I really wish that they would let you save what planet you're on along with all the progress made on it. It gets annoying, especially further into the game, when you have to keep on digging down 150+ feet to get the more valuable metals.

Well... when you mine upwards, you use your drills to pull your weight upwards:) but when u jump you only have the jets to support you. Think about it like a screew in the ceiling ;)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
to beat the game you need to find all the artifacts and refresh the game (t worked for me) or maybe travel to another planet is enough.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
one wonders why one can mine upwards nigh infinitely, yet when one tries to use the same jetpack for a jump (which offers far less resistance) one can only jump two squares high.

Fun game, but got really annoying towards the end with engineering - having to constantly flip back and forth around the recipes making small components into bigger ones over and over really wasn't fun. It would also be nice in the next episode to have more dangers - at no time did I ever fear dying, I'm not even sure what happens if you do. By mid game, teleporters made fuel and plating irrelevant anyway. Inventory space was frustrating to go back just to drop stuff off. No challenge to find resources because they're everywhere. I dunno, great basis for a vanilla mining game, but it needs something. Maybe consider adding another dimension like alien enemies?

Is there any sort of end of game cutscene I missed? I spent a long time working on finishing the game, and when I did, there was no sign that I had, other than receiving the Kong badge. I feel kind of cheated D:

If i was a lump of silver the size of a robot, with drills and cargo and stuff... i wouldn't be satisfied with being labeled 'ordinary'. Love the game though :)

@Gkeko please look in the cargo bay page and click on the item you would like to make and click craft or x5 hope this helps =P

I'm just wondering if I've run into a bug. I have over 100 tiny iron nuggets, but no matter how much I mine, I can't find anything bigger. And, its not giving me the option to create anything bigger, like it did once. So... I can't actually upgrade anything, because I can't get larger pieces of iron, or make screws or anything......

scrath my earlier comment about aberrant matter, it was actually "strange gloop" I was struggling with, aberrant matter is fine, still, just as stuck with strange gloop as before, any ideas?

how do i finish this game? i got all artefacts, did all research and upgraded every part of my ship to max level... so what to do to get the last badge?

It'd be great if the game would remember your progress on a planet. Many a time I have left the game without fully exploiting the planet, and I have to start fresh the next time I play.

Once you get how it works, this game gets pretty awesome. The only thing I don't like is that there is a end to the planets. Like in motherload, you could dig to hell.

@wolfmaster91 It's the animation of the dirt disappearing. With the animations off, the robot reaches the end of the block and the dirt disappears, with the animations on the robot chips away at the dirt block.

I'm sorry for the overreaction earlier, when I reloaded again the next day I got my items back. But therer is something else bothering me. The low quality setting says no shadows, there aren't any. But it also says no dig animations, yet it still shows the robot digging through the earth with the drills spinning and all. If those aren't digging animations, what are?

There's something about Motherload I just find better. Something about that creepy feeling Motherload gives you the deeper you go...

I agree with Quizer's comment on the need for an upgrade to increase jump and thrust height (Either increasing the height of your jumps, or allowing additional mid-air thrusts).
Also... what's with the "Reduces Vibration" upgrade? According to the tooltip, all it does is make Strange Gloop marginally easier to acquire, while making lava painfully slow to deplete to harvest/clear and making it almost impossible to acquire Abnormal Matter without dynamite

The end game portion is ruined by the amount of time needed to upgrade. Takes a good 2-3 min for stabilizing array and even more for the whole upgrade in total. Please make it so I can use make pre-requisites in one click.
Beginning was fun, but it faded slowly into tedious clicking.

Wonderful mining game!!!
i think would be nice to put levels:
-normal
-hard double damage, more difficult to get resources(less percentage and lower level in the ground(you need to get injuried if you want some lava :) ) and without tutorial
-insane(hard mode with you die and you need to begin the game :) )
like somebody say would be nice hotkeys for dinamite , teleport....
thanks for beautiful game, i finished one time and i begin now the second time :)

Great game, although a bit frustrating crafting system - too many repetitive clicks needed to create more advanced items. The crafting UI is the only weakness. Out of my head, I can think of a simple "Back" button, or a tree-like visualization of what's needed for an item. Both would also increase the immersion of creating complicated gadgets out of bare elements. :)
I can't wait for sequels in aquatic and/or aerial environments, as hinted on by the outro (oh yeah, SPOILER ALERT :) ).

@timelessbeing press "show all" in the inventory and check how deep titanium is.Maybe you can dig that enough yet.But you can go look for titanium in glacial planets,it looks as a small blue ore, hard to see if you don't upgrade your optics.

who would have thought i would live to see the day a game told me that i was having enviromental verheating on a glacial planet

How about a way to beam the mining bot's cargo from underground back to the ship without having to go all the way back. It could be another consumable or an upgrade of the standard teleporter.

Just an FYI the game never saves for me; I played this on my computer a few days in a row and had to restart each itme. Please look into this.
