other player to know this.
There are notify options in the lobby, turn them on to see a small popup at the bottom of the screen whenever someone creates a multiplayer games. This can help if you're looking to play against a specific person.

i have a suggestion:
when you win an archievement in a campain, you always have to go back to the first menue, click on the stats button and the search for the right pagfe to get the card.
maybe add a function that you can just click on the archievement symbol in the campain menu. it would make things a lot easier.

Data Cube was changed because the drawing cards mechanic was OP, not because it was UP. For Pvp that is. Several card denial/drawing/recovery cards have been changed.

If you're stuck you can always ask in the game chat for some advice. I've completed a couple of campaigns and don't think the difficulty is excessive, especially using Xyl, who have a lot of +base hp cards and mages.
I hope this game can get badges or the community may die out before I get a chance to get into Pvp.

Unto the 3rd campaign and I won't play anymore. The AI has an impossible energy ramp up and puts out an unstoppable amount of ships. Even with 3 1/1 suicide Xyloxi Spark at the start I got overwhelmed with hammerhead and siege cruisers.

the only mistake i've seen so far in this game was when the data cube was changed. change it back to drawing cards instead of looking at your opponents hand, it was better that way.

It would be helpful to have an upgrade option in the deck editor so that if you have an extra copy of a card and want to improve the existing one in the deck, that you can do so, instead of enter editor, remove card, save deck, enter lab, choose cards, upgrade, leave lab, re-enter editor, restack in deck, leave editor. Too many steps.

To ensure you I'm serious about this suggestion, I'm going to use the word plead. As far as I recall I've never pleaded anyone since my parents when I'm a child. I plead you dev, to hear the earnest suggestion of a player who loves your game very very much. It's a beautiful piece of work, best online ccg i've ever played and I'd like to pour my time into it again but thinking things through under the current situation I simply can't do it. You're asking me to invest love into something that's just too fragile, I can't handle another heartbreak. I understand it will be a lot of work for you, but I'm sure you love the game as much if not more than I do.

No matter what i come up with, there's always going to be people who can't use the system properly and will blame me personally for loss of their savegames. It's too easy to shift all the responsability to the dev all the time. You can't compare HD Xyth to Tyrant or Elements as those games are online-only. I've said this before : there is a reason why most, if not all, triple A single-player games don't offer cloud saving systems - if anything goes wrong with such a system, the damage will be extensive and the dev will be to blame. I understand you have no control over cache. What I'm suggesting is consider completely revamping the saving system (I don't know much about programming or coding myself, so all I can do is suggest taking a look at the games Tyrant or Elements and what they do) because as you said more and more add-ons automatically wipe cache. I really enjoy your game but the thought of things outside my control can suddenly null EVERYTHING I do drains all will for me to play. It's like a question of will I deposit my life savings in a bank which can be robbed at anytime but with incredible interest rate or a bank with low returns but will always be there. Choice is clear.
The previous version of HD saved player progress on a database. 1. this costs me money. 2. people with certain privacy addons were still reporting problems as those addons were interfering with the data. 3. people without reliable internet connections were left out. HD Xyth saves a huge amount of data, optimized to use flash saving system. The only solution is an on-demand backup system available from in-game. I spent a week trying to come up with a database system as you're not the first to ask for this. It's simply not going to work out unless i spend a lot of time. Since this is a free game i have to draw the line when it comes to adding in features - spending a month for something that only 1% of the players might use isn't very interesting. It's already bad enough that i had to spend so much time looking for a solution without finding one.

But despite everything in my previous post about how awesome and incredible this game is, today I'm going to swear off this game. I've gotten so attached to my fleet which i literally crafted ship by ship it's actually caused me incredible distress when the hours and hours of invested time, effort and dare I say emotion became all for naught because of a cache wipe from reinstalling my browser. Today was the crafting legendary day, I had the ingredients. Today was the start of a new campaign, I had 251 points. No more, I can't handle this. Dear devs, you've done such an incredible job but please address this fundamental issue of cache save. Goodbye and I wish you all the best in the days to come.
I have no control over your browser's cache. I can't help it that more and more browsers and privacy protection add-ons hate flash savegames so much. It takes a bit more effort from players as well to take care of their savegames - you can't expect devs to solve all these problems.

I really really love this game. More of a PvE player so loving the progression in the pve that incredible feeling of slowly building up your fleet of ships in your arsenal day by day, week by week. Playing campaign fighting harder and harder AI each day I have yet to find a parallel in any other game and selectively crafting what you need it's brilliant. The unique skill set of each ship and general strategy of each race all so unique and having discovering synergy between units is an adventure in itself. I'm never bored when playing this game.

I think multiplayer needs checking. Even when i see people saying in the chat that they are playing online, spectator rooms are always empty, without matches going. I tried lots of times at different hours and are always shown empy.

There's quite a lot of cards, it's hard to customize decks as a noob. Maybe, make Human the noob deck, and we have to unlock other races? Anyway I must say this is one of the best Card Games I have played, congratulations.
