Thre game doesn't always unlock "Medium & Large fragments" research, a nd skips ahead unlocking more complex stuff instead, so basically you become kind of "stuck". If a new research is to become unlocked, all "prerequisite" researches not yet unlocked should also automatically unlock, too.

There we go, beat the game. :) Ahh that was enjoyable. It's a nice change of pace to play a game where you don't have to fight enemies, but you can still die and it's still engaging in that way. Very relaxing. Also the ending is TOTALLY a teaser for a sequel... XDD Props.

Don't get fully upgraded optics until you've gotten all the lost objects -- they are harder to find on levels 4-5 than 1-3

For some reason I can't research Gear of War (figured out that was it by process of elimination reading the crafting guide) -- I have all the artifacts, and I have every other item, but the research screen shows that to craft the remaining Unknown Object I need 1 Unknown Object, 1 Unbendable Titanium, and 1 Obsidian. My cargo bay shows only one Unknown Object (right before the other two gears). Maybe there's a bug that causes it to think that one of my "known" objects (maybe the Beveled Cog, which I have 10 of) is actually "unknown"?

The game should detect completely separately keypressp-down and keypress-up, and react accordingly.
This way, it would not be important the order in which I press the up arrow key, the left arrow key, and the spacebar key: as soon as a valid "drilling target" square is being faced corresponding to any one of the keys currently in the "down" state, then the robot should dig. this is NOt an "arcade high dexterity" game, and I find that controlling the robot can be very frustrating at times. the player controls should be used to indicate player INTENTION, noty the actual player's PERFORMANCE in actually succeeding at accomplishing the action.

Another MotherLoad knock-off? That isn't necessarily a bad thing, Canabalt created it's own type of game and apparently so has MotherLoad.

There's a bug with the radar pulse. When entering the ship to drop off inventory, the map resets to its original, non-colour-coded state.

once you build the xeno module, you can repair your pod for free by standing to the left of the ship. OR you can continue to repair and refuel by consuming those pesky "tiny" materials while mining. oh, and dilute gas. dilute gas is an AWESOME repair material if you willfully ignore the warnings not to keep digging when you get concentrated gas. (lol!)

So you can jump one square a boost one more, how about booster upgrade to make it one more square per level please? :3

to find obsidian you must go to a planet with lava and mine all around one of the lava pockets until there is no lava left in it. then drill through the pocket. you should find some obsidian.

Wonderful story, atmosphere and playability. Great game!
Could still be slightly improved by making the upgrades less of a hassle (eg. if something is required, make it upgradeable from the same screen rather than having to click back and forth between screens). Also, upgrading everything to lev 5 was somewhat tedious toward the end; I'm not sure if that was even required (could I just have clicked the final planet earlier? dunno), but that's the only objective I had on my screen - so if it wasn't mandatory, maybe make it more obvious. Anyway, this is all nitpicking on an overall awesome 5/5 game.

Loved the game, definitely a 5/5. I see a lot of complaining about the crafting system and at times it found it pretty annoying myself, but let's look at it this way: resources are infinite, time is infinite and lives are infinite, then where is the challenge? The slow process of crafting components to components to components of an upgrade might just be it :). A back button would be nice though. Like if you are in a recipe and you miss a component you click it, go in it, craft it and then click back to get to the previous recipe.
That aside I greatly enjoyed the story...the "humanity" of that little astro-bot is unbelievable :)

oh, and for those of you struggling to get gold or titanium becuase you can't survive the temperatures: go to an ice planet. There won't be a lot of it, but there will be enough to complete the cooling system. You can also get deeper artifacts more quickly this way.

to craft more of something after reasearching it, click the item in the cargo bay and click craft from there.
oh, and the two-way teleporters are VERY helpfull, especially with the limited cargo space you have untill rather late in the game.

Please tell me there"s a sequel in the works that involves "mining" the water world. I'm dying to get the rest of the story.

Having a difficult time finding gases on gas planets. Vespene is fine but Amaranthine seems to be impossible. Would love if someone told me an easier way to get some.

John Carbon? The distinctive reference to farscape made me burst out laughing.... And why do you have to have a youtube logo during the message?

I swear there is no titanium in this game...I have the upgrade that tells me what's on the planet...I went to a planet that says 300% next to titanium, yet I can never find any. Is it not a silverish color? The only thing I ever find is silver and iron. But I do love this game.
